Hore set for hefty ban

New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.
Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.
The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.
Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

indeed rye… hate is a very destructive emotion…
wasn’t referring to either you or treehugger personally…
the sad fact is there are haters on all ‘sides’… and just making the point that it doesn’t have to be that we all just fall in line with them because they are fans of the same teams we are…
i line up to watch my team(s) play rugby… hopefully attractive and hopefully winning… i chat on keo mainly to chat to people who also love rugby who can feed my need for information and knowledge about the game and the players…
i don’t watch rugby or chat on keo to line up against and stick it to the fans of other sides…
sure the banter is really fun… and i enjoy it… but the haters often derail it into brawling that sometimes makes the green street hooligans look like choirboys… and most of it starts with the us and them group generalisations… and that pack mentality can take over quite easily…
nowhere is it written that we simply have to fall in rank with them…

IMO usually jealousy or fear of the opposition causes the nails to come out.
The bigger threat the opposition is to one’s own team, the more nasty people tend to get.
I agree that banter is fun, but some do take it to extremes.

yeah… i know… just don’t understand it…
obviously i understand the camaraderie of hanging with people who support the same team… just don’t understand the judging of people, good or bad, by the colour of the supporters jersey they wear instead of the person inside it…
anyway… nothing’s gonna change i guess… and 2013 on keo will be just as robust as 2012…

I think this “hate” business is just a silly accusation by bloggers whose team is criticised or subject to banter. I seriously doubt whether anyone, other than the adolescents, seriously believe that their team is hated. The only exception though appears to be the Kings where Cheeky and the team have received the same abuse he did when it became known he was an ANC member.
