Sharks lash lousy Leopards
8 Feb 2013
The Sharks shook off the rust with a 71-8 pre-season win against the Leopards in Pietermaritzburg on Friday night.
John Plumtree’s men led 31-3 at the break after tries to flyhalf Pat Lambie, flanker Jacques Botes, right wing Odwa Ndungane, No 8 Tera Mtembu and left wing Lwazi Mvovo. The visitors’ points came from the boot of flyhalf Johnny Welthagen.
The Sharks continued to dominate after the break with Mvovo and Botes each getting a second, and flanker Jean Deysel, captain Frans Steyn and loosehead prop Allan Dell also crossing the whitewash.
The Leopards finally scored a try through replacement Elardus Venter, but the Sharks had the final say when Mtembu scored his second of the night just before full-time.
Lambie slotted five conversions for the Sharks and replacment Meyer Bosman three.

@goyougoodthing2-147: embarrassed about what?
9 Feb 2013, 15:42 pm
@Transformation-151: That you don’t deserve to be in the competition because you never earned it and are not good enough. That Cheeky lied to get in and has not stuck to his promise of transformation, that it is political and not sport that wins here.

9 Feb 2013, 15:59 pm
TRY TIME]
9 Feb 2013, 16:03 pm
Kolisi in for his 2nd from a good drive by the forwards.
9 Feb 2013, 16:04 pm
70% Possession to a team without half of their players… and 6 tries… solid defence I see, Crusaders are going to roast the Kings on an open fire and have their way with their wenches before halftime.
9 Feb 2013, 16:07 pm
A Lions C team moering the harlot queens – wait till they face Super rugby A teams. 100 point hidings everyweek.
9 Feb 2013, 16:09 pm
Schreuder in at FH and nearly scored after a lovely step of his left foot.
9 Feb 2013, 16:11 pm
Hat trick for Kolisi.
43 zip with the kick to come.

@nama1-168:
According to Skopskiet he is a better no 10 then Jantjes so he should be very good
9 Feb 2013, 16:12 pm
@nama1-169:
Groom is making a huge difference at no 9.
9 Feb 2013, 16:15 pm
@nama1-138:
Nama, don’t come sniffing round my arsehole like a little yapping dog and then act surprised when I react.
You want to come on here and troll, expect to be called names.
Useless Farking knobend.
9 Feb 2013, 16:17 pm
Stormers looking good. They should walk super rugby again this year.
9 Feb 2013, 16:18 pm
@Mr Black-173: Again? They’ve never won it.
9 Feb 2013, 16:21 pm
get used to it, Transie
Kings did well to get back into it though.
9 Feb 2013, 16:21 pm
@Robzim-171:
Groom MUST be our no. 1 scrum half. I hope AC sees it that way too.
@John Galt-172:
I was not surprised at all. I expected that kind of reaction from you. After all, you are one of those Shark supporters who like to call people names, as demonstrated in this post again.
So go ahead. Use another one next time. “Knobend” is getting boring, my little CUNTRY boy.
9 Feb 2013, 16:23 pm
@goyougoodthing2-174:
I thought they won it last year
Nama seems to think so
9 Feb 2013, 16:24 pm
@Mr Black-173:
Naw, i do not agree. The Sharks slaughtered the Leopards and are therefore the overwhelming favourites to win the SA conference at least.
Remeber the Cheetahs beat the Stormers and the Lions beat the Cheetahs. We are in serious trouble.
9 Feb 2013, 16:24 pm
@nama1-176:
Yawn. Have you found the evidence yet?
Haha, you are a sillytwat aren’t you.
You even asked Transie to help you look. Haha, what an assclown.
9 Feb 2013, 16:26 pm
Joe P seems to be more determined then last year when he seemed to just go through the motions. It shows what competition (read Taute) can do to a player.
9 Feb 2013, 16:26 pm
Kolisi really came into his own in the 2nd half. Candidate for MoM.
Last try of the match by Joe P.
Final score: 57 – 0.

9 Feb 2013, 16:31 pm
@Robzim-178:
Italy and Scotland starting now.
Can the Italians reproduce the kind of form they showed against France last week?

9 Feb 2013, 16:40 pm
@Transformation-190:
practice match indeed, Transie..
9 Feb 2013, 16:42 pm
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-192:
Who did you have in front on your scorecard after 10 rounds?
# This should be interesting.
9 Feb 2013, 16:45 pm
@RL-167: ” A Lions C team”
a team filled with Bulls REJECTS – cronje, tecklenburg, marnitz boshoff – a bunch of super rugby experienced players – minnie, coetzee, ross cronje, volminck, kritzinger…hehehe c-team indeed
9 Feb 2013, 16:48 pm
@nama1-194:
1 and 2 was even
3, 4, 5, 6 to Sonny
7, 8 even – or Botha edging
9 to Botha with Sonny receiving a standing eight count
10 to Botha completely with Sonny hanging on and clearly incapable of standing on his own feet BUT (and its a big but) the bell then gets rung about 15 seconds early in the tenth..?. huh.? wtf..?..
and then of course there rounds 11 ans 12…?… still waiting for an explanation…
9 Feb 2013, 16:57 pm
So:
1, 2, 7, 8 were even. (40 points each)
3, 4, 5, 6 to SBW (SBW 40: Botha 36)
9, 10 to Botha. SBW 17: Botha 20)
1 point deducted from both boxers.
So on your scorecard you had SBW 96 – 95 at the end of round 10.
SBW wins even on your scorecard.
There were no rounds 11 & 12.
9 Feb 2013, 17:05 pm
@nama1-197:
Sonny boy williams won on points over 10 rounds, no doubt.
But he was a gonner at the end of the 10th, no doubt.
Match was scheduled for 12, controversy.
9 Feb 2013, 17:06 pm
@nama1-197:
you’re a larf, Nama
i said 7, 8 were even or Both edging.
most importanlty, as expected, you have nothing to say about the bell being rung early in the tenth when Sonny was for all intents and purposes TKO’d and obviously about to be knocked out.
keep fooling yourself if it makes you feel better.
9 Feb 2013, 17:10 pm
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-199:
were even or Both edging. = were even or Botha edging.
