Keo.co.za wraps up the weekend’s European action.

In the second round of the European Cup, Clermont secured back-to-back bonus-point wins as thrashed the Exeter Chiefs 46-12 at Sandy Park.

Inside centre Wesley Fofana was the star for the victors as he grabbed a brace, while wings Napoliono Nalaga and Sitiveni Sivivatu, and flank Julien Bonnaire also scored tries.

Saracens also picked up a good 30-13 win over Racing Metro in Brussels to take the lead in Pool 1. Munster and Leceister Tigers recorded their first victories of the tournament against Edinburgh (33-0) and the Ospreys (39-22) respectively.

Toulouse, Harelquins, Ulster and Toulon remain unbeaten as they downed Treviso (33-21), Connacht (30-22), Glasgow (19-8) and the Cardiff Blues (22-14) respectively, and top their respective groups.

In the European Challenge Cup, Bath and Gloucester claimed vital triumphs over Agen (27-22) and Bordeaux (25-13) respectively.

    Any side that send off the bench Hayman, Sheridan and Shaw must rank as the most interesting side in the world today – Toulon surely are. Johnny Wilkinson (feeding a centre combination of Gitau and Basteraud) is batting for a place in the Lions tour next year – I’ll put money that he gets in.

    As for Bakkies … where he goes, I go. Vivre le Toulon (coached by madman Bernard Laporte – yes, academically this is the most fascinating side in world rugby).
