Hore set for hefty ban
26 Nov 2012
New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.
Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.
The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.
Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

Depending on your daughter age, why try not get her involved with the ******* in the Cape, they are seriously being decimated that side.
Passive work, first she needs a bit of knowledge about them, even if its handing out phamplets (sp) stopping people from feeding them.
******* are not aggressive to humans, I can speak with some friends and see if and what is possible.

Oh ok….and it was b*b**ns…..
Working with animals can be very rewarding and very sad, depending what you are exposed to as get older.
I have been this way since I moved to Africa and saw Born Free, used to help out at vets on weekends whilst at school. Seriously don’t put her in a situation where she experiences sad stuff, oh and she will want to bring home every dog that can’t find a home. When she finds out about euthanasia it will be very hard on her. As she get older she will possibly lose interest, and then the interest will be boys
Otherwise she will become more militant as she gets older depending on her experiences and the people she meets. ARA’s are becoming more aware and more militant because of the internet and the exposure of what is happening. It is really mind blowing, fortunately numbers are growing specially in Isreal, Europe and USA, even India.

Ok then, if that’s her age she is a big girl and can make choices. My friends are not really suitable, BUT Silke at Bambabele would be perfect. She was on 50/50 a few weeks ago. Maybe you should go spend a night there at on of the little guest lodges over a weekend and she can look a round, it will be a wonderful experience. If you interest I will get hold of silke or I can get her details and you can phone or email for a night or 2 there with you family. It is a primate sancvtuary near Warmbaths in the bush, does rehabilitation releases as well, has girlies that come from Europe that stay for a month at a time and keep coming back each year. Oh this is not something she will everr be able to earn a living at, quite the opposite actually.

Sorry typing is so bad, am in the dark, just light from keypad, and as usual distracted lol.
29 Dec 2012, 20:53 pm
@Treehugger-19031:
Thanks, will look into that.
I am going to be out of circulation in a sense for January and February if I get called up for the AFCON Tournament.
Will be working 12 hour shifts every day from the 10th Jan to 15 Feb, so will have to see after that.
Will google it and have a look.
29 Dec 2012, 20:55 pm

Well some of the wounds inflicted on the ones she rescues is quite astonishing. Some caused by man, some other causes.
She must be quite a skilled vet nurse by now!!
29 Dec 2012, 21:20 pm
@nortierd-19042:
Btw what is an AFCON Tournament?
29 Dec 2012, 21:25 pm
@carol-19045:
African Cup of Nations.
Soccer tournament for the African countries.
16 teams, so like half a World Cup
29 Dec 2012, 21:28 pm
@carol-19043:
thanks Carol, you’re too kind. i wouldn’t say i’ve been the best of contributors by a long shot but i do try to give it my best hehe
its really been a group effort and the fun’s to be had in everyone posting their bits here and there.
and of course we should be mindful of what brought us here in the first place, that most terrible assault on that most unfortunate welshman… by an ostensibly good kiwi gone bad (or so they say)
29 Dec 2012, 21:35 pm
@nortierd-19046:
Sounds hectic. Hope you have a great time, these events can produce great camradarie and lifelong friendships as well as fierce local rivalry!!
Good luck

@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-19047:
Well that ‘Assault’ has given us some excellent Christmas cheer!!
Love how Skop rants about Christmas yet still pops on for some Christmas cheer and goodwill!!
Now, when do you think I need to pop back to attempt to be the first Pommie to hit 20,000!!
29 Dec 2012, 21:51 pm
@carol-19049:
it’s hard to say, things have slowed down quite a bit around here. my feeling is it’ll be a little slower going to 20 000 than one would expect otherwise. 18 to 19 thousand took about five days i think.
i would say it’s probably safe to come back in about four or five days for the big one. there may be a flurry of people posting new years wishes and greetings on and around new years eve but it shouldn’t be a sustained quantity.
hope that helps and you can always just pop in to double check every so often.
