Beale breaks Welsh hearts
1 Dec 2012
Kurtley Beale scored a last-minute try to give the Wallabies a 14-12 win against Wales in Cardiff.
With 30 seconds to go, Australia sent the ball wide to replacement Dave Dennis, who passed back inside to Beale. The fullback had a smile on his face as he dived over in the right-hand corner.
The match was then delayed for five minutes as Wales fullback Leigh Halfpenny, who had hurt himself while tackling Dennis, was placed on a stretcher and carried off the field.
Wallabies captain Nathan Sharpe lined up the conversion, which didn’t go down well with the home crowd, who perhaps felt it was disrespectful after what had happened to Halfpenny. Sharpe’s effort fell short, but he won’t care. This victory was a fantastic way for the second rower to end his rugby career.
Wales have now lost seven consecutive Tests since beating the Barbarians in a match that the WRU bizarrely gave Test status.

Funny thing is this game means jack-**** (for the World Cup) if Wales draw Argentina (who will drop to 9th if Wales wins) in their pool.
So even if they win their is a 25% chance they’ll be facing the team they replace in the top-8 anyway.
