Star scrummie returns for Canes

TJ Perenara will make his comeback from injury in the Hurricanes’ pre-season hit-out against the Crusaders on Saturday.
Perenara was in fantastic form in 2012 before he sustained a season-ending ankle injury. According to the Hurricanes’ management team, Perenara has made a full recovery and will play from the bench this weekend.
Coach Mark Hammett will ease back his All Blacks players over the course of the next two weeks. The only Test star who will feature this Saturday is hooker Dane Coles.
Samisoni Fisilau (hamstring), Jack Lam (knee), Alapati Leiua (hamstring), Motu Matu’u (pectoral), Ardie Savea (toe), and Brad Shields (knee) are unavailable due to injury.

Great news for the Canes.
TJ is a different animal altogether from any other NZ half back.

He will be our starting AB half back within a year. Has it all. Apart from Smith crisp pass he offers little else. That said I have been known to be wrong hahaha

Can’t say hes the best half in Nz, pretty close though but do think if the Canes go well this year a lot of it will be because of him…..

First time since Marshall that NZ have better and more depth at 9 than us.
