Hore set for hefty ban

New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.

Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.

The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.

Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

    but we like our outdoors activities camping, fishing, hiking, mountain biking etc…and bakkies are great ffrom a lifestyle POV i guess… and yeah… we pay the price…!

    Engadget’s Darren Murph nabs Guinness World Record for most blog posts ever written!

    We always knew Darren Murph had oodles of talent and was extremely prolific — but now the man has got the paper to seriously prove it. Our own Mr. Murph was just awarded the Guinness World Record for most posts ever by a blogger. Not only is this a first for Darren, it’s a first for Guinness as well, creating a new category for the group. Darren joined Engadget in July of 2006 (his first post is here), and almost four years to the day (when these numbers were submitted to Guinness) he’d arrived at 17,212 individual posts (since surpassed, of course). That’s single posts on Engadget, Engadget HD, and Engadget Mobile, not duplicated work. We obviously couldn’t be more proud of Darren and the work he’s done (and continues to do) here, and we think this is an amazing feat for one writer. Of course, this is the guy who did 59 posts in a single day at CES 2008. Seriously. To put it in perspective, his current word count is at 3,389,148. That’s War and Peace about six times over.

    I’m sure a few here can challenge ol’ Mr Murph!!! :lol:

    Just before I go… We have a pretty long way to go to break any serious world records…

    Guinness confirmed that a total of 1,001,552 comments were made on a single post on the Frontierville Facebook page. The original post was made by Tracey Hodgson on Oct. 30, 2011.

    But it wasn’t a huge group of people; in fact, just 107 people participated, or an average of about 9,360 comments per person. But an even smaller number were responsible for the commenting that secured the record.
