Ireland lose another to injury
5 Nov 2012
Flanker Stephen Ferris is the latest big name Ireland player to be ruled out of Saturday’s Test against the Springboks.
Ferris sustained an ankle injury while playing in a club match for Ulster on Friday. He will miss the game against the Boks and the following match against Fiji.
Ireland have already lost captain Brian O’Driscoll to injury, as well as senior Test players of the quality of lock Paul O’Connell, fullback Rob Kearney and hooker Rory Best.

Ferris is a blow for Ire. He is quality. However, Ire. have depth in the back-row position and will find an able replacement.
