Hore set for hefty ban

New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.
Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.
The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.
Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

resigned from his post with immediate

endeavours”.

in the CEO position up until such a time
when a fulltime replacement is found to

In the meantime, there’s a fantastic talk show host on Cape Talk/702, Redi Thlabe, who always says she knows she’s on the right track when her white listeners call her a racist and her black listeners call her a coconut. Why? Because she’s made peace with herself and she understands the historical context of the time and place she lives in. Therefore the extremists can’t get to her anymore. Whattagirl.

Laxton was amazing. Didn’t he also start Hawk? I had a rather long joint filled evening/night with him, before we set off to watch the sunrise with a crowd of others, from Chapmans Peak. Partly, because of the cloud, it was about 9.00am before we realized that the sun may have already come up a couple of hours earlier.

She’s just made the Forbes list of the 20 most influential young Africans, and she now has an international show on Al Jazeera, North to South. Watch it if you can, it’s brilliant. Last Friday she had a conversation with the Indian writer Arundhati Roy. Those two women have enough energy between them to change the world. (And I’m not her PRO, promise).

Julian Laxton has been active in the music industry for many years. He first made a name for himself as a guitarist in many Rock bands(Freedoms Children, Hawk, The Nevadas, etc), as well as Folk groups(Mel, Mel and Julian). In his last band “The Julian Laxton Band”, He wrote, arranged and Produced such hit songs as “Celebrate The Rain”, “Blue Waters”, and “Johannesburg”.
He has also been very active in the Record Production side of the industry and has produced many Hit songs with Artists such as “Rabbit”, “Stingray”, “Margaret Singana”, “Mango Groove”, “Stockley Sisters”, “Lucky Dube” and many others.
Julian has also written many Radio, T.V. and Cinema commercials (Jingles) and has won numerous local and international awards, including 2 Bronze awards in New York and a nomination for “Best International Radio Commercial”. He was also the first jingle writer to compose the first totally localy produced Coca Cola commercial in S. Africa a few years ago witch also won a Lurie award.

He has also produced musical tributes and has performed in such shows as “The Legend of Clapton”, “The Legend of Hendrix” and his last one, “True Music Legends”
His latest project was to re-arrange, produce and record children’s nursery rhymes and lullaby’s into classical format, using classical instruments, as an educational tool for babies, witch are the accompanying CD’s called “Majors For Minors”.
Julian has his own recording studio from where he does all his writing and recording.
