Samurai scored three quick tries in the decider and while the Cheetahs crossed the line just before half-time, the privately owned franchise scored another two tries in the second half to seal the win.

The All Stars beat the Sharks 29-5 in the third-place play-off.

    Tough call that. Remembering that Tyler Fisher scores tries at about the same rate (U-19 competition Fisher had 13, Geduld 12 tries) and has a better physical make-up. I can’t see how you don’t go with Fisher. Will be a tough call I’m sure.

    Hey Hendy
    Did you watch sky last night about the RWC 2011?
    It was called “The weight of a Nation”
    Telling you it was an eye opener on what the coaches and players went through.

    @Hurricane-5:

    Yeah I watched it. Actually… the girlfriend watched it while I was reading and looked up every now and then.

    I don’t think I’ll ever be able to feel good about what happened in 2011 after what that son-of-a-b1@tch Bryce Lawrence did. Still feels like we were robbed.

    But yep, definitely an eye-opener on the pressures of international rugby.

    Bit harsh on Robbie Deans, who surely knew that they were planning on re-appointing Henry and co. They would have been seeing it from a different angle as the ones whose jobs were on the line, but I’d say 90% of us knew they were going to get another chance.

    @hendrikp-6:
    Yeah, Deans was not going to get it, i live in Christchurch and believe me down here it was terrible. Bill boards on Deans for AB coach etc and when it didnt happen there was outrage. :-)
    Typical cantabs, they all want it there way.
    But the programme showed how much the problems and how it affected them during the campaign, like McCaw not training for a over a month due to broken foot, Carter etc. We all knew it had some sort of effect but not until you hear it from coaches and players does it actually sink in.

    “Living Ball”???

    Who thought up that name?

    @Hurricane-5: I hope the role of Joubert in “winning” the Cup was given a thorough analysis, or was it conveniently swept under the carpet?

    I bet I can guess which.
