    Oh, but I like the look of this team. 11 Changes, 10 improvements (not sure about dropping Cilliers to the bench).

    This match 22, at home, will be too strong for the Province boys (who aren’t so keen to travel north).

    Lions: 28
    WP: 18

    @katman-1: Not so much katman, Province wont make that mistake again. It will be tough no doubt but this WP side is just too good. Did you not watch them demolish the Cheetahs last Saturday?

    @katman-1: Jonker the ref….. advantage Province.

    @Hop Hop Spinnekop-3: Ag nee, Jonker is a plonker. I can just imagine him having to tell Deon Fourie to take it easy after he’s already let him get away with murder at the ruck 10 times, and the crowd are getting a little more than restless. Old Marius, sweating nervously as he eyes the exit tunnels at Ellis Park.

    “There must be some way out of here” said Jonker to the thief.

    So was it a B-team that played the Bulls?
    As much of a fan of Jantjies as I am – I thought Butch looked very good at 10 on Sat.

    @katman-1: Sterkte vir jou span Katman! Die telling was mos 22-9 so 3 weke terug, maar ek hoop my WP kan die’ keer beter doen.

    Should be a great game.

    @wing_14-2: How quickly you forget that the Lions traveled down to Cape Town a few weeks ago and thrashed this side that is “just too good”. I took my little boy to the game, in full Lions kit, and thanks to Province’s complete capitulation he now loves the game :)

    @bokfan1-5: Dankie, selfde vir jou span. Gaan ‘n taai game wees. Ek staan by my telling van 28-18.

    Katte will get out bullied upfront and outclassed at the back…. This can only go one way….

    @katman-6: It’s true.

    But it wasn’t quite the same side though now was it?

    But may the better team win on Saturday.

    I’ll say this though:

    If this Lions side with all it’s top players (more or less) does beat the WP side (with most of it’s top players, more or less) then serious questions need to be asked of their Super Rugby performance this year.

    I mean this is basically the Stormers team (yes minus some injuries but we’ve struggled with this the whole year) vs the Lions team from the Super comp. The one ended top and the other ended bottom.

    @phil72-10:

    it will be interesting.

    I’ll be squeezing into a lions jersey for that game regardless.

    @katman-15: The most profound words I ever heard was spoken by my caddie at the King David golf club when observing that i was holding back on my swing:

    Don’t worry, Just hit da ball! It’s got no mudda, it’s got no fada, just hit da ball!

    Works for me.

    No they call him Startrek because he has ears like a twitchy Rottweiler and a proclivity for viscose knits.

    He sounds like an indigenous David Leadbetter.

    Caddie name?

    Is that like how you find out your Pornstar name?

    The name of your first pet and last thing you ate for breakfast?

    @BrumbiesBoy-25: I once played a round of golf with a chap by the name of Luke Fairweather. A bit of a notorious character around these parts (may he rest in peace) and he had this saying “the harder you hit it……….the further it goes”…….. :)

    Works for me. I don’t really care in which direction mind you, that’s what caddies are for,

  • 31.stormersboy: Reply to this comment

    @gunther-29: There was another caddie there who had us call him “******”.

    I just couldn’t.

    @katman-33: hahahaha bacon and eggs.

    Reminds me of an incident that happened to me back when i was at varsity, I’d had a few drinks and collected several lamposts on the way home in my mazda 323.

    Luckily two families driving by stopped and helped, the Smiths and the Balls.

    Thankfully I was pulled out by the Smiths.

    Lyk my Taute word meer en meer gebruik as #13. Wat dink jy daarvan? Hy is mos n heelagter of hoe?
    En die Bokke het n heelagter nodig! Ons het baie #13s – en as JPP terug is – nog meer!

  • 41.bokfan1: Reply to this comment

    @Dummy Runner-17: I hope you are right, although that is only the first hurdle. We all know WP’s recent record 1. In Finals and 2. Against the Sharks!

  • 42.katman: Reply to this comment

    Dropped CJ & Cilliers? Minnie on bench? I think Ackermann has picked next years team only with Jantjes and Taute.
