Hore set for hefty ban
26 Nov 2012
New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.
Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.
The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.
Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

ok, ok. My technically astute friends.
A straight out brawl.
Who takes it?
7 Dec 2012, 13:28 pm
@Taahirah-10393: Eben. Bissie would want to gooi the smack talk first: i.e: ek gaan jou ‘n moerse PK gee jou snotkopfokfcadillycntface…
Eben will effect the takedown whilst Bissie is throwing the threats. (Eben doesn’t talk much….)

@Taahirah-10402:
It’s gotta be Eben. He knocked him out once without effort I skim he would easily to it again…

@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-10403: I agree. I cant see anyone getting up from an Etzebeth punch.

@Taahirah-10389:
I am quoting 2007 figures here.
SA produced 11.4 million metric tonnes of corn.
And consumed 115 kgs per capita. With the consumption per capita increasing steadily yr by yr,
By my reckoning that makes an excess of around 5.5 mil tonnes.
(hey is this better than rugby or what).

@Gumboots-10404: Whale Point: therapy in a bottle
He seems to be doing rather well in his sessions.

I always knew NZ were about two years behind the rest of the world but five years is a real shock to me. 2007???
7 Dec 2012, 13:35 pm
well there’s one reason to regret the departure of rudolf straueli.
he would have made a point of finding out just who can moer who in the squad.
7 Dec 2012, 13:35 pm
@Taahirah-10406: Bissie would trash talk, dance around etc. Eben would stand and deliver. One shot. Gone.:)

What about Eben Etzebeth and Mike Tyson?
7 Dec 2012, 13:38 pm
@Gumboots-10388:
The corniest nation is the USA.
251 million metric tonnes.
And that okes is a lot of corn flakes.
(you asked, now you know).

I guess most of us could have guessed that one…
7 Dec 2012, 13:39 pm
@willievz-10414: In current shape? Etzebeth with one hand tied behind his back.
Tyson in his prime? Tyson in under a minute flat.
7 Dec 2012, 13:40 pm
@willievz-10414:
Tyson to knock him out in 3 seconds.
If Eben brings all his uncles along it will take 5 seconds.
7 Dec 2012, 13:40 pm
@Taahirah-10418: Eben is a lot bigger than Tyson though.
And in a bar fight there are no rules.

@Gumboots-10409:
Hey my book is old,
I am old.

But there is still life in the Old Hore yet.

@Gumboots-10417:
Many yes.
most………………………………………..maybe.
But now they know for sure.
7 Dec 2012, 13:42 pm
@willievz-10420: Most of the boxers Tyson have faced were a lot bigger than him. Didnt matter.
And as for no rules: You do realise that hands Iron Mike an advantage he doesnt even need, right?
7 Dec 2012, 13:43 pm
@cane-10421:
True… hehehe
7 Dec 2012, 13:43 pm
@Robzim-10419:
not so sure about that.
lewis was older than tyson when he knocked him out.
against much bigger, stronger opponents he really struggled.
7 Dec 2012, 13:44 pm
@Taahirah-10426:
Lol…. for sure, he will even bite if it’s necessary.
7 Dec 2012, 13:44 pm
@Taahirah-10418:
“Tyson in his prime”.
An animal. He would have taken out Ali in 7 rounds.
7 Dec 2012, 13:45 pm
@willievz-10420: In a bar fight, you only need one good shot. I have seen teenyweenynerdylittlefuckers get one shot at a big, strong roid boys and BAM – they have connected.
Eben is a bar fighter…no time for the razz matazz, dances, poses and smiles. A stand and deliver fighter, with zero smacktalk. The most dangerous type there is.
7 Dec 2012, 13:45 pm
@cane-10425:
Confirmed then…
7 Dec 2012, 13:45 pm
@Robzim-10423: Fair enough.
Read Tyson says he caught his ex-wife in bed with Brad pitt once. Apparently the look on Brad’s face was priceless. I’d have sh-at myself right there.

So you also frequented Forries then?
7 Dec 2012, 13:46 pm
@cane-10430: YES! Finally someone who agrees with me!
Its not a popular opinion but I reckon Tyson would have knocked out Ali cold.
7 Dec 2012, 13:46 pm
@ryecatcher-10424: Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeetings friend
I actually got some work done this morning….(it made for a rather productive morning, for a change) And just when you think you’re in the zone, BAM, the hore gives another kick.
7 Dec 2012, 13:47 pm
And Gerrie would’ve bliksemed all of them!
7 Dec 2012, 13:47 pm
Will never never forget when Gerrie Coetzee knock down Michael Dokes.
I remember his father shouting in the background ….. My seun, my seun, my seun.

my thinking too.
7 Dec 2012, 13:48 pm
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-10428:
Lewis was an absolute brilliant boxer- one of the best ever– his left jab was arguably better than Ali’s
He is a very good chessplayer too– apparently at Masters level.
He loves to play the french defence— “wait and wait and then “boom”-all over…
7 Dec 2012, 13:49 pm
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-10428: Tyson was in bad shape and in a bad space already then. Refused to train for days on end, ignoring his trainers.
By then it was all about the payday, sadly.
7 Dec 2012, 13:49 pm
@Gumboots-10434: I saw a little fella plant a sweet one on the jaw of a meanmuddafuckka at the old Castle Corner:’Sahara pffffffffffft Park’ Newlands. Huge guy, fancy footwork, and the IT nerd stood and delivered. He rocked the shot.
7 Dec 2012, 13:50 pm
@Taahirah-10435:
I completely disagree. Cassius was a very clever fighter.
7 Dec 2012, 13:50 pm
@Robzim-10441: The Klitscko brothers invented chessboxing, Lewis should give it a go.
7 Dec 2012, 13:51 pm
