Hore set for hefty ban
26 Nov 2012
New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.
Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.
The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.
Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

@CharlesM-19400:
They’re probably the same ones driven by women in Jhb talking on their cellphones whilst trying to get into/out of a parking lot.

@CharlesM-19400:
The funny part is the faster they drive, the more stops they make for gas.
They pass you, then some way further down the road they pass you again after making a pit stop where you didn’t have to and this pattern keeps repeating.

@nortierd-19397:
sure but i was referring to macaw, who will be available for the ab’s.
i dont rate blackadder, i think his ceiling is as a ‘great coach pity he could never win anything with a good squad’ type person.

@David-19401:
He he
Those in Jo’burg and Pretoria, especially Menlyn Park shopping center.
I think the only time they go “off road” is when they climb a curb to park illegally in front off an entrance, lest they have to look for a parking stop or heaven forbid, have to stop so far they must actually walk to the entrance.

@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-19403:
Maybe, but he is a very likable person.
He epitomizes the spirit of rugby through his playing days and now into his coaching.
You must try get hold of his book, it’s called ” Loyal” and is a very worthwhile read.

@nortierd-19404:
I was about to make the same comment about off road experience as Parhurst is full of them littering the pavements.

@Hurricane-19412:
What’s special about flying cars? Our roads are full of them over the holidays.
31 Dec 2012, 13:27 pm
@nortierd-19405:
ja, but if the crusaders are serious about winning titles then the question inevitably will need to be asked. he’s been in charge since 2008.?..
another one od those cases where good players more often than not dont make good coaches it seems.
31 Dec 2012, 13:28 pm
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-19382:

31 Dec 2012, 13:33 pm
@ufo-19419:
wowsers!
i guess you never really know people hey.
anyway, it would be unfair to judge this lady without really knowing anything about her. and if she makes him happy then what is it to us.
31 Dec 2012, 13:35 pm
so popped into the local mall for some goodies for tonight…
and bumped into roger taylor looking very captonian and unqueen-like in his wind-blown hair, scruffy shirt, baggies and flip-flops… shopping bags in hand… with some mate of his…
he has a home in one of our suburbs…
so the place is crowded as heck… so literally have to squeeze passed each other… catch each other’s eye, so i just nod and he winks… so i say ‘keep rocking’… (couldn’t think of anything else)… so he says ‘always’…
and we each carry on with our shopping…
31 Dec 2012, 13:36 pm
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-19418:
You must look at the bigger picture as well Bakkies.
2009 and 2010 they lost to the Bulls, who were the eventual champs in the semi’s.
No shame or disgrace in that, as at the time they were a serious force, I guess I don’t have to tell you that.
In 2011 the had no home ground, travelled more that 100 000 km in air miles and still made the final.
This year they lost in the semi’s to the eventual champions as well.
There are sides who have been playing for how many years and hasn’t even sniffed a semi yet.
Due to their dominance in previous years, anything less than the title is deemed a failure, which is not necessarily a true reflection.
31 Dec 2012, 13:38 pm
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-19422:
yeah bakks… each to their own lifestyle for sure…
but do think it just a leeetle bit rich saying she’s a church-going lady who doesn’t participate… but make’s a living organising for others to…?
but yeah… each to their own i guess…
31 Dec 2012, 13:45 pm
@Brumbiesboytjie: planting bombs? who said anything about bombs?!
isn’t this supporting the Brumbies, Aussies in cricket & generally disparaging anything South African a form of “protest” against the ANC?
Why didn’t you do the same against the apartheid Springboks? Why did you have to wait for the same vile Nats to grant you a referundum for you to show them what you supposedly thought?
it wasn’t convinient for you to speak out then wasn’t it? you didn’t want to come across as a commie neh?
the secrecy of a referendum voting booth was “safe” for you, a champion of non-racial sport
look who is talking about chips on shoulders, a Brumbies-supporting, Protea-hating, Joburg-living Saffa bwahahaha
gotta love it <3
31 Dec 2012, 13:48 pm
@Hurricane-19408: Happy New Year mate! All the best for 2013 and remember…finishing 2nd in the Super Rugby won’t be so bad, at least you’ll know that you tried your hardest!!!
31 Dec 2012, 13:49 pm
@nortierd-19420:

31 Dec 2012, 13:53 pm
@CharlesM-19395: Hi Charles.God bless you and yours in 2013
31 Dec 2012, 13:54 pm
@Transformation-19426: What I spoke to my peers etc about, and did in those days has got nothing to do with you or anybody else, however you’re on the right track when you talk about the “k-boetie” attitude a lot of people had of me.
Sad really.
31 Dec 2012, 13:57 pm
@nortierd-19429:
hehehe…
moi…?
yeah… freddie was an original for sure… true musically genius in my book…
seems incredible that he’s been dead 20 years now…
31 Dec 2012, 13:58 pm
Poppa, if you do return again, have a very good New Year as well, seeing that you are also already in 2013
31 Dec 2012, 13:59 pm
@nortierd-19424:
i hear you Nortie, but with history comes heavy expectation i guess.
they certainly have been competitive throughout his tenure but what then if he goes another season or two short?
@ufo-19425:
yes, it certainly would make for uncomfortable situations for both at times, if ever brought up i suppose. but, if he loves her truly then it wont matter to him.
its a strange old world indeed.
31 Dec 2012, 14:03 pm
@ufo-19432:
I remember last year I had to do a country wide trip over 6 weeks for work, and I had 3 younger members with me in the vehicle.
First stop I bought the 3 CD collection of Queen, and being the senior and driver, they had no choice but to get a musical education of the like they never thought they would.
Coupled with some 80′s greatest hits, Depeche Mode and Rodriguez, they had their earphones plugged in for 16 000 km.
31 Dec 2012, 14:03 pm
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-19434:
indeed…
only thing that matters is if they find happiness with each other…
31 Dec 2012, 14:05 pm
You are the coward and liar,Brumbiesboy.You supported the apartheid Boks and Transvaal rugby teams and now you want to justify it by saying you voted for change in a whites-only referendum.Why did you support those teams when you were so against the nationalist policies.You happily stood to attention singing ‘die stem’ at rugby games.There are whites who did not support the system….as well as apartheid Bok teams.Fact.Why didn’t you??
31 Dec 2012, 14:05 pm
@nortierd-19435:
great story…
well done…!
an education they may only thank you for years from now…
31 Dec 2012, 14:06 pm
anyway friends, captonians and rugby lovers…
may i wish you and all your loved ones a very pleasant evening… enjoy it but don’t hit it too hard… especially if you’re gonna drive…
have a happy and safe new year…
and may 2013 exceed all your hopes and expectations…
will be hiking up table mountain to sit on a peak at midnight and welcome the new year looking over the lights of the city with a wee single malt and hot coffee…
see you all next year…!!
31 Dec 2012, 14:09 pm
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-19434:
I don’t think it will matter, the NZ Board dictates to him when and how he may use their most valuable commodities, so it will be unfair to blame him if they tell him he may not use Richie or Carter, or at least that’s how I would look at it.
We all know the difference those two makes to any team when they are fit and ready.
31 Dec 2012, 14:11 pm
@ufo-19439:
Enjoy it, hope you have a great 2013 and let’s hope it’s the Year of the Stormers
31 Dec 2012, 14:13 pm
@ufo-19439:
Many years ago, a friend used to climb Table Mountain (Africa Face) with a half gallon jar of Tassies on New Years Eve.
31 Dec 2012, 14:13 pm
@ufo-19439:

enjoy the hike and hopefully a happy new year too.
31 Dec 2012, 14:19 pm
@ufo-19439:
Same to you , enjoy and have a good one.
Be careful that the wind don’t blow you off the mountain

31 Dec 2012, 14:25 pm
WNBB TRANSFORMATION BRUMBIESBOY.
We are hours away from 2013,18 years from 1994
.If you cannot make peace with each other,then at least be less provocative.
PLEASE
31 Dec 2012, 14:27 pm
@wnbb-19437: Now you listen here, what you have conveniently forgotten is that there wasn’t anything of note to support in my time because of the (correct) sporting isolation.
And when the Boks played their last official test series against NZ in 1981 I wasn’t even aware of the tour as I has no interest in rugby at that time and in any case was in the USA so don’t come with your “standing to attention singing Die Stem” bullsh.t.
Also bear in mind that when I was at school the Nats prevented us from playing soccer after Standard 5 and my mother unfortunately could not afford to send us to a private school where we may have got a better education.
Come 1986 (after the first referundum) we all knew the writing was on the wall for the Nats and yes, I did support the “new” Boks against the New Zealand Cavaliers (rebel tour) and you jknow what, sorry for you but I have no regrets whatsoever about that.
31 Dec 2012, 14:28 pm
@Robzim-19444: Have to admire your
knowledge of music and musicians.
An early new years God bless to you and yours
31 Dec 2012, 14:42 pm
@ryecatcher-19445: You’re right, Rye, and it wasn’t my intention to get so worked up on this day. It unfortunately started last might and carried on today.
However: “What must be must be”!
Having said that, HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all (well most of you anyway)!
31 Dec 2012, 14:43 pm
In the year of Our Lord 2013.
“The Lord said unto cane…………………….”You are an ***-hole. and will rot in hell “.
cane responded………………………………………….”Good, I’d like to look Capo in the eye”.
No further conversation has taken place since……………………..thus far.
cane has his fingers crossed.
31 Dec 2012, 14:43 pm
@ryecatcher-19447:
Thanks for the wishes.
A fantastic new year to you and yours too.
And keep your good work up here on Keo.
