Hore set for hefty ban
26 Nov 2012
New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.
Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.
The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.
Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

Happy Biff day everyone.
1 Feb 2013, 12:07 pm
Why must 2 wickets always fall so soon after the other?
1 Feb 2013, 12:07 pm

@gunther-27700:
Agree.
100 tests as captain for you country is not something to be scoffed at. I don’t think it will be eclipsed by another.
He is also just one short of the most victories as captain (47 vs 48 by Ponting). Odds are that he will have that record by the end of this series. Another record that will be very hard to eclipse in the future.
1 Feb 2013, 12:21 pm
This may just be another Kallis/Amla show yet again.
Hope so anyway.
Go boys.
1 Feb 2013, 12:32 pm
Ok. I’m over my little double sulk.
Kallis and Amla to charge forth.
1 Feb 2013, 12:44 pm
@nama1-27704:
Agreed.
Not a record we will see broken in the near future.
1 Feb 2013, 12:55 pm
I must say 100 Tests as captain is a truly remarkable achievement and hearty congratulations for Graeme are indeed in order.
Please excuse the ignorance but I’ve never known the background to his nickname and have been meaning to find out for some time now; could someone please help me?
Thanks.

Jeez……..I only got a small window today to read something interesting on Keo, and all I find here is fratboyz virtually s.uc.king Smith’s ****.
1 Feb 2013, 13:04 pm
Smith is an arrogant p.r.i.ck. He even said so himself in an article from “Die Burger”:
“Ek het nie altyd ’n mentor gehad wat my kon raad gee hoe om alles te hanteer nie en daarom het ek hierdie manier ontwikkel, wat as arrogant beskou kon word, om myself te beskerm”
poor excuse
1 Feb 2013, 13:08 pm
@TooMuchRugby-27709: Smith is a giant of the game. Get over it.
1 Feb 2013, 13:11 pm
@TooMuchRugby-27710:
says the plank behind the computer screen.
now fukkoff and go and use your window of time between odd jobs for something else poeslap.
1 Feb 2013, 13:14 pm
@gunther-27712:
Another arrogant p.ri.ck……………………..behind the screen.
Vokkof jouself………ma-naaier
1 Feb 2013, 13:15 pm
Well now you have s second opinion.
1 Feb 2013, 13:18 pm
@TooMuchRugby-27713:
please don’t bring your kraaifontein manners here.
I know a lifetime of sheltered employment on the railways and poor decsions has made you bitter but if you are desperate for attention go and look for it somewhere else.
1 Feb 2013, 13:25 pm
@gunther-27715:
Sigh……
You could’nt be more wrong if you tried, fratboy
1 Feb 2013, 13:26 pm
Smith backs up his arrogance in the middle.
Because of his awkward technique bowlers have no idea were to bowl to him.
To conventional batsmen, bowlers aim for the “corridor of uncertainty” line, but Smith works those balls to leg.
We should embrace the fact that his a Saffer.
1 Feb 2013, 13:26 pm
So Luyt is gone for 80.
1 Feb 2013, 13:26 pm
@stormer in a teacup-27714:
indeed that’s a no from me gareth
1 Feb 2013, 13:29 pm
@Jeraldjay-27717:
You forget that he has also failed dismally in the past. Both as batsmen and as captain.
1 Feb 2013, 13:32 pm
@TooMuchRugby-27720: That he has. But the manner in which he has stood up again after said failings…..amidst public scorn and hatred, is what makes him one of the special ones.
1 Feb 2013, 13:32 pm
@gunther-27712:
I’m curious why you always need to try to insult me personally. Did I perhaps sleep with your sister that I’m not aware of? Or did I grab the last chicken leg you were eyeing at the buffet?
1 Feb 2013, 13:33 pm
@TooMuchRugby-27720:
TMR, recent past and future is all that matters.
After Hansie and Shaun Pollock I think his done an excellent

@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-27721:
There’s a fine line between being brave or resilient and being arrogant and he has crossed that.
But hey, I just don’t like the man and I won’t judge you for liking him. Just thought I might help some people see the truth.
1 Feb 2013, 13:38 pm
this thread still going?
strange that all the saffas seem to continually congregate on the Hore
is that why so many saffer women marry australasians?
1 Feb 2013, 13:39 pm
@Jeraldjay-27717:
Actually, they have worked him out. Which is why he’s frequently caught behind or slips to the ball going across him. His shuffle to turn the ball to leg, also gets him LBW.
1 Feb 2013, 13:42 pm
@the curse-27725: we are celebrating our national Biff day …. so no party poopers poops, please respect our important days.
1 Feb 2013, 13:45 pm
@the curse-27725: No. Its because they’ve got fokkalll competition.
1 Feb 2013, 13:45 pm
@TooMuchRugby-27724: Must be honest, it’s a little arrogance IMHO, that is often the difference between good captains/players and great captains/players. Arrogance is often given a raw deal, all the true greats have had a splash of it.
I’m a fan of productive arrogance.
1 Feb 2013, 13:46 pm
@RL-27727: congrats to Graeme Smith, gutsy player and a fine record
wonder how much he got paid
1 Feb 2013, 13:47 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-27721:
Korrec.
@David-27726:
somebody better tell Biff that he’s been worked out .
He averaged 48 last year.
1 Feb 2013, 13:48 pm
@TooMuchRugby-27722: its Gunthers way..
you know once the “jokes” start that he’s deflecting from the point
1 Feb 2013, 13:49 pm
13 000 test runs Kallis….
I bow down.
1 Feb 2013, 13:49 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-27729:
All great competitors have that arrogance.
Its part of what sets them apart.
1 Feb 2013, 13:50 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-27729: A lot if people confuse self confidence with arrogance. Usually those with low self confidence themselves.
1 Feb 2013, 13:50 pm

1 Feb 2013, 13:50 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-27729: you guys should be kings of the world
Saffas have arrogance in bucketloads, its why most think of you should be number one and why some have concocted half truths (watch with one eye open)
or “theories” as to why this isnt happening
1 Feb 2013, 13:51 pm
see us kiwis, we KNOW we rule the rugby world
and it is thus
1 Feb 2013, 13:53 pm
@the curse-27738: are you not a convict?
1 Feb 2013, 13:54 pm
@gunther-27734: Exactly. It’s the diff between good and great.
@stormer in a teacup-27735: A plate of self belief always tastes better with a squirt of arrogance. As a combo….DEADLY.
1 Feb 2013, 13:54 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-27729:
It isn’t working IMO. He’s a **** captain and an fallible batsmen.
1 Feb 2013, 13:54 pm
@the curse-27732:
what is your point poep?
are you looking to return some serve or are you on the night shift again?
I thought we were buddies.
1 Feb 2013, 13:55 pm
And Pops proves my point for me.
1 Feb 2013, 13:56 pm
@stormer in a teacup-27735:
Spoken like a true arrogant
1 Feb 2013, 13:57 pm
@the curse-27737: Huge difference between arrogance (healthy in small doses) and totalfuckinginsanity (deadly in small doses)……..
I think you speak of the illnesses of the mind that seem to have settled within the psyches of some round these here parts…. Bakkies and his connexions: ‘We are undisputed SHOULD BE champions of the world’ brigade’
1 Feb 2013, 13:57 pm
Poopy if it is thus what is it?
1 Feb 2013, 13:58 pm
@the curse-27738: That’s not arrogance Pops….it’s just fact
(Bakkies won’t like my comment, but a fact it is….)
1 Feb 2013, 13:58 pm
@RL-27739: nope, I’m just stealing their money
@gunther-27742: neither to be honest… buddies? us? maybe, once the Blues beat you guys though Im sure the jokes will be swift
1 Feb 2013, 13:59 pm
@gunther-27742: Pops had taken to both serving and returning. He knows where he stands that way.
1 Feb 2013, 13:59 pm
@David-27726:
He has over 8000 test runs at an average of 50.
He scores most of his runs in the second innings when the wicket has deteriorated.
No, imo, they haven’t worked him our yet.
