Dagg concern for ABs

The All Blacks will monitor injured fullback Israel Dagg ahead of their Test against Italy this weekend.

Dagg was replaced during New Zealand’s 51-22 win over Scotland after picking up an injury following a hard fall.

He’s not ruled out of Saturday’s match, but head coach Steve Hansen might have to run Ben Smith or flyhalf Beauden Barrett at No 15 against the Azzurri.

‘We don’t know completely how bad it is, but he fell from a great height and landed on his buttocks as Mr Gump would say,’ said Hansen. ‘He’s sore. How long it will take we’ll have to see.’

Cruden at 10, Barrett at 15 for the first 60 minutes. Then push Barrett into 10 and bring Smith on at 15. Not sure who should handle the kicking duties. Hopefully by the time Cruden is subbed, we’ll be far enough ahead that Barrett won’t be under much pressure. Hopefully :)
