Hore set for hefty ban

Hore set for hefty ban

New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.

Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.

The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.

Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

Armstrong part 2 dominates the 7am EST national news again.

The predicted crying episode was duly delivered, but in unconvincing fashion, when he talked about his 3 children’s involvement.

Three events brought him back down to earth :

    1. when 3 sponsors, including Nike and Anheuser Busch dropped him late 2012; he calls that a $75m day

2.. when Livestrong asked him to step down sometime later

    3. when he witnessed his son, Luke, defend him when he claimed to another that “my dad did not do that”

Shamefully, Bafana Bafana are ranked 15 places below Cape Verde on the FIFA rankings, so a draw would a good result for them.

can anyone give an update on the Lions score, am forced to watched the bore-a-thon soccer which will probably end in no goals again.
Maybe the must change the rules to the final whistle may only blow until someone actulally manages to get the little round ball in the back of that net thingy, but I guess playing for 5 days straight will be to much for them

An island, off the African West Coast of barely 600,000 people, playing away, cannot be beaten by the national home team, at altitude.
This in any respectable country will normally raise a million questions of those responsible for this poor showing by the home nation. But here barely a piggy squeal will be audible.
The biggest problem with that team (on-field squad,23) is that it has NO creativity and if you peruse that entire squad there is none to be seen.

Yet week after week I watch Everton perform valiantly enough to be in the EPL top 6, mostly.
Some of their creativity emanates from a heavily Cape-influenced player named Steven Pienaar, but he suddenly retired from international football as the captain of the national team.
One should seriously ask why players like Steve and Quin Fortune(Man. U.) and Bennie McC(Ajax and more) and others all with much Cape influence and with such brilliance retire from international football in the prime of their football careers

i had the pleasure of sailing with 2 x cape verde islanders in my misspent youth in the merchant navy.

one was a bosun and the other (his cousin) was the chief steward.

excellent blokes both – high integrity and no-nonsense approach to their jobs.

the bosun was in charge of a mainly zulu crew and they had the utmost respect for him.

    just trivia boys

    @David-26046:

The problem is far deeper than your shallow offer.

It is high time you stop pretending that you know about any S.African matter, outside possibly only the economy and money, in any real depth, because you don’t.
This explains why you repeatedly come up with limp, lame, apologetic excuses/explanations for many serious problematic situations
What can you educate anyone about S.A. non-racial and racial football wrt to bodies like the NPSL, SASL, SA Soccer Fed., NPL(?) and much more?
I am not even sure you know the racist original NFL history the way it should be understood especially the divisive mercenary role it played.
What can you say about one Dave Marais and his JHB council/s wrt taking playing fields away from township bodies for the set purpose of disrupting township football and forcing them to NFL games?

It depends who reads it, and you and your ‘gatgabbas’ morning show are poor examples.

If in the last day or so you cannot spell “garantee”(your rendition) plus two other simple(difficult for you) words then very little you read will ever make sense to you.

If I send you a journal article will it make sense to you?
