Hore set for hefty ban

New Zealand hooker Andrew Hore has been cited for an off-the-ball incident which subsequently hospitalised Wales lock Bradley Davies.

Hore hit Davies off the ball during the initial stages of last Saturday’s Test in Cardiff. The incident was missed by matchday officials, but Hore has now been cited and looks likely to receive a lengthy suspension.

The time and date of the hearing, before the IRB’s appointed independent judicial officer, have yet to be fixed.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen expects the hooker to be sidelined for some time. Hansen did not say as much, but has already called for a replacement ahead of the coming Test against England.

Dane Coles is expected to start at Twickenham.

    SBW had a good fight.

    Botha lost 4/5 of his last fights.

    Today’s fight can not be really counted.

    It’s like stopping a rugby game after 67 minutes when your team is front. :) laughable….

    Or a cricket game after 42 overs….. sorry….. we decided we’re going home…. :) ridiculous …..

    @shooter-28458: you’ll have to ask those who were in charge of the fight, we spectators are just as shocked as you are that the two rounds werent completed..

    but its a laugh thinking that all us kiwis had a hand in the fight being shortened…

    but then, anytime a kiw beats a SA, we all know it wasnt fair and square, there had to be some subterfuge, because SAs NEVER lose to kiwis, right?

    if it was mayweather and pacman….. and the fight got stopped… the guy who lost would’ve had the most reason to complain…. because………… he FB was behind… he felt he had a chance still…….

    i was out for the afternoon, heard the result, saw the highlights and am watching the rerun now…

    the commentators have said 4 times already ” this bout, scheduled for 12 rounds….” etc… at about the 9th round now…

    I honestly couldnt care less who won this fight, Id much prefer SBWs concentrated on playing rugby, where he could be a global superstar..

    That was the same game they’ve kicked off on Habana where he caught the ball and ran through to score

    They didn’t kick on him again in that game
