@stormersboy-55: I notice nobody (even Sharkies) are suggesting Alberts as 8 cover. BTW Dewaldt can also cover all 3 loosie positions.

In the spirit of blooding new blood into the team, I agree with many who feel that Craig Burden has earned a shot. Strauss is a safe option but offers nothing out of the ordinary and we know what we have in him.

Would love to see Jordaan get a shot from the bench. He is a far better 13 than Juan in my opinion. Jordaan is one of a few players ever who has the ability to step so sharply without losing pace. Shades of Gerber/ Cullen. He could be a very special player for us. The Boks desperately need more X factor in the backline and Jordaan is something special.

Arno Botha or Kolisi might be ready for the bench too. Steph Du Toit needs another season in SR I reckon before he gets selected.

Apart from that, I wouldn’t tinker too much.

@Brigadier Van Zyl-33: I'd pick Dewald Potgieter ahead of Keegan, but the issue is someone who can play 8 as cover, so it's Keegan or Botha as cover for Vermeulen.

@mshiniwami-47: Bekker is out for the rest of the year. If Heyneke thinks Etzebeth is capable, I'd like to see him take over as the middle jumper, and play him next to Flip van der Merwe. Not going to happen though. Lambie needs to start at 10. Too impressive not to give him his shot. Jaco Taute is going to the Stormers to play fullback, and should be that for SA heading forward. Outside of that I can't disagree too much. Can forget about Aplon making it though, not going to happen.

@Skeppie-15: Its too easy to label 'not good enough for test level, super 15 only'...Fourie has shown to be very able at super rugby...give him a go and then decide!! keegan can be labelled super rugby only as he has had a chance at test level and found to be not wanting but just about cutting it!! I say give him a chance purely as recognition that performance pays...send a good message as well that if you perform you will be chosen!!

@hendrikp-40: Was just responding to any thread of yours. Jdj is a solid option, but i believe at Bok level, players just lose their ability or the just stick to the game plan. So its best to get somebody who can play off scraps and make something out of it. With the Bok game plan Mapoe is the answer.
