Plum confirms loss of Daniel

Sharks coach John Plumtree has confirmed the loss of Keagan Daniel and Tim Whitehead for the opening rounds of Super Rugby.

Reports from Keo.co.za followers earlier suggested injuries to Daniel and Whitehead that would see them out of action from anything between a month and two.

Those visitors to the site have reported that Whitehead broke his arm and will be out for six to eight weeks and Daniel hurt knee ligaments and could be out for anything from four to eight weeks.

Sharks coach Plumtree was contacted and confirmed that the conservative estimate on Daniel is a month and the prognosis on Whitehead is six weeks.

    let’s hope keegan’s results aren’t too bad…

The Sharks have a bye in Round 7 so Daniel could only return in the eighth round when they host the Crusaders at Kings Park.

Whitehead could return for the Sharks 9th round match against Stormers in Cape Town or a week later when they host the Cheetahs in Durban.

    There are enough substitutes.

Jean Deysel as captain. Any one of the flankers can fill in at eighth man.

Keegan will only miss the first 4 maybe 5 games and Tim about 6… The first Games are in 2 weeks time…

  • 9.THE MAULER: Reply to this comment

Predawn Fransie has been named Captain…

Yep..but wondering if that is the best decision…unless the kid has suddenly become a lot more mature in the last two seasons. Hopefully he has kicked that sulking shite into touch.

Daniel isn’t really injured. He was caught having it off with Plum’s Mrs. I know this because I’m really close to the squad.

Keo, you should ignore the other posters here and only turn MY “really informed” comments into articles.

watching one of the doccies detailing the 2009 BIL tour, at halftime fransie has a real go at the guys in the changeroom and its clear they all listened.

the lad is a lad no more, he is a bok veteran with 2 world cups and a stint overseas behind him and i am hoping we see him lead the sharks to glory.

at least he is a center that deserves a starting place…..

Predawn I think he has grown up and will see a more mature player… Plum has confidence in him.

    Give Frans the captaincy…

    6 Marcell Coetzee
    7 Willem Alberts
    8 Ryan Kankowski

    19 Jean Deysel

Wouldn’t mind seeing Pieter-Steph du Toit used on the blindside though.

why choose a nic so close to his…?

    just asking…

  • 25.John Galt: Reply to this comment

    They will more than likely miss the Cheetahs(Bloem), Stormers(KP), Kings(PE), Brumbies(KP), Rebels(KP).

    Not too bad.

Just make sure they are ready for the Crusaders at home and the Stormers away the following week.

    Robdylan

Why don’t you p*ss off back to your p*sswilly nonentity of a get-along gang fan site instead of causing kak here. You burnt your bridges here a long while back and skinner about what they say here on “voldy” too frequently on your little site to be allowed to waltz back here and cause kak without anyone picking you up on it.

Funny thing is, if anyone causes kak on your website, they’re banned in seconds.

@robdylan-11: you are not rob – who the fck are you. I suspect ones of transformers multinics.

  • 38.Chico the Chihuahua: Reply to this comment

@RL-37: he runs Sharksworld, the biggest bunch of Sharks whingers around. A few years back they (a very small group) left Keo to set up their own site. You are banned from mentioning the word “Keo” or this blog on their site, which they refer to by the code name “Voldy”, which is why I’m surprised to see robdylan back here (but then, his comments were all rather barbed, weren’t they?).

    :-)

  • 39.Chico the Chihuahua: Reply to this comment

@RL-37: there is a connection with transformation though… The blogger we know as Transie writes articles on their site (when he’s not slagging off the Sharks) under the name Megatron… another of his multinics….

You should get your facts right about the origin of the term Voldy and Ruggaworld, now run by PA. Rob has posted on here for a while even though he runs Sharksworld.

  • 42.Chico the Chihuahua: Reply to this comment

@David-41: and you are known for posting blatant falsities to fuel your pro Stormer agenda!

Please inform us when last you saw Robdylan post on Keo since he split? And try to keep the Stormers out of it, ok?

  • 43.Chico the Chihuahua: Reply to this comment

Also, are you denying they call Keo “voldy” on Sharksworld and that the mere mention of Keo can get you a banning (or a swift threat of a banning) on Sharksworld?

Interested to here what you have to say, David. And try keep your Stormer agenda out of it, ok?

  • 47.skopdiekan: Reply to this comment

The term Voldy came up on ruggerworld and adopted by defectors to sharksworld and rugby talk alike but it originated on ruggerworld

  • 48.David: Reply to this comment

    @Chico the Chihuahua-42:
What Stormers agenda are you referring to, you funny little creature? Rob has posted here a number of times over the last few years. As for Trannie, why shouldn’t he post on Sharksworld under a different nic. Hell, you disguise who you really are.

@Chico the Chihuahua-46: Now you getting paranoid as well.Rob ain’t out to get you! :D

  • 50.S_K: Reply to this comment

How did ruggerworld started.Did Pissant also defect from Keo? Seems that quite a lot of people get quickly disillusioned on here and start up their own thing.Chicoworld could be an idea for the next chap that leaves. :D

  • 51.David: Reply to this comment

    @S_K-50:
Ruggaworld started as a site to bridge the gap between the end of the SA rugby season and beginning of the next one, when Keo and his guys were hibernating. PA never abandoned Keo, as he regularly blogs here.
As for Chico, his nic describes him perfectly. Just a little dog that’s mindlessly yapping.

neo is a combining form meaning “new,” “recent,” “revived,” or “improved,” used in the formation of compound words such as neoclassic, neoorthodoxy or neophyte etc…

so based on favourable comments of his recent articles I was asking or suggesting that maybe this would be the ‘new’ or ‘improved’ style of article we could expect from keo…

With Whitehead out, the Frans/Jordaan centre combo will be afforded the opportunity to settle. Jordaan is a better option at 13 than Whitehead. Whitehead is primarily a 12
