Late blow for Scots
16 Nov 2012
Scotland flanker Alasdair Strokosch has been ruled out of Saturday’s Test against the Springboks because of a calf strain.
Strokosch is the second Scotland flanker to succumb to injury in the space of a week. Openside Ross Rennie injured his shoulder in the recent Test against the All Blacks, and will also miss the clash against the Boks.
Coach Andy Robinson has opted to bring John Barclay into the starting side to replace Strokosch. Barclay will, however, play openside, with Kelly Brown moving to blindside.
Loose forward Stuart McInally is brought on to the bench.
Scotland (revised) – 15 Stuart Hogg, 14 Sean Lamont, 13 Nick De Luca, 12 Matt Scott, 11 Tim Visser, 10 Greig Laidlaw, 9 Mike Blair, 8 David Denton, 7 John Barclay, 6 Kelly Brown, 5 Jim Hamilton, 4 Richie Gray, 3 Euan Murray, 2 Ross Ford, 1 Ryan Grant.
Subs: 16 Dougie Hall, 17 Kyle Traynor, 18 Geoff Cross, 19 Alastair Kellock, 20 Stuart McInally, 21 Henry Pyrgos, 22 Ruaridh Jackson, 23 Peter Murchie

@poppa69-3: It certainly works that way in this part of the globe. I have seen okes claiming Aussies injured Brussow’s ribs, while Vickerman actually hit his head. So all comes from the head.

@wnbb-5: You certainly talk a good talk. For a scrawny little dog molester.
