Hore set for hefty ban

New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.

Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.

The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.

Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

Another booby – all by default…

@Gumboots-10447: Thats the thing about a fight.
The question isnt whether you can throw a punch to knock someone out cold, coz everyone can do that.
Its whether you can take a knockout blow to the chin and remain standing.

    Goodnight all.

And next time you meet a corn farmer,
    shake his hand,
    hug the man even.

But let him know, SA is proud of him.

You could even show him a picture of Niki, and explain the booby prize thing.

Go on make the farmers day.

    ;)

    Fair enough.

Just think that Ali would have dance around the ring, jabbing Tyson in submission. Joe Frazier was also a devastating puncher just like Tyson and Ali eventually got the better of him.

    yip
its unfortunate the world will never know the answers to these question in perhaps the same way the ali – foreman contest was decided.

same goes for pacman – mayweather, i fear the best time for both of them has passed.

personally i think even fully fit tyson would have lost to lewis. i watched that fight… it was brutal… never seen a man beaten into submission as methodically as that in a long time.

  • 10464.Taahirah: Reply to this comment

@Jeraldjay-10461: Yip but Ali normally tired after a couple of rounds of dancing, compromising his footwork when he stopped. Tyson time.
    Overarm right.
    Thanks for coming.

Well thats normally my tactic on Fight Night 3 on my Playstation.
    ;)

One thing about Ali is that besides his brilliant footwork and speed he could also take a punch.
Like he did when he fought Foreman- just soaking up everything George threw at him.
Sadly it came at a price eventually.

  • 10467.Taahirah: Reply to this comment

@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-10463: Yeas, I remember it vividly. Iron Mike hardly landed a punch, Lewis using his reach advantage to great effect.
Tyson visibly tired around Round 3 and from there on it was just a matter of time, barring a Hashim Rahman- like luck punch.

  • 10468.willievz: Reply to this comment

@Taahirah-10464: Tyson lost to Buster Douglas who took a leaf out of Ali’s book and moved around the ring constantly.

    First fight Tyson lost.

Douglas lost his next fight ( I think). Tyson won his next by KO, in the 1st round.
