Horwill still not ready

RICHARD FERGUSON updates Keo.co.za followers on the latest Super Rugby news from Australia.

Horwill return delayed

The Reds will be without influential captain James Horwill for another week, as the Wallaby lock’s return to action has been delayed by another week following an ankle injury.

Horwill has not played any rugby since tearing his hamstring during the 2012 Super Rugby season, and even though he was touted to return during preseason, he rolled his ankle and ruled himself out of the opening game of the season against the Brumbies. He will now miss the match against the Waratahs as well, but should be fit to face the Hurricanes in round 3.

Faingaa to face Tahs as captain

In good news for the Reds, centre Anthony Faingaa will return for the clash against the Waratahs, and it is said that he will take over the captaincy from James Slipper. The Reds are still missing Will Genia and will look to shake off the loss against the Brumbies by claiming an important Australian derby win over the Waratahs in Brisbane.
