Beast targets Super Rugby comeback

Springbok prop Beast Mtawarira is recovering from a successful medical procedure and should be available to both the Sharks and Boks in 2013.

Mtawarira withdrew from the Test against Ireland on 10 November as a precautionary measure, after he had a recurrence of mild heart palpitations that morning.

The Springbok prop had an irregular heart rhythm, according to team doctor Craig Roberts. He underwent a minor procedure in Cape Town last Wednesday to correct this and was released from hospital on Friday.

The big man confirmed that the procedure was successful, and that while he won’t be back for the Boks’ final Test against England, he will be available for the 2013 season.

‘I am well, so there is really no need to worry,’ said Mtawarira in a statement. ‘It’s only a minor procedure and sometimes it needs to be done more than once to clear the palpitations. This is something that has happened to me before and that can be treated. Also, it’s not career-threatening.

‘Sometimes I get quite excited before a game and that is probably what triggered it. I am at peace with everything because I know God has a great plan for my life. I have prayed about it with my family and trust the Lord for a full recovery.

‘It’s sad to miss out on the last two Tests of the season, but I’ve enjoyed a good year and am looking forward to 2013 very much.

‘There are obviously positives to come out of this as well, one of which is that my little girl was very happy to have me home a bit earlier than expected.’

Everything is pointing at the guy taking something he shouldn’t and its subsequent result
if it was really a heart problem, no one would have insured him

Good player personally do not feel that he has had his best of seasons .
Do not believe for 1 second that he is on anything however interestingly enough when spies had a similar case everyone insinuated that.

Can someone please tell Keo to lock his bag. Not all envelopes are headache powders. Even if it appears to be.

    Rest will do him well.
