Cantabs on track for five in a row

Canterbury will host Auckland in the New Zealand Cup final in Christchurch next weekend.

Canterbury, who have won the last four domestic titles despite having several of their players away on All Blacks duty, scored three converted tries in extra time of their home semi-final against Taranaki to win 51-27. The teams had been locked at 27-27 after 80 minutes.

In the second semi-final, Auckland claimed a 33-22 away win against Wellington, having trailed 15-9 early in the second half.
