Hore set for hefty ban

Hore set for hefty ban

New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.

Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.

The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.

Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

    Top six………………………………..maybe.
We will be really hitting our straps in 2014.

Best NZ Team to be remain the Chiefs.
With Highlanders again punching above their weight.

Dave Rene and Jamie (the thug) Joseph, with good Seasons this year could soon be on the All Black coaching panel.

    Crusaders always there or thereabouts.

Blues……………………………….sorry Rangi, I think they will take some time. JK is a nice Guy, this will be his making or breaking as a Coach. Lets hope it’s the making.
As Buck said, “Coaching Japan and Italy is Coaching for Battles,………………………………….. Coaching in Super Rugby is Coaching a Campaign”.

Then again…………………………JK can only really improve things. Blues cannot do any worse surely.

If ol Snakey can continue his habit of scoring last minute tin-arrse trys and the young forwards discontinue their early season form from last year of going backwards…is that turbo reversing….and maintain the late season form that that helped them take the Crusaders scalp, along with Perenara coming off the injury list? and that speed machine you have at openside in Savea…yes…maybe a top six
Blues just need that pick me up called confidence…a trot of early season wins…from there…who knows?

    Exactly Rangi………………………….Who knows.

They say, when Auckland Rugby is strong, NZ will be fine.

I think NZ Teams will do well this year.

Perenara ………………………….how good do you have to be,
    to be an All Black.
NZ currently have more depth at 10 and 15, than I have ever seen.

Perenara….if he goes like last year, will have Ab stamped on his back.
Yes…time for Auckland Rugby to wake from its slumber for the good of Nz, that in itself was a good reason for the letting go of Patrick who seemed to have his caring eye fixed firmly on Apia.
The depth at ten throughout the Franchises is amazing….for sure. If the Blues can get that Baden Kerr up and going early, could add his name to quite a long list of very good first fives.
If Charles Piutau plays full back for the Blues theres another who can wreak havoc from the back….

you can blame it on the sensitive cape town keomedia and supporters.
they are happy to call other provinces players funny names but the minute you give one of their own a funny name, they ban it.

and in perhaps some of the most significant news for South Africa in decades…

Struggle heavyweight Mamphela Ramphele is preparing to enter politics and is expected to make an announcement about it soon.

She’s got my vote already… just show me where to put my x…!!

Time for all intelligent, honest, hard-working and positive South African’s of all colours, persuasions, religions, provinces, social and economic standing to get off our behinds and get behind Mamphela.

    good good stuff…!

    tell me why?
i’m a little ignorant (is that the right word?)
i mean i dont know enough about her to understand this supposed significance.

  • 27134.ufo: Reply to this comment

she is a heavyweight politically and her credibility can’t be questioned from any sides…

she is the widow/partner of steve biko, was the head of the world bank and chancellor of UCT among many other respected top positions…

she is a human being of absolute integrity and, I believe, non-racial in her views and beliefs, she is a person who does the right thing and will jack up the civil service and deliver services, housing, education and such to the deserving but neglected masses to offer dignity and a better quality of life which has been largely ignored by both parties until elections come along and everybody talks without delivering…

and she will tackle corruption and make South Africa an attractive option once again for investment…

she has the clout to offer relevant and effective opposition to the ANC… and the background to ensure the people are not ignored and the corporate and financial nous to steer the country in the correct direction business-wise.

of course that is an extremely brief and broad take on her… things are never that neat and simple and are always more complex… but she will be the first person since 1994 who is able to offer a credible, realistic alternative to the ANC who will be able to attract support from South Africans of all colours and backgrounds…

she is the type of person we’ve all been waiting/praying/hoping for…

@ufo-27134: Hi bud are you well? I haven’t been around lately – I’ve read some articles and made a post or two. I’ve been quite busy with my son’s varsity enrolment the past week. He’ll leave tomorrow (finally) on a more permanent basis to Stellenbosch. He attended 2 practices of the Varsity Cup U/20 squad during last week and was…… let’s just say extremely tired (putting it mildly).
Yesterday he played trials for the private res’ “first years’ tournament” and was more than just tired. I think he has never “worked” harder on a rugby field than the previous 4 days.

I agree with you 100% re dr M R: a highly intelligent lady who needs to get involved in politics ASAP !! I have the utmost respect for her !

ms ramphele is the kind of person who has no dirt on her… no matter how long and deep you dig…

she will certainly bring back a sense of dignity and statesmanship to south african politics than has diminished greatly with the retirement of the anc old-guard…

but of course i shouldn’t preempt anything… and must wait for her to make her announcement and tell us all what she intends to do…

    but very excited…

over the festive season several of us spoke about mamphela and several like her saying IF ONLY they got into active politics…

so this really is good news for us…
