Sharks in better shape
24 Jan 2013
Sharks coach John Plumtree is satisfied with the depth in his squad this season.
The Durban-based franchise began last year’s tournament without injured players like Beast Mtawarira, Jean Deysel, Willem Alberts and Ryan Kankowski, and lost their opening two matches, against the Bulls and Stormers.
Plumtree, though, is confident they will avoid a repeat in 2013. This time round, only two players are injured, Bismarck du Plessis (who is expected to be back in April) and prop Dale Chadwick, who is out for four to six weeks with a stress fracture in his foot.
‘If you look at our squad, there is good depth in the backs, good depth in the locks now, and good depth among the loose forwards,’ Plumtree told the Sharks website. ‘There is really good competition for places and with the two trial games coming up [against the Leopards in Pietermaritzburg on 8 February and the Pumas in Nelspruit a week later] we’ll get the opportunity to see how everyone performs.’
While the Sharks no longer have the services of Steven Sykes (Kings), Ross Skeate (Agen) and Frederic Michalak (Toulon), they have made two good acquisitions in former Lions duo Butch James and Franco van der Merwe (the latter on loan), which will add depth in key positions.
‘Butch and Franco have done well,’ said Plumtree. ‘Franco is really enjoying it here. Although it is different to what he is used to, he looks to have settled in nicely. Butch knows our system, knows how we operate here and it’s really just coming back to family for him. He’s been great.’

I think that Franco van der Merwe is his best signing
24 Jan 2013, 09:55 am
To be honest, Michalak was there big moment player last season, I would bet that they would never have made it to the final without him.
They will truggle without him.
24 Jan 2013, 10:47 am
Disagree re Fred. Lambie the go to man at 10 with Butch to provide comfort in squad depth in that position. Sharks to win conference and Sharks to win tournament.
24 Jan 2013, 10:57 am
@keo-3:
Keo no news from Loftus?
You are supposed to be a Bulls supporter for goodness sake.
24 Jan 2013, 10:59 am
@keo-3: I think Fred made a big impact, but as you say – between Lambie and Butch you have a quality player plying his trade (who will also be under the mentorship of one of the best attacking FH’s of all time – look what he did for Jantjies’ game…) and an old head who is cool under pressure and will both impart knowledge and provide cover.
I think the Sharks are in a very good space…

@gunther-4: Far too busy buttering up the guppie boggers who left en-masse.
Nikita is history, so a concerted effort is being made to bring Puma and co back into the fold?
I’m also keen for some Bulls news to be honest (andyouknowhowfuckingsadthatis?)

@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-6:
It’s almost like Keo is persona non grata at Loftus.
So Nikita fell on her sword?
As long as it didn’t puncture her implants.
24 Jan 2013, 11:21 am
Sharks will give good account of themselves having decent squad on average.
But no real game breakers except maybe JPP.
24 Jan 2013, 11:47 am
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-6: Nikita is history???Too much of a maverick?.Sad
24 Jan 2013, 11:52 am
@gunther-7:
Your comments are going to deflate her a bit.
24 Jan 2013, 11:57 am
Good squad.
My concerns would be a quality back-up loosehead. It’s a pity the Sharks couldn’t do a loan deal with JC Janse van Rensburg.
They have plenty quality loosies but no recognised fetcher.
They also really need to improve the lineouts. Hopefully with Franco there that will be addressed.
24 Jan 2013, 11:59 am
@Helderberg-8:
No gamebreakers? So you don’t consider Frans Steyn, Paul Jordaan or Lambie as gamebreakers then I assume?
24 Jan 2013, 12:04 pm
Sharks have plenty of ‘game-breakers’.
I’d put down Bismarck du Plessis & Keegan Daniel among those. They can turn a game on its head.
In the backs you’ve got Patrick Lambie, Frans Steyn & JP Pietersen. Paul Jordaan also freakish line-breaker on his day, who is coming along nicely.
I’d be most concerned about their consistency. They drop way too many games that they should be winning.
But this will be a very good year for SA sides IMO.

@hendrikp-13:
Except for the Kings, they’re gonna suck.
A couple of 100 point defeats wouldn’t surprise.

She’ll bounce back.
24 Jan 2013, 12:08 pm
@pokkel-12:
I think the sharks locks played above themselves last season. Some really powerful performances by them and the frontrowers in 3 (inparticular games- bulls,stormers,reds)
And Freddie M saved their arses as well.

@gunther-7: I’m not sure if she’s still round here. Someone said yesterday that Tank and Keo are on their own mission now. Keo took his blog back from HSM, and all the other fellas (Nikita 2 I presume?) will be remaining with HSM. http://www.sarugbymag.co.za or something? Transie posted this.
So Keo and Tank are now tag teaming, and the rest will be with the sarugbymag blog? Someone could possibly answer?
@ryecatcher-9: Morning Rye
See my message to Gunther. Not 100% sure, just repeating what someone said yesterday re: the website.
24 Jan 2013, 12:11 pm
@hendrikp-13:
keegan cullen wouldn’t make the match 15 if I was coach.
Okay player who does a bit of this and a bit of that. doubt he’ll damage the top sides.

I’m trying to erase that mental snapshot.

24 Jan 2013, 12:39 pm
@gunther-4: Actually the Bulls situation doesn’t look all that good. Lots of injury concerns:
Brenden Nel – SuperSport
Pretoria – Vodacom Bulls lock Wilhelm Steenkamp will miss the opening weeks of the 2013 Super Rugby season due to a shoulder injury, it was announced on Tuesday.
According to the supersport.com website, Steenkamp will see a specialist on an AC tear and will be out of action for between four and six weeks.
According to Bulls team doctor Org Strauss, a number of players are suffering from injuries that could prevent them from playing in the side’s first friendly of the season, against the Lions on February 2, at the Orlando Stadium.
Zane Kirchner (back, two weeks), Dewald Potgieter (back, two weeks) and Werner Kruger (back spasm, two weeks) will be in the swimming pool instead of the training pitch for the next two weeks.
This follows the injury to Dean Greyling last week, with a stress fracture to his foot ruling out the prop for at least four more weeks. To add to their woes, prop Frik Kirsten is suffering from migraine and will only see limited action this week, while wider training group prop Basil Short injured his AC joint and will be out for two weeks.
Springbok touring squad member Arno Botha has another week to go before he can take to the field following a groin operation, but national team-mates Chiliboy Ralepelle and Jacques Potgieter are back in training.
Former Junior Boks Tony Jantjies (groin, two weeks) and Wiaan Liebenberg (hamstring, one week) will return to squad soon.
Rudy Paige (ankle), Grant Hattingh (ankle), Bjorn Basson (ankle) and Akona Ndungane (groin) will be fit to train on Thursday.

Keo’s kiss of death to the Sharks

Don’t try and worm your way into underdog status.
It’s been the Stormers year for the last 4 years.
24 Jan 2013, 12:53 pm
This year is definitely going to be our year.
Honest.
24 Jan 2013, 13:00 pm
@gunther-31: It’s the Sardines who have told us for the last year we’re the underdogs.
24 Jan 2013, 13:00 pm
@stormersboy-32: Our chances will be better if Grant doesn’t leapfrog Jantjies and JdV doesn’t start the important games at 12…. The latter is a fantasy.
24 Jan 2013, 13:04 pm
@mikeybrass-34: Ja, it was said tongue in cheek but still, we’ve got as good a shot as each of the past 3 or 4 years. Better in some ways as you say, with the Lions guys. I’d start with Elton, Jean is a definite starter whichever way we prefer it but i guess we’ll have to see how they do over the long season, we have a tough start, but a playoff is likely and we’ll go from there I guess.
24 Jan 2013, 13:05 pm
if sharks were to lose beast or jannie they would be in big trouble. Chadwick is out injured already and so they are left with Bell and Herbst as bench cover. Stormers seem to have better depth in all areas apart from their hooker crisis although looks like they will get that bezeidehoet chap with tian back soon and deon f is rarely injured.
with the basis being that both teams should win all their home games and away derbies against all s.a teams bar each other then it comes down to the tour. (Bulls i expect to finish outside the top 6 this year) Here the stormers have a much easier time than the Sharks and its why i predict that they will top the conference for a home semi. However both teams should be right up there and if the sharks have consistency with bonus points then they could top the table even with a poorer win ratio. Could easily be a Stormers Sharks semi, Home ground to be decided with either Highlanders or crusaders traveling to s.a for the final. Kings and cheetahs will make it hard for the competitive kiwi teams to top the table so thats why i have them traveling south. Aus confrence will be interesting really could go three ways but no real trophy contenders with injuries bound to take their toll. if i had to bet though id go for the Reds.
24 Jan 2013, 13:06 pm
@Brigadier Van Zyl-18:
You do know he was SA super player of the year last year.
24 Jan 2013, 13:08 pm
@Dawn-28:
Keo actually started to pick them right last years S15.
He picked the Sharks over the Stormers and the Reds in the Quarters and Semis and then picked the Chiefs for a big win over Sharks in the Final.
As long as its not HG shouting the odds, Sharks will avoid the curse.
24 Jan 2013, 13:11 pm
@stormersboy-35: As much as I used to like JdV, fluid backline movement comes to a screeching halt with him at 12
24 Jan 2013, 13:11 pm
@mikeybrass-39: Much like a “Mowbreeyyyy – KaapstaD” minibus along Claremont main road.
24 Jan 2013, 13:15 pm
@stormersboy-32:
Can I get an amen?
24 Jan 2013, 13:20 pm
@gunther-41: Amen Brutha
24 Jan 2013, 13:24 pm
@John Galt-38: Like that’s ever going to happen.
24 Jan 2013, 13:54 pm
Two first class teams could easily be made out of the mountain of talent we have. The challenge for positions will be intense.
24 Jan 2013, 13:56 pm
@rvanaardt-36:
Did you not read the article on the young signings?
24 Jan 2013, 14:07 pm
@Predawn-45:
yes i did. good news for Sharks but props take a long time to develop. Plum would do well to try and buy a versatile prop like Cilliers as cover. I know that ship sailed but someone in the same elk. better now than later and ending up with a frans steyn situation and not being able to play come play off time.
some great young talent at the Sharks though, very interested to see how they develop.
24 Jan 2013, 14:10 pm
@rvanaardt-46:
Yes and what’s more is that most of the okes are over a hundered kaygees and tall. The Sharks have realised that size still does make the difference in rugby union.
No Aplons for us thanks.
24 Jan 2013, 14:15 pm
@gunther-25: Who said anything about quarantine? I’m talking euthafuckingnasia. For ET it would in fact be kindest.
@WP-Forever-26: Will there be a ‘collection’ during this service?
@WP-Forever-29: Mormonhifives all round. Defo.
@Predawn-47: Your waffling would be far more credible if you didn’t have an 8th man who was lifted by the Argie maul and carried along on their backs for about 7 metres…….
24 Jan 2013, 14:34 pm
@Predawn-47:
a lot of the time young rugby players excel at junior level because of their size and then fade when they play big time because of their lack of skill or Game reading. A lot of those signings could easily be exposed in their later careers. That said size does make up for lack of skill just as Skill makes up for lack of size. K.D and Aplon are prime examples.

@Predawn-51: “no aplon” for you guppys but you have jordaan @ 1.80m playing 13…midget by any standards
24 Jan 2013, 14:49 pm
@Predawn-51: He took a piggy back ride – without paying……
Your size argument comes to nought.

24 Jan 2013, 14:52 pm

Duane was never scooped up like that…….

The Shark “midget” number 8 has more skillset and speed then that bumbling overhyped donkey!!
Ive read Kiwi Bloggers here say if Daniel were playing in NZ he would be contender for an AB starting sport, Duane would most likely be kick-starting tractors if he lived there.

24 Jan 2013, 17:22 pm

It’s lovely to have a true 8 in the Bok pack after years of Spies
Daniels, pffffttt. Alberts more skilled than Duane? Only in wet dreams. Kankowski is the only real challenger to Kind Duane.
24 Jan 2013, 17:47 pm
@mikeybrass-80:
Kanko is good from the bench, and I suspect Britney would be too as the hard work has been done by a real loosie already
Alberts and Vermeulen should both play

@Predawn-51:
> Our 8th man was carried by the Argentinian maul
Yes, but Lobbe is an yster
I would give ET’s third nut to have Lobbe play no 8 for the Boks
24 Jan 2013, 18:02 pm
Lets just say Vermeulen had to move to Durban (not that Plum is a fan of ultra slow moving 8s anyway) but lets just say…….I wonder if you lot will still be leaving crease marks from the wet spots on his SA Rugby mag poster !!!!
24 Jan 2013, 18:09 pm
But anyway the super rugby road in long, here are my predicted doctors notes
- Vermuelen
- Bekker
- Goosen
- Conrad Hoffman
- Burger
- Smith
- Brussow
- Zane Kirchner (fuckthatwas just a dream)
24 Jan 2013, 18:15 pm
@pokkel-12: Yes Lambie overrated, Frans Steyn needs to lose 15 kg – Jordaan – must admit maybe
24 Jan 2013, 18:17 pm
@mikeybrass-80: maybe kakowski hehe
24 Jan 2013, 18:17 pm
@Rockn Rolla-58: But Duane doesn’t live in NZ, neither does the K-Dog. So that fantasy is out of the equation. Duane is in. K-Dog ain’t. The end.
(Even guppies couuld see Duane’s worth on the EOYT….. in certain conditions he rocks it ike few others. K-Dog is a super rugby ceiling fella, like Meisie. Nothing wrong with that….
And another correction
Duane is the main oke on the Sports Illustrated’s cover as well. The centre of all focus and attention.
Anyways, neither here nor there….Arno Botha will take control soon.
24 Jan 2013, 18:33 pm
@victoriabok-81: Agreed with Kanko, though please if there is a god any god or gods don’t let Spies near a Bok jrsey again.
24 Jan 2013, 18:37 pm
@Rockn Rolla-84:
No it should be this sequence
- Bekker
- Smit
- Goosen (It seems we have found the new Andre Pretorius)
- Brussouw
- Burger
- Potgieter(Dewald unfortunately not Malkop “pleister?”)
24 Jan 2013, 18:40 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-87:
Yes, I’ve always liked Duane, he plays hard, does the grunt work and do the hard yards
Arno is the future, I wish the Bulls could sell Ken-the Gym edition, to the Kings
We need to get Arno gametime and Britney is preventing it
24 Jan 2013, 18:51 pm
@victoriabok-90: Oh boy you are spot on here. I so hoped Britney would take an overseas offer…. (not because I wish him harm….but because he has honestly kept more talented and more deserving players out of the Bok jersey for fartoofuckinglong already.)
CJ Stander was a victim of the Britney obsession up north.
I praytoeveryrugbygodpreparedtolisten that Arno Botha is not the next victim. But when the Bulls made thesugarplumtwinkerbell captain again…and signed her for another 3 years – eish man
Where does that leave Arno? The kid is an 8, and that is where he needs to play – klaar.
(Spies has a helluva lot of convincing to do before anyone will buy into his hype again – ever)

25 Jan 2013, 08:54 am
Vermeulen played brilliantly for the Boks…all bias aside.
25 Jan 2013, 10:12 am
“two good acquisitions in former Lions duo Butch James and Franco van der Merwe”…
Indeed 2 excellent additions to the Dynamite…
Butch is back home where he should be… An S15 title in his final year will go nicely with his CC and WC winning medals….
If Franco plays as well this year as he has against his new team last year then he is set as a Kings Park favourite…
Playing well for the Sharks could spur him on, right into a starting spot in Green and Gold…
But first… The Super Rugby Trophy 2013.
It is rightfully ours…
BOOM!
25 Jan 2013, 10:25 am
Yes the Sharks have such impressive depth that Marcell Coetzee and Tim Whitehead will be sitting bench.
25 Jan 2013, 10:32 am
@Heavens Game-95: Self-entitlement is a dangerous disease. Be careful.
25 Jan 2013, 10:44 am
@Sasuke-96: Wrecking Ball Coetzee won’t be sitting bench…
If anyone will be benching out of the Sharks peerless depth in classy loosies, it could be Alberts…
Keegan Daniel, Coetzee and Kanko are an excellent combo…
Alberts will probably come on for Coetzee in the 2nd half for many games.
Sharks loosies will also interchange positions depending on game situation…
25 Jan 2013, 10:48 am
@Sasuke-97: You mean sense of entitlement?
Not a disease sonny…
Rather its healthy confidence…
Confidence that the SA Team that plays far and away the best rugby – Total Rugby – The Sharks will get what they deserve if they play to potential…
The Super Rugby Championship Trophy 2013… Nothing Less.
Best Pack
Best Backs
Best Coach
Best Jersey…
25 Jan 2013, 10:53 am
@Heavens Game-98: Yes that could also work. I would rather have Alberts start with Coetzee coming on second half.
@Heavens Game-99: lol Yes play to potential but no team deserves anything, you play for what you deserve and the Stormers deserve respect for dominating the Log the past two seasons.
25 Jan 2013, 10:55 am
@Heavens Game-99: Best Jersey Bwhahahahahahahaha
25 Jan 2013, 10:56 am
@Sasuke-97: He’s gone through a Makro sized carton of tissues already…… doing the ‘self entitlement/self help’ thing as he fantasises about his guppies tournie winning season ahead….
Oh dear.
25 Jan 2013, 10:59 am
@Sasuke-100: Why would you rather have Alberts start… Because he is “bigger”?
Stormers “dominated the log”? Lol. Yet they couldnt make the final last year, playing at their “impregnable fortress” against a team that literally had circumnavigated the globe the week before, playing a wing at centre against the vaunted Stormer Bok midfield…
Looks like the Stormers were impregnated… By Shark donors…
And so it is “nothing new under the sun”… and under the Mountain too…
25 Jan 2013, 11:03 am
@Sasuke-101: You know its true… Certainly more Sharks jerseys were sold last year than jerseys for any other team in Super Rugby…
People look good in the United Colours of Black and White…
You know its true.

@Heavens Game-103: Will make more of an impact early on in the game. Coetzee is too similar to kanko and daniels, there will be no balance in the backrow. Daniels, Alberts and Kanko is a well balanced combo. Coetzee will be a handful when coming on in the 2nd half.
Which Sharks are going to show up this year? Strong start, weak finish or weak start, strong finish.

@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-102: Whats a “Makro sized carton of tissues”…
Verry verry Beeg?
Yes…
Like as beeg as a beeg sized middle leg for a beeg supporter of the beegest team in Super Rugby…
Sharks
Forever…
BOOM!
Yes… you are right.
Makro sized then…
25 Jan 2013, 11:10 am
@Sasuke-105: They don’t have one player capable of forcing turnovers in that setup….it should be a slight worry for them. Along with their lineout. A soooper doooper backline is only good when they have the ball.
Very keen to see how they go in these departments while Bissie is out.
(Then again, Mallet has also installed the guppies as defo winners and faves…… so I hope they have done some off season mental work. If they can’t handle the fave tag – it’s going to be a ong season)
25 Jan 2013, 11:11 am
@Sasuke-105: Actually no… Alberts makes an impact later on… Think of his first appearances in the Bok jersey…
Rubbish, Coetzee is nothing like Daniel and Kanko…
Farkenell…
Coetzee is a handful from the start… Black and White Kryptonite…
25 Jan 2013, 11:11 am
@Heavens Game-104: Who would know for certain? If only the fans show up at Kings park then we can see the jerseys.

But it won us a CC final…… click click?
25 Jan 2013, 11:24 am
Cant get what is wrong with a lineout comprised of:
Bresler
Kanko
Franco
Marais
Du Toit
And a cameo or 2 from Alberts and even Keegan Cullen Daniel…
Nothing farken wrong… Burden will have been working hard on his throwing guaranteed, Cooper good and Hadebe is probably more accurate than most 2s in the country…
But yes… Keep em cliches and crowd “wisdom” going… Tis great…
For the Bwaaaaaaahaaaahaaas later

Remove your false teeth. You are spitting.
25 Jan 2013, 11:31 am
@Heavens Game-118: Deon Fourie dined out on guppie ball like a kid with unlimited spend in a candy store….
Tell me how you fellas dealt with this? And did the manner in which you dealt with this contribute to the final result?
Your lineout was incredible yes?
Yes/No/Not sure?
Or are you going to blame the travel factor for your CC final loss? 17km’s is a killer for guppies, especially when their driving gloves and socks are faulty….

@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-120: Yes… the legend of Deon Fourie…
Once the “2nd best hooker in SA”…
Now just awesome everywhere…
Chuckles
And the legend of CC 2012… The one the Sharks lost… lost for nothing more than being overconfident…
Yet, despite their lethargy, their rank sh.yte play on the day, they still could have pulled it back in the dying seconds…
They just didn’t want it enough last year… They will have it this year though, along with the S15 Trophy proper… Not some fictional “Conference Title” holding…
And so it will come to pass…
BOOM!

“The players have really enjoyed having Carlos here,” Plumtree admits. “I’d like him here a little longer – he’s not here for the whole tournament –he has family back in Joburg. But he will help us through the course of the season, he’ll see how we go and he’ll come down periodically. He will be good for not only our flyhalves but also our backs, he’ll also be working on our kicking game. But really, he’s just touched the surface of what I want from him.”
Springbok defence coach John McFarland has also spent a few sessions with The Sharks and by all accounts, his contribution has been invaluable. “He has had a lot of experience coaching at a top level for a long time, he’s a specialist in defence and we wanted to pick his brains, to make use of his knowledge this week. It’s a good change for the boys with some fresh ideas.” Utilising external personnel has always been embraced by The Sharks coaching staff, mindful of the fact that there is a lot of intellectual capacity in South Africa. It also works in the Springboks favour.
“It’s important that we adopt the philosophy of sharing information from the Springbok management to us which will also give John a better idea of our players by working with us. We’re able to open up the working relationship with the Springbok coaches, starting with him.”
25 Jan 2013, 12:04 pm
“It’s a very good setup here, the structures are good, the players look like they have a lot of fun, but in spite of that, they are working really hard, they’re really professional and they are disciplined about their rugby. The Sharks are a great bunch of guys, I’m enjoying training and playing with them and really looking forward to the first game, I can’t wait to play with guys who I’ve been playing against for the past couple of years.”
Franco Van Der Merwe
25 Jan 2013, 12:07 pm
Carlos Spencer said he was thrilled to be in Durban with The Sharks and looked forward to working with the team.
“I’m really looking forward to it; Plum [John Plumtree] invited me to come here and spend a couple of weeks with The Sharks, obviously to have a look at Pat Lambie and a few of the other boys. I’m really happy to be here.
“The Sharks have always been a very competitive side, they’ve always been up there amongst the top teams, be it Currie Cup or Super Rugby. They’ve always had a very dominant forward pack and backed that up with some pretty skilful backs. They are always challenging for a top four spot and finals, they’re an exciting team to watch.
“They play a good brand of rugby, one I enjoy as well as, being an attacking player.
“They came close last year and hopefully they can do it this year, I’m looking forward to it, to see how they go this year.”
Carlos Spencer… Sharks skills and assistant coach elect… He will be there to stay.
Once a Shark, always a Shark.

513.The Sharks rugby pedigree stole my password:
28 Jul 2012, 15:53 pm Where is that paragon of stupidity, HG? Scared as hell that my team will destroy his later?
This, after Chiefs beat Saders in one S15 Semi… and Sharks about to impregnate Stormers in their “impregnable” Fortress Newlands…
Eggbukkake…
25 Jan 2013, 12:23 pm
@Heavens Game-130: yes, once a shark always a shark this is true.
so glad to have butch back in the fold again too, he may no longer be a test player but i think butchie will have plenty of influence in the s15 this year.
hahaha, stormers have f(l)eck-i-should-have-put-the-ball-down and we have king carlos
25 Jan 2013, 12:24 pm
@Heavens Game-132:
de jongh danced his stupid dance after the cc but i didnt see him dancing when JPP jogged past him in the s15 semi
25 Jan 2013, 12:26 pm
@The Rangerman-133:
Fleck the backline maestro attack guru…
I can imagine his first one on one with poor Elton:
1. Never ever pass the ball when we have it
2. Unless to JdV
3. Always stand 19m behind the advantage line.
4. Forget about tries…
25 Jan 2013, 12:29 pm
@The Rangerman-134: JPP, a mere wing, not only jogged past him, but Bok Cappie De Villiers too… A Black and White knife through Blue and White butter…
Yes, the much vaunted Bok midfield no less…

Just whimpers…

@Heavens Game-141: the conference cup holders, winners of the wall and all trophy, brought low in their own house.
priceless.
25 Jan 2013, 12:36 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-140: And so it did… The first real trophy in more than a decade…
Sharks are generous… Share and share alike… 3 CC finals in 3 years… One for us, one for the Lions and then one for the Stormers… Eeny meeny miny mo… This year ours then maybe next year we deal it to Bulls then Cheetahs…
The trophy may change hands, but there is always one constant… The Black and White in the Final…
Now where’s the nearest Rottie to shove a nice stick of dynamite into…
For a little…
BOOM!

I don’t pout. I leave that to the professionals.
Bubblebubbletoilandtrouble…..@The Rangerman-145: It worked for us last time…… but I have learnt….”Guppies DEFO the pre season faves, and worthy of all the adoration”. I would bow down, if I hadn’t tweaked by back in training.

@The Rangerman-149: Do I get a mormon^5? Or an AMEN? Go and fetch S_L and Puma back from the dark side? It would be terrible to live through the annual guppie highs and lows and lows and lows and lows and lows; without their objective voices and opinions.
