The Springbok Sevens won their first two pool matches at the Las Vegas Sevens.

They achieved a 45-0 victory against Uruguay, the only non-core side competing in the tournament, thanks to two tries from Cornal Hendricks, and then beat Canada 17-5.

Their final pool match is against Kenya at 23:50 (SA time) on Saturday.
