Tigers down NZ Maori

The NZ Maori lost their first tour match 32-24 against the Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on Tuesday.

Young pivot George Ford played a match-winning role with the boot, kicking six penalties and two conversions for an individual tally of 22 points. Wing Niall Morris and Adam Thompstone crossed the chalk for the hosts.

The NZ Maori were guilty of poor discipline and lost fullback Andre Taylor and lock Jarrad Hoeata to the sin bin during the match. The tourists scored their tries via scrumhalf Frae Wilson, centre Tim Bateman and wing Charlie Ngatai.

The defeat ended an eight-match winning streak that stretches back to 2007. The NZ Maori lost 17-13 to the England Saxons that year.

“The defeat ended an eight-match winning streak that stretches back to 2007. The NZ Maori lost 17-13 to the England Saxons that year.” Does this sentence even make sense?

Yes, before this loss the previous loss was in 2007 against the England Sxons…inbetween they had 8 wins on the trot.

PS Keep in mind for most scribes on keo English is a foreign language…

Who cares about the AIG brand, their money still buys the same amount of toys as it did yesterday for the NZRU.

All this talk about the rhinos yesterday reminded me of “things fat”.

It’s like my ex, I’m not in anyways saying she was fat but our last holiday together was spent in Vishoek and every time she came out the water Greenpeace tried to push her back in…

I’m surprised the men in grey suits didn’t go for her then, they love feeding off helpless whales in False Bay…

Was she always fat, or did she morph into this lump after being with you a while?

The loss is bad enough, but the discipline issue is a serious issue for Joseph.

As a player he lacked control on that front.

Please don’t mention “sharks” and “Fish Hoek” in the same sentence on here, certain people might get upset.

@WP-Forever-12: She even made it onto the front page of the local rag, “Fish Hoek Echo”.

    The whole page.

    Fish Hoek Echo?

I thought that was the name the locals gave to the sound her belly button made?
