Beale might miss SA tour

RICHARD FERGUSON updates keo.co.za followers on the latest Super Rugby news from Australia.
Beale out for a month
Kurtley Beale will undergo surgery this week to rectify a broken hand and is set to be out of action for four weeks.
Beale hurt his hand in the Rebels’ loss to the Waratahs and will use his time off the field to fully rehabilitate his troublesome shoulder, which he hurt earlier in the year.
Rebels coach Damien Hill is not keen to move James O’Connor from fullback, as he has shone at the back, and it could mean a debut for Angus Roberts at flyhalf.
The Rebels take on the Reds this weekend and have a bye weekend before travelling to South Africa to face the Sharks and Cheetahs.
Brumbies keep White
Scrumhalf Nic White has signed a one year contract extension with the Brumbies, keeping him at the team until the end of 2014.
White indicated that his desire to play for Australia led to him turning down offers from Europe.
Coach Jake White was keen to keep White in his ranks, but was ready to sign Luke Burgess if the current scrumhalf decided to leave.

Kurtley “The Real” Beale.
These injuries to the hands, or worse, the wrists, can be very troublesome and tend to drag on for what seems an eternity.
