Hore set for hefty ban

New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.

Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.

The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.

Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

@wnbb-24448: I’m going to give you 5 minutes to go and read my post again.
I think you missed the part where I said, those of us who actually LIVE in SA and it’s reality on a daily basis (OF ALL RACES…..not just aryanbitchesandbastards, but bitchesandbastardos of other races as well……) have to pick up the pieces: emotionally, physically and economically.

We (bitchesandbastardos of all races) contribute on a daily basis (granted not all of us, but many of us), so remind me what it is that you and ET do? Apart from give cringeworthy ‘B Grade’ Braveheart type speeches on the interweb?

You fellas might as well be camping on the planet Pluto……

Sitting across the ocean screeching what should be is laughable. You don’t live here so feckoff. You chose to leave by your own choice now live with the consequences of no longer criticizing what goes down here and how it is handled.

In the farm workers strike, the DA at first openly sided with the farmers after arrogantly assuming that the disorganized farm workers’ strike would not last more than a few days. Once the strike spread, as the mine workers’ strike did, Helen Zille blamed COSATU for inciting violence, declared that only president Jacob Zuma could end the farm workers strike by increasing the minimum wage on the farms and repeatedly implored Zuma via Twitter to send in the army to crush the strike.

There is no reason why the white Western Cape farmers could not raise the wages of farm workers immediately – if they wanted to. In fact, Zille has known for a long time that the white farmers in the province are reluctant to pay even the existing minimum wage of R1500 per month. She is also aware of other abuses against farm workers – they are regularly transported like cattle on the backs of open trucks, and die in well-publicised accidents.

The DA, COSATU and ANC are all aware that Sikhula Sonke camped outside parliament three years ago in protest against a white farmer who forced workers to live in pigsties, and that CSAAWU is campaigning publicly against farmer Willie Dreyer from Leeuwenkuil farm in Agter-Paarl.

Dreyer allegedly evicted farm worker Patrick Philander, his wife and four children and laid false charges of attempted murder against him and another CSAAWU activist, Amos White, after they recruited other farm workers into the union.

And the internationally-publicised Human Rights Watch report into South Africa’s fruit and wine industries last year found farms to be “ripe with abuse” – with farm workers having their water and electricity disconnected, being harassed in the middle of the night by farmers’ guards and their dogs, being exposed to pesticides and being prevented from joining unions.

So ,Helen Zille and her DA-cohorts like Pedigree wanted the army to crush the farm strike.Sorry Pedigree and Helen, but that will only happen in your minds.

@wnbb-24457: Could you guide me to the post (the exact number would be appreciated) in which I wailed for the army to crush the seasonal farmworker strike?

I don’t use recreational drugs as a rule, but I’m guessing I was under the influence of something when I suggested that the army was a viable solution in this incident?

Then again, don’t waste your time….as that post does not exist.

Anyhow, moving on to an impromptu pop quiz.

Why does the DA enjoy such support from a predominantly non-white base in the Western Cape? Are they also Aryanbitchesabdbastards?

(You do realise the Aryans in the Cape are in no way/shape or form powerful enough on their own to give Helen the power base she currently enjoys)

I am curious as to what you call those who are not white but put the DA into power.

That’s what you get when you put your trust in the white devil. That should be the lesson for all those farmworkers in the WC .You are right, you Aryan devils can’t ascend to power on your own,so their only weapon is to use ANC or black fear to deceive the poor coloured masses. That is the problem with coloured people .They have been hoodwinked, over decades, that the ‘white way is the right way’.That is illustrated in the fact that the leadership of the DA is still predominantly white and male. They are nothing but a white party who plays on the fears (cunningly created by themselves)of the coloured masses in the WC.Fact

Things are good and ticking over this side of the pond, thanks. Hope 2013 is treating you well so far too.

@ufo-24471: Hi bud, you too! Very busy at work, but have a few trips (Brazil/Argentina and Trans-Mongolian railway) to potentially look forward to.

I must have missed your comment, apologies. I think the Stormers and the Sharks will do well again this year, simply because they have sufficient depth to negotiate at least the first half of the season. The Bulls will finish mid-table, and the Cheetahs and the Kings will struggle. However, I don’t think the latter will struggle as much as many predict. Many teams will field their second stringers against the Kings to ensure that their Tier 1 players remain fit and well conditioned.

Keep an eye out for Lappies Labuschagne and Paul Jordaan. I hope Arno Botha gets some adequate game time too. I wonder if Andries Coetzee has been recruited by one of the franchises?

By the way – I’ve done some research on Viv and watched the odd documentary (not Baptism of Fire, yet). And all I can say is that I wished I saw him in action live.

    How are you otherwise?

    that sounds awesome willie…

am i allowed to ask what you do…. sounds very interesting… don’t worry you don’t have to answer…

no worries bud… i gathered as much and there’s always another day…

yeah… sharks are my picks to go the whole way… they have an excellent sqaud and i’m a big lambie fan and expect him to blossom as a flyhalf this season with consitent 10 time…

obviously hoping the stormers do the bizniz…. but have said that more than anything else we need to find consistency this season… add to that our fit again players and a more attacking plan and we should do okay… but without being able to put together 80-minute games we will only flatter to deceive and frustrate… (again)

i won’t write the bulls off… i expect morne to come back firing on 15 cylinders and his kicking will keep the bulls in the hunt…

and yeah… agree about the kings.. solly is a damn astute coach no matter what anyone else says… so think they and the cheetahs will upset more than a few teams… but both will be ultimately ham-strung by …

yeah… watching arno assert himself with pierre playing is going to be an interesting development to watch… i hope both have great seasons…

lappies did well last season… and should grow on that hey…

i’m a big willie le roux fan… think he’s one of our more creative players (much in the mold of – but obviously not as good or talented – as michael dup…) will be interesting to see him playing with the cheetahs again… i think he makes thigs happen more than most… and with their talented back line… are definitely going to upset more than a few apple carts…

haven’t heard anything about andries… i’m sure katman and has will have that info though…

that’s cool willie… glad you found something on viv… for me he is the ultimate cricketer… if my life depended on it… viv will always be my man… he may not have had the silky skills or technique or stats of others (for various reasons as discussed before)… but no one comes close to him IMO in terms of sheer belligerent bloody-minded will-power…

otherwise all good here in the cape… (on a personal level – obviously not good whats happening out on the farms)

Now imagine I add the headlines of a topic, like farm-worker’s noble fight for a living wage, where I have recent personal experience of, right there in the area of conflict where at one stage 3 national roads were closed off more than once?
