Just why SARU sucks
18 Mar 2013
No one from the SARU executive attended the Kings Super Rugby debut. There was nothing official by way of congratulations. But the custodian of the game was quick to speak out when the Kings fielded three instead of two foreigners in the match 22 against the Chiefs.
The absolute desire to see the Kings fail from within the national executive is disgusting.
The haters of the Kings have a right of choice, opinion and expression of speech, however limited and demeaning it may be in articulation and expression, but the national governing body could surely show a bit more class instead of the obvious crassness we’ve seen since they were forced to include the Kings in Super Rugby when they cocked up a promise to the Lions that the Kings would be there because of a tournament expansion.
This franchise is the good news story in a unified South African rugby. It is the rainbow story, by choice and not construction. More than 100 000 of all cultures have attended the Kings three home games. Australians and New Zealanders can’t stop talking about the romance of the Kings’ debut month.
Every South African rugby writer who has made the trip to Port Elizabeth has written of the energy of the crowd, of the diverse cultural representation of the crowd, of the atmosphere at the ground and of the incredible spirit of those who play in the Kings’ jersey.
SARU’s national executive failed to see the significance of the Kings debut. All they see is the irritation of it. Typical of cowards there has been nothing but silence as the Kings have won the hearts of so many through the courage of their performance.
SARU hasn’t thanked them for adding a dimension to the game in South Africa but those who double as the custodians have demanded a report as to why the Kings fielded three foreigners in their match 22 against the Chiefs, when the SARU regulation limits all South African franchises to just two players.
The Kings, in their debut match, started with 15 South Africans and injury to captain Darron Nell in the warm-up of the Chiefs match forced a last minute call-up to a third foreigner.
SARU wants a report about it and were very quick to make public that they wanted this report.
They weren’t as quick to wish the Kings well prior to their first game and they weren’t rushing to congratulate the Kings on becoming the first tournament newcomer to ever win on debut.
The Kings represent the future of the game in this country. SARU is the relic that represents everything despicable about the past.

Sad to see 90% of the knowledgeable posters have left this site, but I could see it coming 6 years ago. Retards like skop are still shouting their monotonous ignorance from the rooftops. Cute.
It seems Keo is pandering to the unwashed masses with hysterical ‘journalism’ as well…

I don’t think it’s just SARU wanting them to fail, it’s just their standard incompetence and indifference
SARU can’t organize a screw a wh orehouse
The Kings have really showed some guts and although I still despise the Watsons and the politics they inject into rugby, the Kings performance on the field can’t be faulted
Solomon and Sexton really did well with the talent available and the limited time they had to work in

@keocoza Keo, did the Kings not field 4 instead of 3 foreigners in the match 22 ?? (Daniel Adongo, Hadley Parks, Tomas Leonardi & Vergallo)

Over the last couple of weeks i have followed the articles written by you Mark . Last week i read how you praised Jake Whites coaching . This week i have read this article above . Hypocrisy should have been the title of your article about Jake White because only a couple of years earlier you were one of those journalists who criticised him and wanted him gone . Now you write “Australians and New Zealanders can’t stop talking about the romance of the Kings’ debut month.” . I am one of those South African who actually live here in Australia and am in the rugby circles and this is definitely not true . The political agenda behind the Kings introduction is what makes the rest of SA feel somewhat bitter about the Kings and if this is the future of South African rugby then the future seems to be quite dark . I suppose the same begs for the rest of the country though , that is why men like Jake White now use their professional expertise else where

The original political agenda was to have a South African side that represented South Africa as a whole . The initial purpose for including the Kings was that this side would have more players of colour representing the broader South Africa . However that does not seem to be happening . Also Keo forgets that it is early times for the Kings . People get tired of seeing there team loose . I would like to see how full the stadium is at the end of the season

Good for these Aussie exempt expatriates like this ryan walkabout ranger and his snotty nosed pal Jake White .. its how they roll follow the money down the yellow brick road.. what they possibly could know about what Kings rugby means to a multitude of genuine south Africans is pretty much next to zero from their faraway enclosure of their irreconcilable perspective.
18 Mar 2013, 00:00 am
@ryan.walkerranger-24:
You miss the more subtle and historic reason. The EC was the home of the original SARU, which was a non racial organisation that included players of all races and colours, although they were predominantly black.
To expect the Kings to initially field a team of mainly black players after all the top and young emerging ones had been already signed by other unions is rather naive.
18 Mar 2013, 00:16 am
Without naming and im not saying its any of the above users but some comments I read on this page are disgraceful and very naive.
The negativity that surrounds every post on this blog is unbelievable.
People cannot have discussions about rugby without becoming keyboard warriors and trying to insult another blogger.
Many people have left and I tend not to comment on many posts these days as the general rugby posts go unnoticed and other stuff which is not worth thinking about is focussed on.
I just hope it changes the same as I hope SARU change and someone needs to grow a pair and start letting it be more fair.
You never hear any negatives about the RFU, WRU, NZRU, IRFU etc…
Never has politics continued to brake the game as it has in South Africa, it is very disheartening.
18 Mar 2013, 00:17 am
What a load of absolute nonsense Keo. Your limited view of this situation is of low intellect. The Kings wanted none more than to be included in a sporting competition for sporting reasons. One assumes that the primary sporting reason for including a previously excluded team would be their ability to compete. When one achieves expectations your performance is satisfactory. Although many would like to believe the romantic view that the Kings have been some kind of David vs. Goliath story, they have in fact only achieved what should have been expected from a sporting perspective. One win so far. So to admonish SARU for not showering them with praise is a load of BS.
So then, let’s get to the 3 internationals fielded. Is this a standing rule which governs all teams ? Weren’t the Kings clearly warned NOT to include more than 2 international players in their match 22 ? So what is the problem here ? Who are the scoundrels ?
Come now Keo….please keep it real.
18 Mar 2013, 00:19 am
@Rhys7-29: You are right. And it is precisely politics that makes people like Keo believe that the Kings should not be disciplined for breaking SARU’s rules that apply to all SA teams.
18 Mar 2013, 00:23 am
@Rhys7-29: Problem is Mark Keohane is so far up the Watson’s poephols, only his shoelaces stick out. This is a classic case of being a warrior for equality, but only when that recipe panders to your liking. The Kings wanted equality with the other Super rugby teams, but not really….they wanted a bit extra too.

@RaaeqG-5:
Daniel Adongo is from Kenia.
Players from Africa are not see as Overseas players.
Same as Namibia, Zimbabwe (Beast) etc
Therefore 3 international players and not 4 in 22 vs Chiefs.
I think SARFU is correct.
Rules is rules.
18 Mar 2013, 00:52 am
Anyway, they didn’t get any log points from the game so I think they should just be issued a warning….another one….together with a declaration of clear consequences if they do it again. Had they earned any log points from this game, I would say they would have had to be cancelled. Of course it would show some sporting value if they issued an apology to the Chiefs seeing that there is now way for the Chiefs to earn back the better points difference they may have gotten if the Kings had abided by the rules.
18 Mar 2013, 00:54 am
@skopdiekan-29:
Actually most people that are marketable to the international community generally do try better themselves as earning rands these days equates to earning nothing . As for what rugby means to the Kings I have a very good perspective on that as my grandfather represented the Lions and played in Springbok trials. I to have played representative rugby . The problem i have is that the King team got the go for political reasons and you correct in saying Jake White is snotty nosed but you cant argue results and he has quite a few of those . What are you rugby credentials , I am assuming they go as far as arm chair critic !!!

I have not yet completed(time is a problem) cleaning up your previous S H I T and now you stink the place out with the stench of this faecal matter?
Bwana, stay away from the history and politics and sports and sports’ politics of the Movement, as even if you were given the gospel thereof you would still know F O K K O L about it because you would not ever have the context of our experiences. With your now well exposed ignorance and stupidity, as you try to come across as ‘smart’ , you are ‘bastardising’ our noble efforts and upsetting many people unknown to you. I was phoned about this comment from S.A. (to busy to read all this KaK day after day).
For the record the E.Cape was not even the “original home” of Kwaru or Sedru because the E.Province and Border(non-racial units) were in existence long before them and were original founding members with numerous unions from the W.Cape( at least 6) and others(Boland, Tvl., G.W., Natal etc.) of the original genuinely non-racial Saru, way back when.
In fact, the main clubs(founding) of Kwaru such as Spring Rose, Union, St. Cyprians and more were originally part and parcel of E.Province(non-racial). rugby and cricket until logistics(apartheid induced) forced them to separate.
If any area was the “original home” of non-racial SARU(SACOS affiliate) then it would be the W.Cape where our rugby has been in existence for more than a hundred years.
Lay off bastardising the original non-racial sports codes with your shining ignorance.
Neither you or Domzim should ever try to represent our history and more in any form for you are grossly incapable of doing so and end up spreading lies and sowing confusion.
You are not even in this day and age capable of adequately defining the profound principle of non-racialism. Your version is merely neo-racism and I have made you abundantly aware for years now of that.
18 Mar 2013, 06:03 am
I’m a Kings supporter, but they are clearly wrong in fielding 3 foreign players in flagrant disregard of the rules, & will have to accept whatever sanction SARU imposes upon them. “Lawlessness” cannot be condoned.
As regards SARU, it is a retrogressive organisation – if it depended on SARU, we’d still be playing Apartheid rugby in pristine global isolation.
I’ve stated many times that their clear agenda/plan is for the Kings to fail. They’ve placed every possible obstacle to success in the Kings’/Spears’ path. In SA, rugby has always been political, & nobody is more adept at that political game than SARU (& its predecessors). With that as background, to level an accusation that the Kings franchise has been included in S15 for purely political reasons is the height of hypocrisy & insult.
Rugby in SA will never be transformed until SARU itself is transformed.

I’m not a fan of foreign players I agree we got enough player depth in S.A. and in EP but where are they all playing for Bulls and Sharks and couple for WP.
Local talented players from Queenstown Umtata King Williamstown or Bisho are not SR ready yet they gonna need at least another few seasons by then SARU sellout manipulation will have worked its intentions and EP back playing VC rugby in second division with no development and no sponsors.
18 Mar 2013, 08:08 am
@Transformation-70: their seats were taken
18 Mar 2013, 08:11 am
Fark SARU.
18 Mar 2013, 08:14 am
Engelbrecht Basson Stegmann Kirchner Serfontein Potgieter x 2 Ndungane x 2 Mapoe Kankowski Daniel Jordaan Sithole Mvovo Mtembu Whitehead Kolisi Groom Coleman Cronje
Get them all back to EP Kings then you don’t need no foreign legionaires mercenaries.
18 Mar 2013, 08:17 am
@skopdiekan-85: then you have to move back to Springs, who gave you the right to apply your trade in Cape Town?
18 Mar 2013, 08:18 am
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-80: look, there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that those people at SARU & whoever is the puppet master do not want us in Super Rugby, so no point in faking smiles.
18 Mar 2013, 08:18 am
Lord help the Springs community then, their manholes will be poorly cemented, Pfffffft
18 Mar 2013, 08:22 am
Shheeeez SARU you could have at least forked out for some of the R30 tickets.
Sheeky is going to need that geld to help pay their fine for fielding too many foreigners.
18 Mar 2013, 08:22 am
Its very simple. Dont end last in the sa conference. And if u do then win the lions. Dont start making excuses and bending the rules in round 5. And those players u mentioned can surely get out of their contracts. But do they want to? I think not!
18 Mar 2013, 08:22 am
What has happened to Lambie? Who is that impostor who is inhabiting his body? What the devil has happened to him?
18 Mar 2013, 08:23 am
sharks made my name tottie with that Brumbies poster here …..
18 Mar 2013, 08:24 am
@Transformation-87:
but Transie, the people at SARU put you in Super Rugby.
18 Mar 2013, 08:24 am
I wasn’t born in Springs I lived there for 8 of my early childhood years. I lived in Jhb for another 7 years 3 years in Europe and 35 years in Cape Town
Guess that makes me a bona fide Stormers supporting universal soldier if it don’t make me a Uzi toting Zionist cadet by some allegorical allegations
18 Mar 2013, 08:25 am
I’m quite suprised the CondomBuster didn’t attend.
18 Mar 2013, 08:27 am
@grant10-92: Ja boet, jy wil mos k*k praat!
18 Mar 2013, 08:27 am
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-86: skopshit tikkop better wear his Valke jersey is he is going to support any team.
@grant10-91: he does not look happy I must admit. Even Morne is out shining him and that aint good.
18 Mar 2013, 08:28 am
Plus im sure this kings squad can rumble over the lions. The lions will have to get all their players back. And train and be able to play as a unit. Seems as though the lions got it abit harder than the kings.
18 Mar 2013, 08:32 am
@Bigbok-98:
no, the Lions squad is still stronger.
Kings will have to play like they did in their games so far to have a decent shot.
personally, i dont think they’ll beat the Lions.
18 Mar 2013, 08:37 am
Cheeky has learned that often in life it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
18 Mar 2013, 08:39 am
@skopdiekan-85: what’s Groom have to do with the EC?
18 Mar 2013, 08:40 am
SARU palookas…..
They doing all they can to derail the Kings…
Farkem……
18 Mar 2013, 08:42 am
kings showed more character , commitment and never say die than Bulls and Sharks combined this weekend.
Soies and M Steyn showing their true cowardly colors again….
Lambie on current form not in top 5 of SA 10 s…..
What the hell is up man!
18 Mar 2013, 08:42 am
spies
18 Mar 2013, 08:43 am
Jannie Dup has done a knee as well……hope he recovers soon or Sharks and Boks up a creek sans a paddle
18 Mar 2013, 08:43 am
@Dilligafrican-101: he was born in King Williams Town, which by Skop’s reasoning means that he must be forced to play for the Kings and not ply his trade where he himself chooses.
Yes I know…….don’t even go there…
18 Mar 2013, 08:45 am
more on the Jerry Collins story:
Former All Black carried knife for ‘protection’
LATEST: Former All Black Jerry Collins could be in custody for more than three weeks as Japanese police investigate the incident in which he was arrested for carrying a knife.
Collins, 32, was arrested at the weekend in the central Japan industrial city of Hamamatsu on charges of illegally carrying a kitchen knife in a department store, police said yesterday.
He told Japanese police he kept a kitchen knife for ”self-defence”.
His agent, Wellington lawyer Tim Castle, said Collins had requested that the New Zealand embassy contact him and a lawyer had been appointed, with the help of the embassy and the Yamaha Jubilo rugby club.
“He’s still in custody and the procedure initially allows to hold him for three days,” Castle said.
“That can be extended for a further 10 days if they wish to do so while further investigations continue, which has to be done through a court application.”
“They can then request another 10 days, again through a court application, which means the whole procedure can be up to 23 days.”
“There are restrictions on who he can communicate with but these don’t extend to the embassy or his Japanese lawyer.”
Castle said he was unsure whether Collins was arrested without a charge or arrested on a specific charge.
“But I don’t understand there to have been any sinister attempt attached to his possession of the knife,” he said.
Collins’ Porirua family is in contact with Mr Castle, who may fly to Japan. “I’m ready to go if I’m needed to.”

this is where your booze money goes
SABMiller ups ANC donations as booze bans
loom
BREWER SABMiller plans to hike its donations
to the governing ANC drastically to more
than R5m — as government moves to ban
liquor sales on Sundays gather pace.
On Friday, the Gauteng legislature introduced
the controversial liquor bill that aims to
block alcohol sales in the province on
Sundays and tighten up on permits.
New bylaws are also due to take effect in
Cape Town next month, reducing the hours
in which alcohol may be sold.
Liquor companies such as SABMiller are also
being squeezed on other fronts. In December
the ANC reaffirmed its plan to ban alcohol
adverts.
On Friday, the global brewing giant confirmed
that it would donate R9m to political parties,
to be split between the ANC, Democratic
Alliance, Congress of the People, Inkatha
Freedom Party, United Democratic Movement
and the Freedom Front Plus.
The funding, which is for next year’s general
election, will be allocated to the parties in
proportion to their seats in the National
Assembly. This means the ANC will get nearly
two-thirds of the R9m.

@bokrugby RT @keocoza: Just why SARU sucks: No one from the SARU executive attended the Kings Super Rugby debut. http://t.co/ZbYZ9Br4Q4
18 Mar 2013, 08:50 am
@stormersboy-106:
Goeie bliksem but that is tenuous. He is aangenaaide familie but has lived in CT for a bloody long time.
Skop should pissof back to Isreal according to his own logic.
18 Mar 2013, 08:51 am
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-107: Self defence? Eish, he is in the same league as a 9mm but with a shorter range
What would he want a knife for – can’t be too many **** he should be afraid of.
18 Mar 2013, 08:55 am
@Dilligafrican-109: Not sure where he was born to be honest, but ja you get the point.
Schalk Burger was born in the Eastern Cape too.
He grew up here, attended school here and represented his province at junior level here, and nothing would make Skop happier than if he went back to play in the Eastern Cape lol.
18 Mar 2013, 08:57 am
@Dilligafrican-110:
my thinking too.
it makes no sense and i can only assume there is more to the story but we’ll probably never hear about it.
its a shame it had to happen to such a decent seeming bloke.
18 Mar 2013, 08:59 am
@stormersboy-111: Here is a fact. Skop is one very dilussional kumquat,
18 Mar 2013, 09:01 am
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-113: what the hell happened on Saturday my man? That was appalling man….any news on Jannie and Bissy meeting with the French?
18 Mar 2013, 09:01 am
@stormersboy-111: Nic was born that side – his dad’s a teacher and taught there for some time. When the family connection came to be he was still a tjokker but in CT and that is a long time ago.
18 Mar 2013, 09:06 am
@grant10-114: shhhhh….it shall be referred to as the game that shall not be named.
Turned the TV off after 10mins else I would be at Game this morning having to buy a new one.
18 Mar 2013, 09:08 am
jerry was scared of thr yakuza, with all the money being shoved at rugby players on japan they are soon to be targets of organised crime like footballers are in brazil.
18 Mar 2013, 09:10 am
@Dilligafrican-116: Fark….I ended up throwing a peak cap at the tv about 30 minutes in…..almost took out my fish tank which is next to tv…..I had a few Windhoeks so aim was a bit wobbly…..
Bloody terrible though…..have not seen such a rudderless display by Sharks in a very long time…..
18 Mar 2013, 09:13 am
Nic Groom is about equivalent Capie as I am born elsewhere spent most his life in WC
18 Mar 2013, 09:14 am
@Transformation-117: Difference is that Jerry is a gang in his own.
18 Mar 2013, 09:14 am
@Dilligafrican-115: Ja i know, besides, it doesn’t matter where you are born, it only matters where you are now from a playing perspective.
18 Mar 2013, 09:15 am
@Transformation-117: Sounds plausible.
Those guys will take down anyone, it doesn’t matter what size they are.
18 Mar 2013, 09:19 am
@grant10-118:
Boet, if a side plays like the Brumbies did on Sat, they will make everyone look rudderless.
Theres been a lot of negativity thrown at the Sharks and their heirachy but those people are not focussing on the only true fact here.
Those Brumbies were unstopable. Yes they caught us napping but they would have beaten any side on that day.
Brilliant Brumbies, even more brilliant Jake White.
18 Mar 2013, 09:20 am
I have always advocated a “State of Origin” equivalent tournament in SA, as they have had in Aus over the years, it would be great to see guys running out for their province of birth.
Great entertainment and good for sport.
I know we play a lot of rugby already so it’s never going to happen but i think that the Rugby watching community would love it.
Free State, EP and the Cape will most likely be strong contenders.
18 Mar 2013, 09:21 am
@John Galt-123: Agreed, that first half would have beaten any side.
18 Mar 2013, 09:25 am
@John Galt-123: It was a fantastic first 40…..agreed.
But the body language and lack lustre effort is a concern.
WTH has happened to Lambie? I cannot believe the player has regressed so much…..
18 Mar 2013, 09:31 am
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-80: & so says bakkies, the Guy Fawkes of all SA bridges to & from NZ
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-93:
yes, they did, on a losers’ ticket – in breach of their fiduciary duties.
but not worry, bakkies – the Kings will survive despite the cabal’s best efforts to the contrary
@Bigbok-98: @i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-99: The Kings will prevail – true grit, blood & guts, & purpose will prevail
18 Mar 2013, 09:31 am
@grant10-126:
Lambie was the only Shark on the field actually tackling. He put his body on the line and did as much as he possible could with the k ak ball he was getting.
Whats more concerning, and what led to Lambie being under pressure, is how our front row got monstered. Jannie got eaten by a 20 year old!
Only when Herbst came on did we start holding our own.
Should never happen to what is basically a Bok front row.
18 Mar 2013, 09:32 am
Lambie always been overrated … not by me but by mostly others I never been a Lambie punter I always thought Lambie don’t have what it takes at the crucial cutting edge. He’s no Johan Goosen and I reckon even dodgy Jantjies is better suited to crunch time rugby than him.
18 Mar 2013, 09:33 am
@grant10-105: Jannie Doep was very poor on Saturday – Herbst was an improvement
18 Mar 2013, 09:34 am
@John Galt-123: Correct John, That’s why I am just ignoring most of the negativity, Lambie actually did not have a bad game, he was at last attacking the gain line again etc, HIs kicks were very good, in fact he had some huge touch finders, Steyn sadly did not have a good game? nor Odwa.
I do question many of Kaplans decisions? specially at scrum time where the Brumbies were scrumming up and leaving the scrum early.
Other then that Brumbies were fantastic.
18 Mar 2013, 09:34 am
Plum is going to read these okes the riot act today.
Fark me they are in for something.
Frans, Keegan, Beast, Jannie, all of them are going to be told in no uncertain terms that Sat was unacceptable.
Expect to see a slightly different side run out against the Rebels.
18 Mar 2013, 09:36 am
Brumbies blown sky high into credence of incredible immaculate incantation. People blowing smoke up Jakes arse when all you saw on Saturday was the real level of overrated uselessness that is representation of the booming boom shaky Sharkishits franchise
18 Mar 2013, 09:36 am
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-131:
I definitely noticed the Brumbies breaking off the scrum early. But he only ever pinged keegan for it.
I dont think Kaplan had a bad game though, we were just asleep at the wheel.
18 Mar 2013, 09:37 am
@John Galt-128: @Angostura-130: That Brumbies debutant at loosehead was very impressive……my concern with Lambie is he is still too deep in the pocket and seems instinctively to want to kick ……as opposed to looking for options….
Watching the Goose it is exactly the opposite….he reluctantly goes to the boot….
I wonder if HM never got to Lambie….he is not the same player I enthused over last 2 years…..
early days and he can get his mojo back….but right now I am relieved the Goose is back.
18 Mar 2013, 09:38 am
seems Jannie may have knee issues as well…hope not serious
18 Mar 2013, 09:39 am
@skopdiekan-129: Only thing actually and truthfully overrated in here is you.
A kenner you sure as hell ain’t, IN BEING A FOOL?? in that you are a professional.
18 Mar 2013, 09:39 am
@Transformation-117:
The Yakuza have some part in Sumo and Baseball, why not rugby and illegal sports betting.
18 Mar 2013, 09:41 am
@grant10-136:
You mean Heineken for inside Lambies head but not inside any of the other 10′s?
Ja well no fine.
Maybe he’s been probed by aliens?
18 Mar 2013, 09:42 am
@grant10-136: The same Goose that is missing so many tackles??? hell Grant do you guys actually watch the games??? seriously boet. from you I expect better, I can understand the stupidity from Skop, he is just being his honest self.
Go watch both games again and watch only the 2 flyhalves, and see what both do.
18 Mar 2013, 09:42 am
Sharkishits big bok breekgatte were the ones fckd up by their own sense of big bok entrenched entitlement.
JdP Steyn Lambie Kankowski Daniel all nowhere
Plumber should have plugged all his leaking holes much earlier like starting with proper commitment from the youngsters who did what the big bok breekgatte couldn’t
Herbst Psdt Cooper should have started before Daniel JdP Burden and might have made a game of it.
18 Mar 2013, 09:43 am
What’s with the anti-Semitism on display here by some?
18 Mar 2013, 09:43 am
@gunther-140: well the Lambie of 2010, 2011 and 2012 farken abducted.
This impostor has become a cheap imitation of M Steyn, except Lambie has got balls and not so cowardly.
Now go wash the Picanto.
18 Mar 2013, 09:43 am
@Transformation-118:
Do you think FdP, Fourie and Sunni Bill also have to carry around shivs?
18 Mar 2013, 09:43 am
@grant10-136:
Yeah I thought as much initially. But then I remembered that there is no way in hell that Plum would allow his FH to play in any way other than his own.
Plum would never let another coach dictate how his FH is to play.
18 Mar 2013, 09:44 am
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-141: Goose is by far the best 10 in the country at the moment….
and getting better….
18 Mar 2013, 09:44 am
@grant10-144:
at go wash the Picanto
18 Mar 2013, 09:46 am
@John Galt-146: it may be sub concious
18 Mar 2013, 09:46 am
@John Galt-146: Lambie was more his old self last weekend, the first few games yes Lambie was standing to deep and not his normal way of play.
18 Mar 2013, 09:46 am
@grant10-144:
Maybe David Icke has been channeling his chakras?
It’s raining so Mavis has been spared the Piccanto.
18 Mar 2013, 09:46 am
@grant10-147: Like I said, go watch again.
18 Mar 2013, 09:47 am
For example:
Sharks_are_gonna_get_you: “bloody vegetable jew”
RL: “Hell man we have have a tikkoP skop **** zionist Isralei doos pretending to be a brokeback”
18 Mar 2013, 09:47 am
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-148: any news on how the Dups talks with the French went
18 Mar 2013, 09:47 am
HM got to Lambie?
Well let me also spew some BS.
I say it’s the Lions players… the fckers are toxic.
Stormers, Bulls and Sharks get them out of there.
18 Mar 2013, 09:47 am
@grant10-136: Goosen is the bizniz – a natural
18 Mar 2013, 09:48 am
Truth is no 10 Will be great when your pack is being dominated, nor any scrummy
18 Mar 2013, 09:48 am
@grant10-154: Not going to respond on that question boet.
18 Mar 2013, 09:49 am
@Angostura-156: wait until HM gets hold of him. That HM is a fcker….
18 Mar 2013, 09:49 am
@WP-Forever-153:
You surprised?
18 Mar 2013, 09:49 am
@WP-Forever-153:
He called Cunteye a vegetable?
That’s bang out of order.
18 Mar 2013, 09:50 am
And there’s a serious on field leadership fallout at Sharks was plain obvious they didn’t know who was calling the captaincy shots Steyn or Daniel. Total amassed confusion with a leadership vacuum because Daniel wasn’t cutting it and Steyn regarded as the strong senior.
Was a big fckup that ran on that field coming apart at the seams from the top down and unraveling from inside out.
18 Mar 2013, 09:51 am
@WP-Forever-153: Why not copy and paste all the insults he has thrown our way for a few years now?? oh wait? he is your buddy so it makes it right??
He is only getting back what he asked for.
18 Mar 2013, 09:51 am
@Angostura-156: I agree….exponential improvement I am seeing….as he gets fitter he will stamp his mark more and more….probably the player I most look forward to watching in rugby these days
18 Mar 2013, 09:51 am
@gunther-161:
18 Mar 2013, 09:52 am
@skopdiekan-134: Cmon, Skop, give some credit to the Brumbies (even if you are determined never ever to give that to Jake the Snake), they lost their best player for good this season and in Durbs HUMIDITY showed masterclass in attack, defence and HANDLING SKILLS.
Please be a little bit careful, if Capers fail vs those crazy horses, it will mean complete blank vs 2 teams you don’t rate at farken all. What will it say about the Capers?
18 Mar 2013, 09:54 am
i’m just saying, if Panasonic are prepared to pay Jaque Fourie $1.1bar a season, best believe that someone is looking with a beady eye…the world cup 2019 will see deals being made hecticly.
keep ya blade jerry!
18 Mar 2013, 09:54 am
If Dingo Deans farks the cat again this year Jake has to be on the short list for the Aussie job.
18 Mar 2013, 09:55 am
@polaris-166: Very true mate, Jake White is by far SA’s best coach, The Brumbies were superb on the weekend.
18 Mar 2013, 09:55 am
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-163:
He is most definitely not my buddy, Tyrone.
But anti-Semitism really gets my blood boiling.
18 Mar 2013, 09:56 am
@WP-Forever-153: True Colours
18 Mar 2013, 09:56 am
@gunther-168: Gunther, JW takes over the Aussies?? you read it here first, they will win the next WC.
18 Mar 2013, 09:56 am
@Angostura-156: @grant10-164:
go read my post on the Brumbies thread about Goosen. Not going to repeat it here. Then tell me what you think. He was terrible against the Chiefs. It also has to do with the opposition you are playing against SURELY!
If anything Demitri (sp) is shinning even in a losing pack against tough oppostion. Probably flying under the radar because of that, but he is playing great.
18 Mar 2013, 09:57 am
@gunther-145: fdp not bloody street smart! too ng kerk to carry an okapi…
18 Mar 2013, 09:58 am
@Transformation-174:
Do you carry an okapi?
18 Mar 2013, 09:59 am
lets first see how Brumbies go against Stormers……
that was a dismal shadow of the true sharks……all that kak with Bissy and Jannie breking on thurs also could not of helped….throw in Keegan thrown straight into the fray after a lengthy injury.
Stormers wont stand back for Jakes boys….
18 Mar 2013, 09:59 am
@grant10-164: yes, yes, yes
18 Mar 2013, 09:59 am
@Angostura-171: Run along fake snake
18 Mar 2013, 09:59 am
@Transformation-174:
What about Sunni?
Dios he rock a lem?
Fourie is from Egoli so he was born holding a weapon.
18 Mar 2013, 10:00 am
@gunther-179:
Ntondo?
18 Mar 2013, 10:01 am
Getting back what? Don’t flatter yourself vetgat you couldn’t dish out a condescending insult if you tried let alone try retaliating with one. You wanna enter into the insult trading business you way out your league. Pisswilly little piepie joller insult trader is what you are.. you and your RL gatgabba both. John Galt comes a measured distant third.
18 Mar 2013, 10:02 am
@Puma-173: Forget Angotwata, he claims to be a Sharks supporter?? yet only ever says negatives about them, he a damn fake Snake.
18 Mar 2013, 10:02 am
John Plumtree is a Manchurian Candidate, plain and simple.
i might be wrong but i think he has some Maori tattoos.
can a Sharkie please verify.
18 Mar 2013, 10:03 am
@gunther-168: I don’t think Aussies will tolerate 2 foreigners in a row. However, it might be highly amazing if that happens – eddiejonesing in reverse.
18 Mar 2013, 10:03 am
@WP-Forever-180:
Nhosepipe.
18 Mar 2013, 10:03 am
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-183:
18 Mar 2013, 10:03 am
@skopdiekan-181: Pease you old inbred ******, you are the lowest form of scum,
18 Mar 2013, 10:04 am
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-172: Agree totally. We lost our very best coach we ever had because of saru. Can you imagine if he carried on with the Boks after 2007 where we would have been at right now? Mind boggles that we lost him. Some can say what they like about Jake he is a world class coach and always has been.
Another thing that really impressed me with the Brumbies, was their players had NO arrogance about them at all. That is a typical Jake trate, he will have none of that in his team. They win brilliantly and all of them are humble in it. Now I can tell you that is not a Aussie trate at all. Jake has us respecting these Aussie players hugely.
There was a piece that I read in a British paper after we won the wc in 2007 how they said this was the most humble Springbok side to have won the wc. The grace they showed in winning and the impeccable manners had won the world to their side. Need to go find that piece, as I think Jake is doing the very same with the Brumbies. Have huge respect for this Brumbies team.
18 Mar 2013, 10:05 am
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-183: Why not go belittle you own rubbish coach?? grow up and stop trying to bad mouth the Sharks because they lost, your team lost even bigger.
18 Mar 2013, 10:05 am
@gunther-168:
The Wallabies will beat the B & I Lions (the previous B & I Lions that were wallaby-kicked home lion tail between the legs were much stronger than the likely current crop).
18 Mar 2013, 10:06 am
@Puma-188: Cheers bud.
However ahem “their players had NO arrogance about them at all. That is a typical Jake trate, he will have none of that in his team.”
Ireland 2006.
18 Mar 2013, 10:06 am
Who would win in a Celebrity Death Match bout between Fuckadilly and Tyrone.
I think Cunteye would steal an early advantage by standing on tiptoe and biting him on his fin.
I think Tyrone would seal the deal early in the second round by sitting on the Fishoek Oracle.
18 Mar 2013, 10:07 am
@Puma-188: True Puma,
18 Mar 2013, 10:07 am
KEO u are such an i d i o t !!! Bet u are somehow on the take with the Kings! The fact of the matter is that they broke the rules! So they should be punished! what a load of Bs from Keo gain! The real headline should read..” Why Mark Keohane sucks!” Mark u are a hypocrite just like your fat lying mates cheeky and puke! The kings lied to get into the comp in the 1st place by saying they want to develop EC rugby and now they have been caught out by fielding too many intl players and must pay the price! Who the hell are they too think they can just ignore the rules! Congradulate them hahaha!

What is this, a nursery playground?
18 Mar 2013, 10:08 am
166 polaris .. Brumbies played exceptional rugby first 35 minutes. Down to smacking the overrated Sharkishits off their overrated tickie and not letting them get a foothold in the game for entire first half. Down to the influence and drilling instituted by Fischer and Larkham no doubt but also down to Sharks actually coming apart at the seams from within was written all over their demeanor that psychologically they weren’t up to the task. Captaincy fallout issues huge plus wrong back row selected and not one go to man enforcement in the entire team till young Psdt and Cooper introduced second only in second half.
18 Mar 2013, 10:09 am
@Angostura-128:
Angostura, i am behind the Kings too and would like to see them prosper.
are you surmising they will better the Cheetahs and not end bottom of the conference log or rather they will beat the Lions in the event they do?
good luck to them all the same.
if it makes a difference, i dont hate Kiwis.

Cunteye would be an excessively flatulent version of Joseph “Blue” Palasky.
And Tyrone an unfit, overweight version of Nick Slaughter from “Tropical Heat”.

Now that is some funny ****.
18 Mar 2013, 10:13 am
@polaris-191: I am talking about the wc 2007 team, by that time he had them doing just that. They were humble. Whether you think so or not. He is doing the same with the Brumbies side. The players themselves have no arrogance in winning and they won by a massive margin. Now I can tell you that is not like the Aussies they have plenty arrogance. This Brumbies team are humble. Jake has worked on them not only in their rugby, but mentally as well. They will win over huge support from everyone because of that. They not only winning on the rugby field they winning everywhere else as well so to speak. Good on our Jake. We lost a brilliant coach to Oz.

I see the Kings favourite cheerleader is at it again. Keo, you come across like a temper tantrum throwing 2 year old…. If it doesn’t go your way you throw your toys out of the cot.
Tell me, did the Kings break SARU rules by fielding more than 2 foreign players (excluding those from Africa) in the game? Yes they did.
They broke the rules. If any other team did it your panties would be in a huge knot!
Can’t wait for the Crusaders to thump you this weekend.

Otherwise he was fine.

18 Mar 2013, 10:26 am
@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-198: bakkies, I’ve stated all along (that is from months’ ago, circa Nov 2012) that the Kings:
1. Will end 14th on the overall S15 log;
2. Will end last in the SA Conference;
3. Will secure 2-3 wins plus some bonus points in S15;
4. Will beat the Lions in the promo/relegation playoffs; &
5. That their real mission for 2013 is to learn, improve, gel as a team, secure the support of the locals, to show that they belong in S15, & then to beat the Lions in the playoffs.
The above is a prerequisite to realising their transformational & development plans – first things first.
This is still what I hope for & believe.

18 Mar 2013, 10:34 am
@Angostura-216:
fair enough although to be honest, i just dont see them beating the Lions.
if they do then well done and it would be an incredible success in the greater scheme of things.
if however in the very likely event they are relegated then they should put in place something similar to what the Lions are doing with the Lions Challenge and seek to keep their Super Rugby squad engaged in games in hope of winning the next releg/promo playoff.
failing this there is every likelihood the comp will be expanded for the purpose of accomadating both the Lions and the Kings in 2016.

I actually like the Kings and having just spent a weekend in the PE area (when the Sharks were in town) I must say, the enthusiastic and united support for the home team (look at those attendence figures) was heartening, exciting and welcome. Sure, they broke the rules – wrap them on the fingers and then let them get on with giving the locals a taste of real rugby. The atmosphere in PE and at their staudium is SO far superior to anything JHB and the Lions have produced in the last decade !
18 Mar 2013, 10:40 am
This Tyrannysourpussy Rex is a bit of a Sharkishits schmuck he once called me on my cell phone sucking up wIth some type of pseudo friending aspirations. I think he got my number from a blogger who was a mutual contact. Anyway at that stage he was having big problems with RL and Grant10 on this blogsite. I said to him then that Grant was a good guy. He didn’t want to take my accredited character reference at face value. I also said I thought RL to be an O.k. individual though my only framework of reference on RL was from this blogsite. All this shows is in reality a snake is not something or someone you trust. People who change allegiances and so called associated back slapping comrades on cyberspace are snakes in real life as much as they be snakes in cyberspace.
Jake White no different a snake may try shed its skin but the indelible markings left at birth always materialize back again.

I disagree about Jake staying would have seen a golden era. The break was the best thing that happened to him. If you remember, his personal life was in turmoil and the man was on the way to becoming an alcoholic.
18 Mar 2013, 10:47 am
last sentence of the article sums it up well. The bloggers on here are probably a good representation of the rugby public in SA. Provincialism is rife and we only band together when the ‘enemy’ is of a greater force / an outsider.
When some do not agree with anothers opinion then the racism and anti semitism comes to the fore. Keep fighting boys…. but the rugby world is passing you all by. The real issues are the way SA is structured and the quality of coaching.
18 Mar 2013, 10:47 am
@skopdiekan-225: your accredited.character reference? Accredited by whom? This should be good.
18 Mar 2013, 10:47 am
@ryecatcher-215: Hello Rye, How you doing bud? Hope well.
Yip that was sure our ‘Black Saturday’ don’t think it will get worse than that at KP. Just hope we go better this Saturday. Right now we missing some key players, once we have them back we should do better. Probably after our bye hoping to have some of those players back.
18 Mar 2013, 10:47 am
Crusaders front row forward Ben Funnell has been suspended for one week for an act of foul play.
SANZAR duty judicial officer Nicholas Davidson accepted a guilty plea from Funnell for contravening Law 10.4 (e): Dangerous Tackling.
The replacement hooker was cited following the Crusaders’ 41-19 demolition of the Bulls in a Super Rugby match in Christchurch at the weekend.
Funnell has been suspended from all forms of the game until March 23.
That means he will miss the Crusaders’ encounter with the tournament rookies, the Kings, on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the 60th minute of the match between the Crusaders and Bulls.
SANZAR duty judicial officer Nicholas Davidson assessed the case.
In his finding Davidson ruled the following: “The DJO considered the video footage and the citing report before hearing from the player and his counsel with coach and manager.
“A dangerous tackle was admitted.
“The incident was not treated as deliberate foul play, but resulted from a poorly executed hold to the neck of the Bulls player [Grant Hattingh], which was held as the players went to ground and thus dangerous.
“The Bulls player suffered concussion and whiplash.
“He should be ready to play next week, but that requires further assessment.
“The incident was closely considered for mid range entry level, given the clear directives against tackles or holding around the neck or head.
“The absence of deliberate application of force to the neck was a factor against that.
“The prompt admission of breach and the young player’s good record allowed for mitigation and the indication given the player was a one week suspension which he then accepted.
“He was thus suspended for one week up to and including March 23.”

@David-230: Hello David,
I think it would have been our best ero had we kept Jake. Remember sometimes if you have something in life to keep you focused, it keeps you out of trouble. Whether he was going through a hard time then or not in his persoanl life, he would have pulled through well with that if he was still coaching the Boks. Just great to see him doing so very well with the Brumbies. All the best to him and his team, he deserves it.

to my sharkies, wake up lads. still a long season but you didnt do yourselves justice imo.
and lastly, i am no kings hater but i do believe the rules are the rules and the kings should be punished for their transgression here.

Farking hell Ballito is humid today
18 Mar 2013, 10:57 am
Explain to SARU why they broke the rules and move forward. Their situation should demand a bit of compassion. They had SARU’s blessing when they were offered the chance to enter a team in the S15. They don’t need a pat on the back after each win.
18 Mar 2013, 10:57 am
I know who he got my number from and so does he. Sell your ramping garbage elsewhere stupid degenerative dumbass the low level of creepass associated assumptions come from largely the low indignant insinuations of the hyper shark infestations here it’s you fckrs got to get some serious grip on where integrated levels of loyalty and credible association rest.

Bloody Jewish rotten vegetable.
18 Mar 2013, 11:14 am
Couldn’t be bothered to read the comments so far, but talk about conflating two unrelated issues for the sake of making a painfully loaded point. What Does SARU’s non-attendance have to do with the Kings flouting the rules of the competition and being called up for it?
And here’s the thing: Everyone knew this was coming. Everyone could see that Cheeky and Solomons were, at some point, going to defy the ruling, and that it would then turn into a staring contest.
How Keo can now be all “bad SARU” when the Kings clearly and deliberately poked the hornet’s, nest can only be understood against the background of his client list.
18 Mar 2013, 11:15 am
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-270: STOP THE RACISM ….PLEASE MAN!!
18 Mar 2013, 11:15 am
Sjo Skop u really are a bitter person. The Kings are playing super rugby. Much better than your critics thought they would. Yet u still complain that the same rules apply to them. Should the lions and the cheetahs not be granted the same curtousy then. The Kings are gonna have a great season(in losing and first season standerds). But they are still gonna finish dead last and play a relegation match. If they win then they deserve to be there. If not shampies. Ad to Jake white he just gooid a big zap to saru. He was chased like a dog and now everybody wants him to come back? Would u? I sure as hell wouldnt. He is an awesome coach doing awesome things. Did u see on saterday he beat the springboks with a no name team. U have to admire that.
18 Mar 2013, 11:16 am
@skopdiekan-265: Go mix your cement, your manholes are going to fall apart.

I am also still waiting to see all these hordes of EC black players that didn’t get a chance to play rugby get a go….

When you can do that? gladly come back and request me to stop??
18 Mar 2013, 11:22 am
@grant10-272: racism or anti semitism?
both are bad i agree.
calling someone a jew isnt neccescarily anti semitism though is it?
and is it any worse than calling someone a dutchie or a soutie?
lastly, nama told me there was no such thing as race but i want to know if two indian people can have a chinese baby and if there isnt race then how can there be racism?
i am confused and looking for answers on keo which just shows how deep my confusion goes.

18 Mar 2013, 11:25 am

Agree with you David. The break was the right thing for Jake. He would not have continued with his winning ways. I doubt it. It came to a climax at the world cup 2007
18 Mar 2013, 11:25 am
@The Rangerman-245:
Well said by Dangerman.
Well said.

he is not a bad oke at heart but he could seriously annoy anyone looking for an honest non-pc opinion.
18 Mar 2013, 11:26 am
@The Rangerman-282: See Ranger my point exactly, his mates are over looked for the real race issues.
18 Mar 2013, 11:26 am
@The Rangerman-282:
That’s a bit complex for our Grantie.
If a concept can’t be explained on the front of a tshirt he’s out of his depth.
That said Tyronne needs to easethefuckup on the anti-Semite vibe.
It’s out of line.
18 Mar 2013, 11:27 am

@The Rangerman-282:
Calling someone “Jewish” is fine, Rangerman.
Calling them a “Bloody Jewish rotten vegetable” is something entirely different, don’t you agree? It is the intent behind it – which in this case is clearly to be derogatory.
I think Tyrone should visit the Cape Town Holocaust Museum as penance, maybe expand his world view a bit.

Rangerpussy trying to slime it with his Sharkishits gatgabba the reality of it is that rangerpussy fakes it same way as tyrannysourpussy does they try pretty pretenses that they don’t harbor rampage racism tendencies inside their racist fed heads but racist are same kind people as fakers you can smell them a mile away.

@i_love_u_bakkiesbotha-276: lol…i know…they scan the tickets to get through the meyer bosmans & from there people pour onto the concourse, this is where it goes bonkers as one can just walk into most sections/blocks & sit without anyone checking their ticket.

Definitely not haimischer menschen.
18 Mar 2013, 11:55 am
” But the custodian of the game was quick to speak out when the Kings fielded three instead of two foreigners in the match 22 against the Chiefs………….”
So no one at the Kings can count…………………………………….and this somehow the SARU’s fault.
Farrk them, fine them………………………………..they knew exactly what they were doing.
In NRL (League) they would have already been fined, warned, threatened and had any points accrued struck off.

The maximum of two foreign players restriction is a SARU restriction.
It is not a SANZAR restriction.
Therefore even if SARU wanted it can’t dock points from the Kings, since the Super 15 is a SANZAR-governed tournament.

I ain’t on that list.
As for Kings they deserve the same leeway and leniency Lions and Cheetahs and Bulls and Sharks got the last decade or more.. ALL those teams finished last on the entire table not only the SA conference but the entire SR shindig Bulls Sharks Lions and Cheetahs all finished stone last.. Lions and Bulls have the distinction of going an entire season without ONE win… Not ONCE did any of those teams get called to play a play off do or die relegation match in the last 15 years Not once..

after all its you racist goons who pray to the same bloody vegetable Jew you strung up on your cross of belated religious conviction.. you pray to this bloody vegetable Jew daily to deliver you from the atrocities of your own weak intoxicated afflictions then you crucify him and then you make a heathen worshiped god out of him…
so make up your mind who it is you love and who it is you hate because as clear as goddamn daylight from here you bunch of sanctimonious racists are as confused as you were back then when you strung the bloody vegetable Jew on your cross and then tried making up for it for the next two thousand years and counting..
18 Mar 2013, 12:07 pm
Adongo had another big game on Sat – it baffles me why the Bulls got rid of him last year and why he isnt in the starting lineup every week. This guy has loads of promise and I hope Heyneke Meyer does something to nurture his talent considering SA isnt exactly stocked with an overload of great locks at present.
Flip vd Merwe
Juandre Kruger
De Kock Steenkamp
Eben Etzebeth
Andries Becker (leaving)
Steven Sykes (showing some good form again)
Franco vd Merwe
Thats about all we got at present. 6 possibles after Becker goes. One or 2 injuries and were down to just the 4 we need. We could really do with another solid lock and Adongo fits the bill. He is also versatile enough to play 7 or 8 I reckon – in fact he might make a brilliant eigthman.
Does anyone here know why the Bulls dropped him?

18 Mar 2013, 12:11 pm
Skop i didnt say i want Jake back. And he certainly is not my messiah. I just said pay him his dues. As for the relegation match. It was what was decided to include the Kings. U knew this when u started the season. If u want all the teams treated equally then u guys must automaticly be relegated if u finish ladt. Thats what happened to the lions. They were dropped for an inferior team. It is what it is.

18 Mar 2013, 12:12 pm
Considering its a Sanzar imposed restriction I reckon they should just shut it. Sanzar control the Super 15 and Rebels had many imports last year – I really dont see what the huge fuss is all about – the sub came due to injury so they went with what they had. Hullabaloo abiout nothing as usual.
18 Mar 2013, 12:12 pm

18 Mar 2013, 12:13 pm
@Transformation-334: Oh really? I suggest you and keo and Cheeky get together for a little brainstorm to consolidate the spin. This fragmented barrel scraping is doing your cause more harm than good.
18 Mar 2013, 12:15 pm
also regarding Jake – the man obviously has some credentials and is backing it up with performances – the Brumbies made the Sharks look like rank amateurs on Saturday. Kudos to Jake – he´s certainly a more astute coach than many think. Personally I would be quite happy to see him coaching the Boks again in the future.
18 Mar 2013, 12:15 pm
@cane-348: No, I actually think it was that “little Kink” down in Port Elizabeth who started it some time ago…
18 Mar 2013, 12:18 pm
Something else others dont seem to mention is that perhaps Naka drotske aint that bad a coach and also deserves a crack some time – he has done wonders with the Cheetahs considering their distinct lack of personnel. Theyre playing some of the most exciting rugby among the Sa franchises and theyre finally starting to back it up with some decent defense which has always been their weak point.
18 Mar 2013, 12:18 pm
@cane-305:
hello Caner,
have you come to feast on our misfortune you cretin?
beelzebub is the same as beezlebub? lord of putrid stuff and flies
if you were a demon/bad spirit who(what) would you be?
18 Mar 2013, 12:21 pm
there nothing for me to let out.. its you got racial issues about who is running your colonial country to the dogs.. how the Saru pricks ran your precious messiah out of town and are now lamenting they want him back.. sounds suspiciously like that other bloody vegetable messiah you strung up on your heathen cross then you realize the mistake 300 years later and make a crucifix pagan ritualistic god out of him.. almost identical scenario the way you wanna hump this fake rugby messiah in Canberra as to how you pray to this fake bloody vegetable jew god on a Sunday.
so no it ain’t me who got issues to let out.. check your sharkishit tyrannypussy gatgabba who let out all his inherent afflicted emotions hating the bloody vegetable jew he then goes and prays to on Sunday.. Its you rangerpussy and your sharkshit gatgabbas who dunno wtf you are doing in this life.. who you wanna hate and who you wanna love.. you as confused as your poor bedeviled sharkishit kiwi coach who plays three pathetic little poefta loose forwards and gets his arse turned inside out at home in his own guppy tank… and then has this confused state of bewilderment clouding his consciousness as to what the fck actually happened out there in real life reality zone.

Ahhh commenting on this blog is like talking to yourself. All people are interested in is slinging insults at each other and pretending to be ever so clever with their wiley rhetoric. Pointless in the extreme.
18 Mar 2013, 12:27 pm
@Bigbok-347: I got no problems with the rules.. Kings must abide by them and they will I reckon.. they might kick up a fuss about the unfairness of the situation because if you count the way Lions and Bulls and Sharks have performed in years gone by finishing stone last and getting given free entrance the year after then Kings should have gotten that offer the same at least till they found their feet .. not in year one where they only just got given a chance to prepare for a long term SR position.

surely a guy like jean cook should have never made the bulls bench or even played if your above statement was right?

FNB UP-Tuks No. 8 Jean Cook has been
selected on the bench for the Bulls when
they take on the Force in Pretoria this
weekend.
It has not taken long for Bulls coach Frans
Ludeke to give him a shot at the big-time
after a solid preseason and a number of
outstanding FNB Varsity Cup performances.
wanna reconsider that line of thinking?
remember when chiliboy was sent to Vodacom Cup to get game time after recovering from injury. how was that different?
18 Mar 2013, 12:30 pm
@Slumtown-349:
There are like 50,000 Rugby Players in the EC.
Or some such number…………………………………….Surely they could have found one (1) to fill a position on the bench.
One rule to rule them all.
One rule to find them,
One rule to bring them all

Skop my God has nothing to do with my post. If u wanna talk rugby then im game. Im not here to defend my religion to anyone. Im a lion and i have my views. I was angry at saru and the kings but im over it. I doubt the lions will get back into super rugby until the expantion in 2015 yet im still not as sour as u are. As for Jake he is doing well thats all i said. But say what u must i dont give a damn. U come out guns blazing then go on a rant. Plz get over it.

Kings against the big red is gonna be tough. I hope that they dont give the kings as many injuries as the gave the bulls. Otherwise your seasons gonna take a dramatic turn. And u just might need to field 4 foreign players.
18 Mar 2013, 12:35 pm
Bigbok if it offends you or affects you then let it or don’t.. the call or choice is yours….I put it out there for all hypocrite so called non racists to check inside their immaculately prissy clean consciousnesses and see where their reaction takes them…
Like I said it don’t bother me in the least what anyone might think I am or what my religious or racial affiliations denote.. they wanna sling insults I warned them they ain’t in the insult trading league.. now I check they kinda quiet all of a sardientjie…
they still haven’t made up their minds if they love or hate the bloody vegetable jew they strung up on the cross then made him into their pagan worshiped god they pray to every Sunday.. or you reckon they have by now.. 2013 years later?

Willemse answers Bulls SOS
Boks on casualty list
South African Under-20 lock Paul Willemse is heading to Brisbane to join the Bulls ahead of their Super Rugby crunch match with the Reds.
The SOS to the burly 20-year-old Willemse comes in the wake of the news that lock Flip van der Merwe has joined the growing injury list of the Bulls in Australasia.
Van der Merwe, who took a blow to the chest in the 19-41 loss to the Crusaders at the weekend, is the fourth Bok in the Bulls camp to join the casualty list.
Wynand Olivier, Francois Hougaard and Akona Ndungane will all be returning home, following injuries in the Bulls’ defeat at the hands of the Crusaders.
There is still some hope that Van der Merwe may recover in time to face the Reds.
According to the Bulls’ website the initial diagnosis suggested the Bok could be sidelined for between five and 10 days.
However, the Bulls are holding out hope that Van der Merwe could make a speedy recovery.
According to Bulls coach Frans Ludeke the decision to fly Willemse out is a precaution, as a final call on Van der Merwe will only be made on Wednesday.
Grant Hattingh, the other lock on tour, is also doubtful as a result of slight concussion – the result of foul play by Crusaders replacement hooker Ben Funnell.
The Crusaders player has been suspended for one week as a result of the dangerous tackle on the Bulls player.
If both Van der Merwe and Hattingh are ruled out, loose forward Jacques Potgieter could be moved to the second row or Willemse could start at lock alongside Juandré Kruger.
* Meanwhile it was confirmed that Olivier (knee, out for four weeks), Hougaard (ankle, two weeks) and Ndungane (cheekbone, four weeks) will be replaced on tour by Francois Venter, Ruan Snyman and fit-again Bjorn Basson.
Lionel Mapoe and Dewald Potgieter will also be fit for selection this week
Apart from the touring squad, the recovery of Dean Greyling and Marcel van der Merwe is on track.
Van der Merwe will be ready to return to the playing field in May and Greyling could be back in three weeks.
18 Mar 2013, 12:36 pm
@Transformation-362:
I’m sure you are right. Hence my ?mark.
However the Bulls don’t have a problem that when their Vodacom
Cup team plays down the road they have to field ineligible players to make up the numbers.
I call bullsheet.
18 Mar 2013, 12:37 pm
@Slumtown-346: players from the African continent are not considered FOREIGNERS…the Stormers had Chavanga, Mujati, Tony Brown & Naqekelevuki in 2008, they weren’t called for have too many foreigners.
18 Mar 2013, 12:38 pm
@Slumtown-355:
true
long may their good fortune continue.
@Slumtown-359:
see now thats half the problem right there.
you make rugby comments sure but its a bit like betting on red or black with you.
you either come up with a winner or a loser.
“Considering its a Sanzar imposed restriction I reckon they should just shut it. The best 2×2 by far.
18 Mar 2013, 12:39 pm
@cane-363: If the Kiwi teams arent bound by those rules then dont see why the Kings need to be – but I agree they should be mining local talent anyway and not giving it away to foreign imports (non african)
18 Mar 2013, 12:39 pm
@skopdiekan-365: ek sal so doen
18 Mar 2013, 12:39 pm
@Transformation-374: Tony Brown is from Riviersonderend.

so the general consensus is:
1. the kings deserve a gentle thwacking
2. jake white is an awesome coach
is this a fair reflection?

18 Mar 2013, 12:51 pm
Ja I saw Goosen wobbling on that knee in second half.. and I reckoned he was getting close to breakdown again.. reckon can start writing the kid off he can’t last beyond 3 games in succession then his fragile bones go bust… toughies.. thems the breaks and those the consequences perhaps has something to do with the stuff they feed these kids when they building bone and muscle in the rugby kindergarten gyms at high school
18 Mar 2013, 12:51 pm
@Slumtown-387: adongo (kenya), engels (namibia) not foreigners! leornardi, vergallo, parkes…(2 x argie & kiwi)
18 Mar 2013, 12:53 pm
@cane-399: See Cane I would welcome that with open arms, I am here to talk rugby, but should I just overlook insults thrown the way of the Sharks and its people all the time?? hell NO
Bring it on I say, I am done scrolling by, now I fight fire with fire/
Banter is one thing, what we have had to put up here from many Stormer supporters is not banter, HG is living proof of someone saying F* that, now I will give it back 20 fold .
18 Mar 2013, 12:54 pm
@Transformation-407: Oh FFS read my original post.
18 Mar 2013, 12:55 pm
@Transformation-407: That’s rubbish anyhow. to say because someone is from Africa he is not a foreigner??
A foreigner is anyone who does not carry a LEGAL SA passport.
18 Mar 2013, 12:56 pm
@Transformation-407: how the fck can Adongo not be a foreigner? Does he have citizenship? No
Don’t come here with harlot make believe stories.
18 Mar 2013, 12:56 pm
@Transformation-407:
340.Slumtown:
18 Mar 2013, 12:07 pm Adongo had another big game on Sat – it baffles me why the Bulls got rid of him last year and why he isnt in the starting lineup every week. This guy has loads of promise and I hope Heyneke Meyer does something to nurture his talent considering SA isnt exactly stocked with an overload of great locks at present. Flip vd Merwe
Juandre Kruger
De Kock Steenkamp
Eben Etzebeth
Andries Becker (leaving)
Steven Sykes (showing some good form again)
Franco vd Merwe Thats about all we got at present.
I said nothing about him being foreign – Dawn replied because he´s foreign and I mentioned Beast and Mujati were also foreign (NOT FROM SA) and played for the Boks.
18 Mar 2013, 12:57 pm

@RL-411: That would be xenophobic.
18 Mar 2013, 13:00 pm
End of last year I made a comment that Goosen should look to put on some mass and go on strength training otherwise he’ll struggle to keep it all together for long.
Now I’d say he should add some common sense on the field as well, too many times he goes head first into a ruck when there’s already a bunch of his forwards there.
Slaan net die gate en sit anders weg, laat die telbord loop en hou jou broekie skoon soos Baas Naas gedoen het.

Springbok Johan Goosen will undergo surgery again, after injuring his knee in a freak training ground accident.
Cheetahs team manager Eugene van Wyk told this website in an interview from the team’s base in Sydney that Goosen slipped at training and damaged his cruciate ligaments.
He will return to South Africa on Thursday, when a decision will be made when he will go under the knife.

@grant10-429: Looks like the Goose made of glass.
18 Mar 2013, 13:09 pm
Johann Goosen out injured and has to have another knee op. Eish, feel for the youngster. Looks like a really bad on this time round. Think it is a knee injury similar to what Bissie picked up. He returns to SA on Thursday.
18 Mar 2013, 13:11 pm
@grant10-429: He is good Grant, but his defence is lacking. Also has nerves. He has played very well with Cheets but we also have to remember they have not truly played a top team yet. Landers are well undercooked and Tahs are hopeless.
Lambie and Steyn for Bok fh this year, unless one of them pick up a injury. Keeping my fingers crossed for both of them. Season is way, way too long.
18 Mar 2013, 13:11 pm

jaco.engels was born in namibia, has played for boland, bulle & now kings…never been regarded as a ‘foreigner’… same applies with adongo tl tl tl
stormers had mujati, chavanga, tony brown, naqelekele & there were no issues cos players from the african continent are not considered foreigners.
beast played for the sharks AND boks sans “CITIZENSHIP” explain that?
mujati too
18 Mar 2013, 13:12 pm
The rule that Africans aren’t foreigners is beyond stupid. Either have a rule or don’t. But until Gadhafi’s dream of one Africa under one flag is realised, these are all sovereign states. That goes for Zim, Nam and Bapethikosfukkenweti.
The fact that the Stormers got away with fielding two Zims along with two other foreigners under this rule in 2008 doesn’t make it any better or worse. (The fact that they managed to squeeze quota points out of a Fijian is pretty fuckenstupid though).
18 Mar 2013, 13:12 pm
@cane-426:
Bakkies was delivered by stork with delayed jet lag.
He actually operates on Central Cheating Kiwi Time.
18 Mar 2013, 13:12 pm
@grant10-429: damn and the Cheetahs were also hitting their straps – maybe they shouldnt have chucked Sias out so soon. He has been doing well at Force.
Obvious Goosen needs to bulk up a bit and work on his legs. Way too fragile.
18 Mar 2013, 13:12 pm
@Dilligafrican-416: it is not written anywhere that foreigners from deepest darkest Africa can play as locals – can you imagine if it was then local pygmy “bantu” players will be shafted for big Kenyans and big Nigerians if the Bullies and others scout there.
Then you will see xenophobia with tyres and petrol and matches outside of Mandela stadium.
18 Mar 2013, 13:13 pm
@Puma-433: I know this was a freak accident, but there is far too much rugby. The number of injured players is just ridiculous. How do the Kiwi teams manage to have so few injuries. I think our streangth conditioning is not done correctly. Gym strong is not neccesseraly what you need to be for rugby.
18 Mar 2013, 13:14 pm

Good thing M Steyn is back in form (not so great for attacking play though)
and Lambie has been playing well. Goosen needs to sort himself out physically otherwise he´s going to be a no go for the Boks. Funny how certain players are just always injured – Deysel another one, Brussouw has had a fair deal of injury issues.
18 Mar 2013, 13:17 pm
@Transformation-437:
Hahaha!
naqelekele?
You mean Naqelavuki for sure.
18 Mar 2013, 13:17 pm

18 Mar 2013, 13:18 pm
@Transformation-437: nc nc nc Engels was born in Namibia which was a “province” of South Africa. He gre up inm the RSA and schooled in the RSA, has a green I’d book too (not baught).
The Kenyan is a bloody foreigner, end of story.
18 Mar 2013, 13:18 pm
@Puma-434: Lambie simply has to step up now and regain the flair and lose the skop en jag…..
Disastrous for Bok rugby……I dont think I could stand another year of M Steyn….
Hope Jantjes and Catrikillis step up too…

18 Mar 2013, 13:20 pm
@RL-441: Don’t really see the problem if the idea is to try and provide some development platform for the other african states.
Besides, besides the odd Kenyan or a couple of Zimbos pitching up in SA the western african players would rather go for the european leagues where they get paid in something that approaches money.
18 Mar 2013, 13:20 pm
@RL-450: correct
18 Mar 2013, 13:21 pm

@Dilligafrican-454: Most end up in the UK or France/
18 Mar 2013, 13:22 pm
The captain was injured 5 minutes before kick-off and all replacements have left with the Vodacom team by that time. What were they to do?
Have a heart man! Cut them some slack.
18 Mar 2013, 13:24 pm
@grant10-451: Lambie is doing just fine, he had a good match Saturday considering the pack got klapped. yet Goosen has you sucking up his naught whilst he missed so many tackles??
Nee man los Lambie uit, let him play for the Sharks, you can have your MOrne back and Jantjies who got run over by F steyn like he was an ant.

18 Mar 2013, 13:27 pm
@TooMuchRugby-458: If it was just a once off I would agree , cut them some slack, they however did the same in the other games,
Mate, they knew they were stretching the rules and was even warned before the season got under way. SARU did say as per the rules on SA rugby, 2 foreign players only per squad.
18 Mar 2013, 13:27 pm
@Dilligafrican-460: lol yup
18 Mar 2013, 13:28 pm
@Dilligafrican-454: as long as it is legal then fine – but what the harlot queens are doing is breaking the law. Imagine the outcry from Cheeky and the other cadres if bullies “poach” 7 Kenyans for super rugby exposure and end the contracts of local pygmies.

His inflatable vest popped a pectoral.
18 Mar 2013, 13:30 pm

18 Mar 2013, 13:31 pm
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-464:
But, it was a once-off. In the other games they used only two foreigners. Adongo not counting, according to SARU’s own rules.
18 Mar 2013, 13:32 pm
By the way, Adongo is really improving. Much better than previous games I saw from him.
18 Mar 2013, 13:33 pm
@TooMuchRugby-471: Sorry not true, How can Adongo not be a foreigner?? does he carry an SA passport? did Beast not get stopped from playing for the Boks till he had a legal SA Passport?

Goosen faces surgery again
Mon, 18 Mar 2013 10:39

18 Mar 2013, 13:35 pm
And to add to that, Zimbabwe in the old days featured as a province in the SA sports system, Kenya never did, so in a way one can still take a Zimbabwean and a Namibian as locals.
18 Mar 2013, 13:35 pm
@grant10-451: Lambie done actually well on Saturday Grant. You of all people (played fh yourself), should know if your forwards are getting smashed it is very, very difficult for a fh to perform. BUT he tired and just look at his 2nd half performance. He was actaully very good there taking it flat and also trying some kicks over to put players away also NEVER ever missed ONE tackle. Never went to piecies kept his cool as well. Some of your criticism of him on the game on Saturday is not fair and honest. Lambie was one of our better players with, Herbst, Psdt, Cooper and Kankol Wait and see when our big bashers get back, he will be on top of his game. Lambie is class he will get it right and do yourself a favour go back and look at the sharks 2nd half and then tell the truth here, Lambie was very good in the 2nd half, more the Lambie we know. He will be fine Grant I have not problems with Pat at all.
Goosen is good Grant but his defence is not great and he too suffers nerves. Right now the two with the best bmt are Lambie then Demitri followed by Morne. Lambie never suffers nerves not even when his team is taking a thrashing. Huge strength that bmt don’t underestimate it. Carter and Wilkinson had bucket loads of it. The best fhs have it.

Tell it to SARU, not me.
18 Mar 2013, 13:40 pm
Katman ek stem 100% saam. Altyd vol verskoonings.
18 Mar 2013, 13:41 pm
@skopdiekan-396: i suggest you do the same snoeks.
because you have far more hatred in your heart than me old chap.

18 Mar 2013, 13:50 pm
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-487:
Ek weet jy moet jou rug skeer, maar moenie vaseline gebruik nie.
18 Mar 2013, 13:51 pm
@The Rangerman-489: Shoot one extra large rockard for me too, delivery to Ballito please??
18 Mar 2013, 13:57 pm
Did Tyrone just badmouth me?
Ja RL.
“The Kenyan is just another bloody foreigner”
You guys just cant help yourselves.
18 Mar 2013, 13:59 pm
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-488: I know, but I have to put it straight there. Pat was actually good on Saturday no matter who says what. There were only a handful that were good for Sharks. Psdt, Herbst, Kanko, Cooper and Lambie.
Why Grant wants to have a go at Pat here is being unfair really. Our forwards were smashed on Saturday and no way will ANY fh not even Carter produce in those circumstances. At least he kept on trying the whole game, also never missed a tackle. 2nd half we saw him taking it flat and that was because we had some more grunt coming on for us. Pat will be just fine I have no doubt about it. Still the best at goal kicks from our conference this year…..
19 out of 18 so far…. hehehe.
18 Mar 2013, 14:00 pm
@The Rangerman-489: Sounds great Ranger, enjoy it bud.
18 Mar 2013, 14:02 pm
@Puma-494: I think Joe has only missed 1 too so far,
18 Mar 2013, 14:03 pm
@stormersboy-496: How many has he taken so for bud?
18 Mar 2013, 14:05 pm
@stormersboy-496: I haven’t seen the stats, you would know as you look at them, but out of our fhs don’t think Pat has missed a tackle so far. Could be wrong, but he just about always gets his man.
18 Mar 2013, 14:06 pm
@RL-450: when did Beast get an ID?
He has never been regarded as a foreigner
18 Mar 2013, 14:06 pm
@stormersboy-496: Another good tackling fh is Demitri. I really think Stormers slipped up bad letting him go to Kings. He also has bmt, one of the few that does.
18 Mar 2013, 14:07 pm
@TooMuchRugby-485:
“The incident was not treated as deliberate foul play (by the KIWI judicial officer), but resulted from a poorly executed hold to the neck of the Bulls player [Grant Hattingh], which was held as the players went to ground and thus dangerous.”
“The Bulls player suffered concussion and whiplash.”
clearly the intent to injure dangerously was there.
18 Mar 2013, 14:11 pm
I am watching game again now….. minus the windhoeks…will revert soon re lambie.
18 Mar 2013, 14:16 pm
@Puma-497: 5 conversions and 8 penalties. 1 missed out of 14 Kicks at goal in total.
Pat has hit 16 penalties an 1 Drop goal. Not sure how many he has missed. Total 18 shots at goal I assume if he has missed 1.
18 Mar 2013, 14:17 pm
@Puma-500: Demitri has done really well, no doubt.
18 Mar 2013, 14:18 pm
WTF Jordaan???
18 Mar 2013, 14:20 pm
@grant10-505: Bad hands.
18 Mar 2013, 14:23 pm
@stormersboy-506: no hands….kicking the ball along the ground to kanko???
No man.
18 Mar 2013, 14:24 pm
So the Kings wants a noddy badge every step of the way and a blind eye to their transgressions? Kak man!! Earn your way around and earn respect the way it is meant to be earned. That is one thing the Watsons cannot manipulate.
This article just breaks down the bit of respect these players have fought hard for.
18 Mar 2013, 14:25 pm
@grant10-507: That was shocking to say the least.
18 Mar 2013, 14:25 pm
@grant10-507: I thought you were talking about the two dropped interceptions.
18 Mar 2013, 14:29 pm
@stormersboy-510: Those as well…very dissapointing .
18 Mar 2013, 14:30 pm
” Springbok Johan Goosen will undergo surgery again, after injuring his knee in a freak training ground accident. ”
Who informed you last season that with the druggy’s compromised musculo-skeletal system(by steroid-like ‘medications’) it is merely a case of which or which structure in that joint is next on the list?
Damn in this sea of stupidity you make me look like a combination of Einstein and Newton and I am not, just an honest, humble researcher in the medical sciences.
He cannot even make it on the training field. He should go for a 2 year semi-retirement and hopefully come back clean and seemingly stronger but still compromised (for life).
18 Mar 2013, 14:35 pm
Kyle Cooper ….PSDT……nice…
Indeed Lambie looking the business in 2 nd half….

18 Mar 2013, 14:41 pm
@stormersboy-503: Pat has taken 19 shots at goal and only missed one against the Stormers. It was a penalty he missed. That is top class goal kicking bud. The best stats out of the fhs so far. Think Morne must have 2nd best he too is kicking at goal really spot on right now. Joe is doing the business too. Not sure about Demitri, but he hardly misses any as well.

Sharks were quite decent 2 nd half…..Lambie played well…varied it and took it reasonably flat….nice little chips into space…..
1 st half was just a nightmare.
18 Mar 2013, 14:45 pm
@Puma-516: pat missed vs kings & was given a gimme by japhta to retake the kick!
demetri has missed 4 i reckon in 3 games.
18 Mar 2013, 14:47 pm
@grant10-518: You see what I tell you about Pat? He was good in that 2nd half. Looking more like the Pat we know. Also thanks Grant for being honest. As I knew you would be.
First half was a total nightmare for all the team, if you getting smashed in the collisions nothing much will help. The replacements made a big difference. Hope we have learned huge from that game. Sometimes a massive beating wakes the team up from the slumber….hahaha. Though I think we might struggle still until we get our big guns back. For now hope we hang in there until they return. See Jannie is out injured now too.
18 Mar 2013, 14:48 pm
msteyn & GA both have scored tries, don’t know if lambie has gone over the whitewash…
18 Mar 2013, 14:50 pm
@stormersboy-517: Yip knew Morne leads our conference as Bulls have scored more than us on the board. What I was talking about was how many missed from the kicks that the player has taken so far. Think there Lambie does lead the pack. Having only missed one so far. 18 out of 19 he has got at goal. Morne can’t be too far behind, he may have only missed 2 not really sure as he has been very good at kicking at goal this year too.
18 Mar 2013, 14:50 pm
@Puma-516: Puma do not forget Lambies touch line kicks, I thought they were superb on the weekend as he found some very long touches
18 Mar 2013, 14:52 pm
@Transformation-521: Know he has not then not many of my team have gone over the whitewash. Think Ludik and Kanko have scored. Jeez after all the tries we scored last year. Though think we waiting on our big guns. Once we get them back expect us to play better, until then hope we hang in there. For this game on Saturday not expecting anything after the really poor performance we gave on Saturday. But we surely can’t ever be as bad as that again. Now the pressure will be on the players as surely some will be dropped.
18 Mar 2013, 14:54 pm
will the Sharks again play vs GSmith without a deck player?
marcel is one dimensional on attack, he seldom breaches the gainline as, like jaque pottie, he wants to prove he is a toughie instead of attacking the spaces…elke tyd he is bouncing with his shoulder or his bum off people.
18 Mar 2013, 14:54 pm
And again it is so easy to see that having achieved the 4 try bonus point before minute 35 the smart Brumbies had nothing more to play for except maintaining that situation(with a shift in emphasis to defence) and thus the motivation of necessity degraded somewhat (and it was different).
About 3/4 times in that 2nd. half they gave gentle reminders of what they could do if the opposition became too brave.
18 Mar 2013, 14:54 pm
@Puma-522: The 2 weakest kickers have been Jantjies and Goosen, the rest have kicked well.
18 Mar 2013, 14:54 pm
@Transformation-521: No
18 Mar 2013, 14:55 pm
@Puma-520: could of been a push over try to Brumbies last move of game as well….in fact the Brumbies butchered about 3 trys ….
Not good…I didnt like the body language and attitude……Lambie was decent 2 nd half…..
a few sharks need to catch a wake up…..that was really unacceptable .
Hope Stormers are wide awake to the Brumbies offload game….got to tackle them with attitude….
PSDT and Kyle Cooper showed some ballas….
18 Mar 2013, 14:56 pm
@Sharks_are_gonna_get_you-523: Yes of course, he was very good with that too. I pleased with his play so not sure why some are having a go at him, he was one of the Sharks that actually played well and never gave up. Also I saw Butch again after I told you, I doubt he will be back until after the bye. Bosman will have to cover Pat. Another thing if Plum was not happy with Pat he would have surely have moved him to fb and NOT Fransie…..
It was Frnasie that got shoved back there when Ludik went off injured. Or did he want to see how Bosman went next to Pat? That could also be. But Plum not daft he knows which players never produced. There were only 5 that produced on Saturday. Psdt, Herbst, Cooper, Kanko and Pat. The rest were not great at all.
18 Mar 2013, 14:58 pm
@Puma-524: the excuse of humidity in Debben is GONE puma, brumbies shattered it by playing wide in the 1st half & scoring 4 tries in first 40…
18 Mar 2013, 15:00 pm
Marcelle Coetsee had a decent 2nd half too…..
Kanko and Keegan were not up to it….
That Mc Cleod was put under huge pressure…..sharks just did not protect the ball at the breakdown.
I awas hoping I had seen the last of G Smith, here he is back to haunt me again…..
Bet Schalk is relieved he is not playing this weekend….
18 Mar 2013, 15:00 pm
@grant10-529: We without our big guns Grant. We will get it back when they come back, similar to last year when we lost Beast and Alberts for the first half. Once they got back we got it together. Though not sure we can always play that amount of catch up again. Then when we were losing last year we were losing with a losing bonus point. We never ever played this bad that I can remember. Also that loose trio were brilliant towards the end of SR, but we can only play them if we have Bissie and Alberts playing. Alberts played lock at the time.
Don’t worry about your Stormers you will beat the Brumbies. Also remember they without 4 players it seems from the Sharks game. We send them to you on crutches bud…..hahaha. You do the same for us with the Saders okay….
18 Mar 2013, 15:03 pm
@grant10-532: Play Deon at openside with Vermeulen and Elstadt you will be covered. Remember the Brumbies 8 was colossal. You have Vermeuelen though so all sorted. Though Vermeulen never had a great game against Sharks.
AC will be ready for Jake this week make no mistake about that.
18 Mar 2013, 15:04 pm
@Puma-533: Will be tough against Brumbies…a clever team….hoping they a bit sore though, and if they do lose Mogg, Kimlin and a couple others it will assist a bit for sure…will be in stands for both the brumbies, saders and sharks games [ 13 april ]…
18 Mar 2013, 15:07 pm
@Transformation-531: The humidity was not high on Saturday to be totally honest Transie. Then it was raining too that cancels it out, the ball stops being so slippery with the rain even in slight humidity. It is actually like washing it all the time so to speak. With rain you still have a better grip always, than you will have with the humidity. Though rain it is still not the best weather to play in, so kudos to the Brumbies….
Today it is hot and humid. Hope it is not like this on Saturday.

@grant10-538: Tiaan in the front row will help.
18 Mar 2013, 15:10 pm
@grant10-538: I think Stormers will win Grant. Also Brumbie probably have 4 players out injured. Even if they had their full team think Stormers would win. Just study how Sharks got it wrong and Stormers will do the business.
18 Mar 2013, 15:10 pm
@stormersboy-539: For sure and move Deon to openside. He was superb there in the CC final.

18 Mar 2013, 15:14 pm

Is this your haughty, European capitalist, colonization notions emotionally running away with you(as a badly clutched straw) after that 41 ‘snotting’?
After more than 400 years behind your kith and kin you arrogantly still do not know this answer?
Sadly for the innocent indigenous people this is all relative to who the bigger bully is and it is always the one with the greater firepower at that time.
Be prepared to be educated.
Who effectively “owns” the car you bought when it is stolen, then(see how dynamic and ever changing it is)?
Who then effectively “owns” ‘your’ car when 10 days after it was stolen it is deliberately run over a steep cliff(see the change again)?
18 Mar 2013, 15:27 pm
@grant10-532:
The Sharks (like the Stormers) need a proper top class fetcher flank. The closest to that is Botes (who might be in his last season). Maybe they should give Kleynhans a go & let him develop & grow as 6? The Brumbies game has shown you shouldn’t play both Kanko & Keegan in the same loose trio against a top flight team. I think one should play either Keegan or Kanko at no 8, the other to be either on the bench or to sit out completely. There is simply not enough grunt with both playing simultaneously, especially when Alberts/Deysel are not playing.
Sometime in the future I would like to see Plum give this loose trio a try (just to see, it may be the answer, especially together with a pacy lock like PSDT):
6. Botes or Kleynhans
7. Deysel
8. Alberts
Reserve: Coetzee
Plenty grunt right there, & a fetcher as well.
18 Mar 2013, 15:27 pm
@gunther-545: hehehe. I have aircon here bud, so that is room temp for me… can’t have it any colder than that otherwise it takes the lovely rich red wine flavours away…hehehe.
I don’t drink Tassies….
Like a really good red wine or nothing for me…. hahahaha.
I tried some of the pink stuff you like while I was in the Cape a few weeks back. Not bad as I found some that was not sickly sweet…hehehe.
Need to take a call back later.

While we are speaking of rules:
“The Executive Council of the Varsity Cup has accepted the decision that UP-Tuks will only be severely reprimanded and not punished after being found guilty of contravening the Varsity Cup constitution.
Senior legal mind, advocate Jannie Lubbe, was asked to rule on the academic qualifications of participants in the FNB Varsity Cup, presented by Steinhoff International and the Young Guns competition.
Lubbe, one of SA Rugby’s most respected and experienced arbiters, was asked by the Varsity Cup Exco to rule on eight charges against FNB UP-Tuks of fielding possible ineligible players in the Varsity Cup and Young Guns competitions.
Lubbe found FNB UP-Tuks guilty on four of five charges in the Varsity Cup competition and not guilty of all three charges in the Young Guns competition. All the guilty charges though relates to one player.
The guilty charges relate to the required number of bona-fide students that are allowed to play in the competitions. All 23 players in the Young Guns competition must be bona-fide students as must 18 out of the match 23 in the Varsity Cup.
In his finding Lubbe found that the club also contravened the rules last year, but found this new contravention due to a different interpretation of the rules by a senior official at the University of Pretoria.
“Varsity Cup accepts that we need to upgrade the constitution even more, as we did it extensively in 2012,” said CEO Duitser Bosman.
“We have a bona fide students audit during the competition every year,” Bosman explained.
“We picked up some possible issues with UP Tuks and asked for additional information. After that, we decided to declare a dispute against UP Tuks and to ask an impartial individual, adv. Lubbe to rule on this issue.
“We as Varsity Cup accepts the finding of Adv. Jannie Lubbe SC. We want to state that all remedies available to us according to our constitution to address this situation were used. We need to protect the integrity of the competition at all times and in this case it demands that we have to accept the ruling made by the arbiter, as dictated by our constitution and approved by all 13 member universities at the last Annual General Meeting,” said Bosman.
“Play offs are around the corner and we would like this to be the best Varsity Cup finish in the six year rich history of the competition,” concluded Bosman.”
If Tukkies can get away with it…………………

Who “owns” all those guns you have at home for the spook that the ugly-bearded Imam Amla comes across to you, bigot?
And when those guns are stolen(as too many are) who “owns” them then and is a huge threat to you and leaves you unprotected against the ugly-bearded Prince of ODI batsmen, Amla?

Who “owned” their bank bonded/morgaged homes and/or land in Constantia, Upper Wynberg, Upper Claremont, Upper Newlands, Greater Sea Point(and surrounds), District 6, Fordsburg, South End and North End and Fairview and Dowerville and lots more(all P.E.) and many other places all over S.Africa?
Which god gave the Afrikaner ‘apartheid’ rulers(your benefactors) then the right to simply slap much lower than market- value prices on those properties(many acquired by rich pale academics even) and sent those displaced people packing to bush lands mostly undeveloped, where little or no transport was provided when forced there(that’s how the Cape Flats was given birth – many cheated unforgiving innocents) ?
Ever heard of “forced removals”? It happened all over S.A.
And who now(much money paid) “owns” some of those lands in many if not all the locations and more named above?
All relative ,not so.
Beware, no amount of guns can save you from the very many Pakistani supporters at the cricket who were still decent and honest enough to applaud the brilliance of the ugly-bearded Amla who so spooks you to messing your PJs every night it seems.
Who “owns” you every scary thought if not the threat of the genuine indigenous people of S. Africa.
Has your lesson been rammed home and made an impact however wrong you may make a decision.

a jake white team LAUDED for “attacking play”
“We were embarrassed and the team is
embarrassed,” Plumtree said.
“There are senior players in the side that
haven’t stepped up and juniors that have,
which is not acceptable. The pride’s really
hurt.”
The attacking play from Jake White’s
tourists was especially impressive as their
exceptional ball handling skills and pace
ripped apart the Sharks’ defence.
“I thought they were outstanding,”
Plumtree said.
“I mean, our defence clearly wasn’t up to
the mark in the first half, particularly.
“In saying that, I don’t really want to take
anything away from the Brumbies attack.
The way they kept the ball and built
pressure was a real lesson for us and
probably a lot of teams.
“Defensively we haven’t had to sustain that
type of attack before, so they just ate us up.
They sapped our energy levels
.
“It was just a tough night for us and we
clearly weren’t good enough.”
18 Mar 2013, 16:14 pm
@TooMuchRugby-550:
What ‘rules’? They make up the rules as they go forward in rugby time.
Each conference has different rules to apply one from the other(not uniform at all even at Championship level) and within at least two Conferences the rules are different for some franchises(Force and Kings and more)
18 Mar 2013, 16:15 pm
Fielding 3 foreign players is wrong. SARU is correct to follow the matter up. SARU’s use of a public platform to voice their displeasure was unnecessary. Kings will get the punishment and we will all move on.
Watching ESPNs 30 for 30 made me ponder the Kings situation a bit more. The “U” was from the wrong side of town, wrong skin and all of that. To make the “U” a success took white coaches who believed in having a good football program with a mix of black and white players. The Notre Dames and other top colleges did play tricks on the “U” using the establishment and all the rules and spies they had but they were not able to put the hard working team down.
What will make the Kings a success is pure hardwork and determination. If Cheeky is a cheat, time will surely reveal all that and he will get his comeuppance. For now, we support the Kings knowing that not all the players who could have made the squad got a chance but we support it because the 100 000 attendance is vindication of our love of the game.
To correct something so structurally wrong with our rugby was always going to take something radical. The Lions will be back next year because they might have better players when the promotion/relegation battle comes through.
What this gives us the confidence that the Kings are here to stay is because one day the Cheetahs, Sharks, Stormers and Bulls will compete on the same footing with the Kings for the promotion/relegation battle.
Sharks know about Currie Cup relegation. The EPL has many cases of clubs that have been relegated over a period. A sporting dynasty will take the better part of a generation and while one is at its peak another is bubbling under. It’s just the laws of the Universe. While Manchester might hit their decline in the next 3 – 5 years, Swansea might rise as they have been doing over the last 10 years.
Nothing is cast in stone. We have time and time reveals all things.
To those who might be interested in how the Kings will shape up in the 7 years, the story of the “U” is very instructive.
The Miami Hurricanes football team represents the University of Miami in the sport of American football. The Hurricanes compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The program began in 1926 and has won five AP national championships (1983, 1987, 1989, 1991, 2001). Miami is ranked fourth on the list of All-time Associated Press National Poll Championships, tied with Southern California and behind Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Alabama.
Two Hurricanes have won the Heisman Trophy and six have been inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame. Miami also holds a number of NFL Draft records, including most first round selections in a single draft and most consecutive drafts with at least one first round selection.As of the 2011 National Football League season, UM had the most players active in the NFL of any university in the nation, with 42. The team is coached by Al Golden and plays its home games at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Generally it is not in the interests of the bigger unions to have a stronger Eastern Cape because that will make NMMU stronger, EC schools will be bolstened by the influx of junior talent.
I would surely send my son down to Eastern Province: Grey PE/NMMU if i knew he had an opportunity of playing Super Rugby every other year. I would do that knowing his route to the pro game might be shorter than an academy player at the sharks and bulls.
PE is good for a young player, relaxed and the set up will be developed in front of the players eyes. Less drugs and rock n roll i think.
This is think is why other unions do not support the Kings, it will mess up their long term recruitment strategies. Politics aside, the Kings are good for rugby. To be frank, the black people of the Eastern Cape have chosen to support the Kings as they are and have laid aside their beefs with Cheeky & Co.
We all know all is not rosy in PE but if this is the only hand we have been dealt with then we have a duty to support them and make it work.

@ryecatcher-578: Hi rye …
I don’t know, best to ask Demetri how he feels
I guess it depends whether the intention is to insult or not.
Amongst local black soccer fans it is fairly common to give players they fancy descriptive nicknames, but those names are usually flattering, e.g., “Ace”, “Professor”, “Roadblock”, “Who’s Fooling Who”, etc.
Maybe this tradition will take hold in local rugby as well?

You such a pompous doos.
Then don’t post and f-off.
If you added any meaningful value I would’ve given you the benefit of the doubt.
18 Mar 2013, 19:07 pm
@ryecatcher-604:
The word, “insult” wasn’t directed at you
but rather
at those flinging about insults today such as “the jew” with obvious contumelious intent.
I had earlier posted that I felt “The Greek”, referring to Demetri, was in the same category.
Referring to that post you asked me whether “El Greco” would be OK, & I suspected it was just banter from you, & I gave my honest opinion on that.
Your post did not offend me, since I’m not Greek, nor do I really know how Greeks would feel being referred to in this fashion.
But I note that you now appear to be offended & tempted to insult – there is nothing I can do about that other than explain myself as I had done above & in my previous post to you.

Being PC about hidden repression of racist indignation is unnecessarily nonsensical. Specifically some these race embedded imbeciles who login with a new name because they were embarrassed about return under the old name knows everything about every one on personal level then pretends it isn’t who it is. Suppressed racist tendencies are insipid issues to deal with that’s why being PC about derogatory allegations is stupid rather allow the racist his avenue to vent his inner suppression than driving it back into the inherent subconscious where it seethes in suppressed states of underlayed malcontents.

18 Mar 2013, 20:52 pm
@Jeraldjay-626:
A big decision. But I’ll more than likely go with the Stormers. Home games become crucial. The Stormers would’ve been sitting on the edge of their seats the way the Saders demolished the Bulls and the spanking the Brumbies gave the Sharks. It’s going to be a huge contest especially if the Brumbies play that no.8 they used against the Sharks.
18 Mar 2013, 21:01 pm
@I am a stormer-627:
There is no way they can perform at the level they played against the Sharks in the 1st half. Was actually beautiful to watch.
Will be an interesting game ’cause the coaches have worked together and each one knows how the other thinks.

I reckon Jake has the upper hand what with the Brumbies now 4 from 4. The Stormers will have to strike early by putting points on the board. There will be some massive hits going in during the first 30 minutes or so.
What’s the humidity like in Cape Town, this time of year?
18 Mar 2013, 21:15 pm
@Jeraldjay-628: AC knows nothing about Fisher, Larkham’s gameplan that bamboozled the Sharks…the Brumbies ripped the Bulls like that at Loftus last year & the bulle were only helped by Marius Jonker & Lourens van der Merwe.

Couple of months back during the Pollard/Bulls debacle.

@blue and white stripes-649:
You are talking like a supporter, not a coach or a player who these days does what they do to put bread on the table.
We would all love for rugby players to do this **** because they just love it – the reality is that major corporate sponsors on schoolboy shirts and for schoolboy rugby festivals and derbies tells you that you don’t even get loyalty at that level anymore.
Loyalty in rugby goes as far as the next guaranteed paycheque.

Bwana Dave, are you ready for more of your urgently required continuing education about the sports and politics and more of my country as your post below seems to suggest.? :
” The WP Federation were mainly coloured players with a few whites from WP. It was a brave attempt at some form of integration and development at a time when apartheid was still the determining factor in rugby.”
Have you also now learnt the lesson about the E.Cape and the W. Cape wrt which is the original home of the non-racial, SACOS-affiliated SARU(as opposed to your neo-racist saru – note lack of capital letters)?
I guess that’s you for this day as you duck and dive the fatal bullets of truth.
18 Mar 2013, 22:50 pm
@PissAnt-651:
I know you cannot be naive about the realities of the professional game but is a fact that players that are loyal to their union/franchise have more fulfilling careers and will leave a legacy for generations to remember.
Carter, McCaw – Crusaders
Os, Juan Smith – Cheetahs
Gregan, Larkam – Brumbies
Naas, Victor – Bulls
JdV, Schalk – WP
Can’t remember any player being loyal to the Sharks.
18 Mar 2013, 22:55 pm
@PissAnt-657:
I must confess that I have never been Jakes fan and I have no reason to believe that all of a sudden he is a great coach. Yes he won the world cup by beating England twice i.e. of the top rugby nations in France. Now he is coaching Brumbies that are doing well certainly no doubt. But, he has not played Saders, Chiefs, Stormers and Kings yet (lol). As Naas would say the Currie cup is never won in April.
If Jake was so good why was he overlooked by so many countries that had vacancies after winning the world cup? Why would those countries not appoint such an accomplished coach? Some perspective.
Do you remember how awful the Boks were just before the 2007 worl cup until Jones joined them?
18 Mar 2013, 22:56 pm
@Peter Mkata-659:
You made some serious errors on the Kings game thread on Friday in respect of such rugby ‘impimpi’ as Morgan Cushe and others like Norman Mbiko and more who played as the ‘national’ Leopards and were from no more than a handful of clubs in W. and E.Cape.
They were sell-outs in their time in exactly the Windies rebels were sell-outs at that time both in the Carribean islands and in S.Africa.
Those comments surprised me as I gave you the title of the book you said you got to read.

18 Mar 2013, 23:17 pm
Bwana Dave so then your words below are a clear indication of what you perceive to be the definition of the noble principle of non-racialism? :
“It was a brave attempt at some form of integration and development ”
You are such a fake when you write ” WP Federation(sic) were mainly coloured players”.
There is absolutely nothing “mainly” about them as Loriston’s Federation was totally racist as it was only for “coloured players” all deliberately and unfortunately rural and unschooled. and easy to therefore fool..
The only 2 things you got correct in that paragraph is the slur and insult of the British inspired ethnic tag “coloured” and you added further insult to those rugby prostitutes by using the lower case letter ‘c’ to that derogatory tag, a label they richly deserved and which correctly and aptly described those rugby sell-outs(‘impimpi’).
18 Mar 2013, 23:21 pm
Barney and Mark Andrews.. those about the only Bokkie Sharkishits I can recall who were loyal to Sharks through it all.. and Tommy Bedford and Wynaand Claassens but they were before the advent of mercenary humping professionalism…
So Stormersboy don’t eat lunch at the cattle baron no more.. I guess that might be the reason for the contrast of opinion between him and tyrannysourpussy rex’s fallout of familiarity lately.
18 Mar 2013, 23:21 pm
@ET.-664:
Hi ET
No thinking South African will deny that or disagree with you. But you must see it in the context of the tthread that evolved into some mini history and feel good kind of a banter. Obviously people were reminiscing about the past and you know our past was basically driven by race.
Those players were certainly on the wrong side of the fence some wittingly and some unwittingly. But surely that does not mean they were not good players. They were victims/benefectors of our recent history.
Taking it a step further Sylvester Clarke for an example was a great bowler and nothing will change that but a mercenary he was no doubt. He suffered till the day he died because of his choices. But where do we cross the line and say now is time to move on. We will never forget it but we must move on.
I saw the documentary on those rebels and I must say it was sad to see some of them. The West Indies board tried to make peace with Lawrence Rowe and you know how the public there reacted.
I ask again when do we move on? The last nonracial SARU president worked with Craven for the good of rugby. It was never perfect union but surely you must start somewhere.
18 Mar 2013, 23:23 pm
@ET.-669:
Bwana Dave the specific purpose of those two games (your “brave attempt”) were merely and only to save and maintain racist rugby sporting links for the English(not Wales or Ireland) against the racist Broerbond controlled boere rugby XV
But Hart had the final hearty laugh eventually for those equallysick minded English rugby union.

@Peter Mkata-671:
Ebrahim Patel is the name.
18 Mar 2013, 23:27 pm
@Peter Mkata-663: Its a continuing saga.. there are really only a handful of people who can recall how pathetic the Boks were performing through 2006-07 before Eddie Jones resurrected their fate and gave White the lifeline he needed to hang his over burdened ego on till his next stage of enlightenment became due and prevalent which is now under the tutelage of the Brumbies boys, Fisher, Larkham, Gregan and George Smith… let’s see just how long this episode of upbeat messiah worship lasts till the next phase of re evaluation kicks in.
18 Mar 2013, 23:40 pm
@Peter Mkata-671:
Pete, I am sorry i do not fraternise with the ‘friend’ of my political enemy who were denying our people the human respect of the universal franchise. Which means too that I do not revel in their mercenary activities which set back our democracy for many more decades.
They were not even 0.001%, yet they set us back many years. For me and those like me, even presently, the principles of the poor workers struggle are never to be diluted.
That discussion was mostly lise and more confused lies and confusion when you allow ignoramuses like David to provide so much miisinformation as he tries to be a smartarse.
I was so sickened right at the onset(unfortunately late my Friday night) that I stopped reading it when I read you disappointing post..
Pete you cannot allow the greatness of players to take you of your principled approach , no matter who they are.
Last year I spoke to many of the Windies players down in Lauderdale when they played against N.Z and they all apologised for the disruption that tour did to our struggle for non-racial sport and life(obviously after I educated them fully to what it did and meant.
All those players were banned for life(I wonder why?).

18 Mar 2013, 23:58 pm
Why should current Windies players apologise for the actions of a bunch of mercenaries who only toured for financial gain? As far as I know the Windies board never approved that venture,so in all essence you are just blowing smoke up your own arse,ET ,going around educating people that should never apologise for the actions of others.Get a life and stop living in a bubble of self-importance .

@blue and white stripes-662:
You do know that Victor played for Griquas, and SR for the Cats, right?
19 Mar 2013, 00:03 am
@Peter Mkata-671:
” I ask again when do we move on? ”
That answer is quite easy to give. We move on when all our correct and noble goals are achieved and not watered down or diluted as we now have in neo-racist rugby where we squeal every time a squad is selected simply because we cannot expect the majority of those Afrikaner franchise presidents and the coaches they insert(mostly Afrikaners at union level) to do the correct thing and not favour their own.
The day when our goals are achieved is the day when there will be opportunity and equality for all who play any sport. The control must be in the hands of the majority people who have been denied for 400 plus years.
I simply cannot trust any group of people who have perpetuated racism for more than 400 years, Sorry, it is as simple as that.
It is Patel but his name is not Ebie(I think Yusuf). That Patel was weak and from a weak Tvl annd JBH. Rugby as a whole was strongest and best organised in the W.Cape and somewhat in the E.Cape(SACOS generated the ideas and HQ was in C.T.) but weak elsewhere hence Craven knew he was working with a weaklink in Patel who took over from th older stronger president who died.
WRT documentaries the well-meaning people who put that together ccould not and did not see things through our eyes. Their comprehension and understanding is not those of the activist. Thus there are huge gaps which lead to confusion. I spoke to a SACOS president 2 months ago in C.T. and pleaded with him and others who know that history of struggle to commit it to book form. The time is long overdue.
19 Mar 2013, 00:04 am
@ET.-675:
ET
I asked the question earlier on – when do we move on and leave what happened in the past. We certainly must learn from it so that it is never repeated.
I am happy you spoke to some of those Windies rebels. I hope Ezra Moseley was one of them, he was my favourate with Sylvester Clarke. It ws nice seeing a Darkie whipping a master. LOL. They were just victims of our history. Now that they saw the wrong of their deeds, have you forgiven them? I am sure your attitude towards them have changed. I understand that there are people who can not forgive them.Fair or unfair is another discussion altogether. Madiba had coffee with tanie Verwoed – was it right or wrong. (just read Amina Cachalia biography called When hope and history rhyme) for another perspective.
In 1981 we used to wake up early in the morning to watch the All Blacks against the Boks in our black and white TV at home. We supported the All blacks because eveyone was supporting them and I knew nothing about politics then. But now things have changed even though I still support the Blacks, it is not for political reasons. It is purely because they play very beautiful rugby.
So ET time is the greatest healer and yes the scabs are sometimes fresh especially when you read the ignorance and hypocrisy in here. That is part of the healing process. We will never always agree but somehow we need to make it work somehow regardless of how painful it is.

See even you express distrust and correctly so. Why? What bothers you?
Does it lie in the hands of those who CONTROL Saru? And why do they control so much? How can anyone ever talk about equality when the economy is owned by one small contending group who were convinced by world capital to cede the political power to the larger group. Of these two contending groups who is the piper and who does the piper pay to sing the tune he calls.
If your struggle for equality and brotherhood for all is based on acceptable principles then you will know your enemy and be a step or two ahead.
That did not happen in Zimbabwe or S.Africa.
The global capitalists bought out both those peoples’ struggle and thus the forever poor workers have to settle for the endemic corruption presently and the corruption of the strive until the rogues are taken care of as a political group.

I wonder what ” last year” means if you write it in March 2013? Does it mean 1999, 2009 or maybe simply 2012?
And which team “of the Windies players down in Lauderdale when they played against N.Z” . would that then be, last year? The 1984 or 1995 or 2005 or just maybe the 2012 Windies team perhaps?

this must be the reason why Jake is “four eyes” now
Healthy dose of work
by Michael Inman – 20/05/12, 3:00 AM
Former Brumbies player Clyde Rathbone
runs a business helping Government
departments with preventative health for
employees.
THE DAYS of popping a pill and soldiering
on in the face of illness could soon be
over, with studies suggesting healthy
workers are more productive workers.
Absenteeism accounts for about $6 billion
in lost productivity in Australia each year.
But presenteeism – attending work in ill
health – was estimated to cost business
about $25 billion each year.
The results have Australian companies
investing in the wellbeing of their staff and
a Canberra business is cashing in on the
preventative health trend.
Health Futures, owned and operated by
former Wallaby star Clyde Rathbone and
wife Carrie, designs workplace health
programs for business and government
departments.
”Most people assume the biggest health-
related cost in the workplace is
absenteeism, but research is showing
presenteeism is worse,” Mr Rathbone said.
”You’re at work but because of illness,
you’re not functioning to full capacity.”
Health Futures’ approach involves
conducting comprehensive health checks of
all staff members, including blood, vision,
lung and blood pressure tests.
A group health report is then presented to
management and a staff health program is
developed.
The program is then reassessed after 12
months and tailored to suit results.
”It’s not that difficult; it’s just about
developing some simple lifestyle strategies
but doing them consistently,” Mr Rathbone
said. Dieticians Association of Australia
spokeswoman Julie Gilbert said a balanced
diet was the quickest and easiest way to
improve health.
It just takes some planning.
”Stop using work as an excuse for making
bad choices,” Ms Gilbert said.
”Most of the mornings, we’re pretty good
because we’re still bright and alert after
breakfast.
”The afternoon is where we can fall into a
trap, just a little bit of planning, like
carrying healthy snacks, will stop the drop
in blood sugar and the munchies coming
through.”
Ms Gilbert said drinking more water,
cutting down on milk and sugar in tea and
coffee, and balancing food groups at lunch
were simple ways to rapidly improve
health.

Look I’m clearly no “kenner”, coz I thought he had the potential to become a Brian O’ Driscoll clone @ #13 – but then various coaches in Aus started playing him on the wing, & then he suffered injuries, depression & personal problems.
And now Jake has offered him a 2nd chance: Who knows what the future holds for him? I hope huge success as a player.

@stormersboy-760:Hi SB, any news on our team?
Is De Allende not at all considered at 11 ? IMO he should be moved to 11 (when JdJ comes in at centre) and Taute to the bench and not the starting line-up.
I’ll keep Joe at 15 – not too sure that he should play on the wing as was predicted by some.
I guess you’re in a better position to tell
19 Mar 2013, 20:51 pm
@CharlesM-763: Hi Charles
From what AC has said it’s either GVDH or Joe P on the wing.
I hope he changes his mind. De Allende would be great on the wing, but I also rate GVDH.
Either way we should be Ok, as long as Joe is in the mix somewhere.
We’ll know tomorrow when he announces his steam, I’ll be there.
19 Mar 2013, 20:59 pm
@CharlesM-763:
I was one who suggested in a reshuffle of the back 3 to move Joe to wing. Maybe.
But after subbing Taute at FB at Loftus, he must be considered the no.1 full back right now. On top of that, he is the no.1 goalkicker. So I would be hesitant to change the position of the goalkicker. Let Taute gight his way back into the team.
I’m still impressed with de Allende at 12. He is slowly growing into that position but still has a lot to learn. The Stormers are starting to get over the gainline, he’s getting passes away behind the tackler creating half gaps etc. I’m a fan.
19 Mar 2013, 20:59 pm

@I am a stormer-765: I agree, De Allende has been improving all the time. The question is, do they keep him at 12 or bring JdJ straight into the starting line-up?
With Habana out there is one spot left in the 22. I guess it depends on Grant’s availability as well (ankle – don’t know how serious it is). If Grant is fit, who will miss out ?
If he isn’t fit all the other guys mentioned should be in the 22
19 Mar 2013, 21:19 pm
@stormersboy-768:
In other news, I see that Hash and AB are now ranked no. 1 and 2 batsmen in both the test rankings as well as ODI’s.
Howzat.
19 Mar 2013, 21:26 pm
@CharlesM-770:
I’d bring in van den Heever in place of Habana. And I would put Juan on the bench. I’m just a believer that a guy coming back from a long term injury comes off the bench getting 20- to 30 mins in order for him to have the confidence in a match situation that he is 100% over the injury.
Same goes for Taute. And leave Grant out of the 22 if he is unfit.
And let Duvenhage to cover 9 and 10 off the bench. With Joe also a back-up 10 if need be.

5) Their driving factor is politics instead of performance.
6) They are not accountable to anybody- despite how many useless decisions and poor executions, they remain in power.
7) They do not appreciate what past players and coaches have to offer.
8) They have done nothing (or almost nothing) for grassroots development of the game.
9) They fiercely guard their power structures, despite their structuires being inherently suited to the modern game – they dismantled the commercial structures set up by Luyt junior – which could have seen more accountability and better business decisions being made.
10) They are generally a bunch of ********.

ET, this crusade that you are on, what is it all about?
Guilty conscience?
Explain to me the difference between you and a guy like Errol Tobias, for example.
Errol, at a time when the freedom movements were trying to isolate white people in SA on all fronts (including on the sport field), decided to play rugby with them for his own benefit.
ET, at a time when the freedom movements were trying to isolate white people in SA on all fronts (including academically), decided to attend one of their “white” universities to better himself academically for his own benefit.
How is what you did different from what he, and others like him, did?
19 Mar 2013, 23:53 pm
@nama1-789:
19 Mar 2013, 23:59 pm
Come on chaps this is the Stormers we talking about, It does not matter who we put on the wing as he will not get the ball!
20 Mar 2013, 00:33 am
@TheTackler-788:
Good to see your name again.
How are you?
20 Mar 2013, 03:11 am
@Jeraldjay-727:
Is this your attempt to save face? Will you be happy if I say you have clawed back 2 inches?
So the passive Joe E. who could not stir up a hornets nest took over from the firebrand and politically smart Frank who had wide appeal.
By that stage the real thinkers ceded it to the UM as everyone knew they had not the will nor guts to take on the ANC desired hegemony through their NSC represented by Stofile and M. George.
Their has never been such trifling notions of “a pioneer”, dummy. It was always a collective, a huge Cape collective though.
You have some of your cricket officials confused though but Howa was there at one stage until he was questioningly asked if he was a sellout as he appeared too accommodating of Ali Bacher in the early initial negotiations..
You do not mention the first ones like the middle-roader, Norman Middleton or other good early ones like MN Pather or Morgan Naidoo.
The 1994 election killed SACOS for all too many trusting people thought that election would herald in a true ‘Democracy”(and it did not) and thus there would be no need for an active on-going organisation.

@ET.-773:
“began” should read begun
20 Mar 2013, 04:02 am
So 725, 728,729, 732,738 – 741 clearly indicate that the sterile, bored , boer-khakicladders of the Ruyterwacht are out in full regalia sucking and sucking and sucking the a-holes for their fantasies of delusions.
Oh the dreams, such fanciful dreams and growing all the while as they are repeated with stunning updates, they are all so wet and so sticky and so miserably uncomfortable for the desperate as I am so unplayable – that’s what sticking to the truth effects
They get the no-contest(battle) wrong they get the genders thereof wrong all in their ‘skinder-stories’ and never at all bored by the repetitiveness for years now as novelty eludes them.
Some get the language and verb wrong. Should “Doed” not truly be DOOD and never a verb in any form?
Note also that big fish-like repetition where what originally started as 10 grew to 15 quickly and with time tripled to 30. Where is the credibility for those whom you want that to be believed?
20 Mar 2013, 04:17 am
Cunther, how can there be a contest of “wits” when the ‘opponent’ is a moronic imbecile who exhibits the following heritable sick traits :
1) no understanding of simple self-respect, self-worth or dignity
2) no demonstration or expression of such qualities mentioned in 1.
3) no ability to understand or follow principles of life hence the jelly-fish like existence or bent reed in any wind
4) no show of being discerning as the maggot clearly creeps up any arsehole for to him all faecal matter are the same and faecal matter is all that matters whether it be soft or hard or somewhere in between.
Seek and put forward a more worthy opponent if you want a contest.
20 Mar 2013, 04:36 am
Cunther-738
You khaki-’ cladders’ clearly, in typical ‘kragdadige’ manner, have little or no understanding of the English-speaking Caribbean people.
I deal with them all on a daily basis whether in Penna or Florida, where their numbers are so large that whole communities of Jamaicans are to be found such as in Miramar, close to the I-595 junction with the I-95.
They are the friendliest, coolest, dont-worry-be-happy group of people I have encountered. This S.African is their hero(together we smartly mock American arrogance esp. with the Olympics) and they have difficulty understanding how culturally close I am to them.
The Garners and Ambroses and Walshes and Bishops and Ezras and Franklins are all gentle giants no matter their size. They are easy to talk to and some older ones sent me copies of old Wisdens.
Your fears and stupidities are like shining beacons of how to mistrust anything not white or pink like you. Fear and the threat of violence haunts you to sickness.
20 Mar 2013, 05:14 am
@KInock-kneesboy-784 @785
Can anybody of your cultural background on this site be more see-through, more plastic, more false, more fake than you?
” not interestING.”
How disingenuous. So lame that and “rhetorical” as you clearly engage in face-saving backtracking.
Yet you found the urgent need to specifically pose a serious question in 776 to me which I, unfortunately for you, blasted right out of the water and damaged your vain ego in the process to the extent that you have to backtrack?
And you are not aware I ignore your every worthless post for months now even as you ‘skinder soos ‘n wasvrou’ ‘ with your B & W minstrel cohorts.
Whenever you palepinkpiggies do not get the response you seek and it reflects negatively on you, the typical ‘fail safe’ excuse of “metaphor” or ” sarcasm” or “tongue in cheek” or “rhetorical” and moreis lamely advanced.
That, stupid, moves me not one iota from reading you all so smartly as fakes and frauds but what can one expect from decades active ‘apartheid’ supporters. How many times have you not voted racist? Why do you have guns in your home if you are so upstanding an Afrikaner?
Now finally, and in conclusion, F – off. I am not interested in communicating with fools like you. Understand that, clearly.
20 Mar 2013, 05:42 am

Okay so don’t communicate then………….do us all a favour and f uk off for good you racist twa t!

Idi Amin maybe closer to the truth though, as I have no doubt you award yourself all sorts of medals/honours in the name of South Africa.
I have to give it to you though. You are amusing. No, not amusing. You are hyfuckingsterical, and the reason I love illnesses of the mind.
20 Mar 2013, 06:29 am
If you know nothing of specific situations how can you dispute it and even less substantiate such.
Mere jealousy it amounts to then.

According to Kings they thought argintina players wouldnt be considered as foreign. Jurie says they will handle the matter quick and quiet. Kings are however facing fines of up to 1 mil.
20 Mar 2013, 06:58 am
Lol thanks
Ok breaking news, just saw on E News the Kings thought that the Argentinian was classified as a local player. Lololololol something about cos the Tri Nations.

No matter what the feelings are about ET….is it really neccessary to constantly bad mouth the oke in his absence? This gang up mentality is out of order in my opinion…..confront him when he is on line, but all this ripping off is like school quad bullying ….do adults really need to carry on like this?

Bismarck on his way back
——————————————————————————–
20 March 2013, 08:56
Springbok hooker Bismarck du Plessis is confident he will return from a lengthy injury layoff by the end of next month.
Du Plessis was injured during a Rugby Championship match between South Africa and Argentina in August, and after undergoing a knee operation, he was told the recovery period was nine months.
“Let me tell you, having a knee operation is no fun. Nine months is a long time,” Du Plessis said.
“Since my injury, I have even more respect for a guy like Butch James who has been through big knee injuries about five times, if I am not mistaken.
“Nine months — this is the recovery period I was given by my doctors –is round about end of April but I don’t want to put a time on my return to play as it might be quicker or a little slower.
“My knee feels great so I am positive that I will return within the nine-month period.”
While sidelined with injuries, it is not uncommon for professional athletes to engage in activities for which they would usually not have the time.
For the Sharks forward, however, the only place he wants to be is on a rugby field.
“There has not been a single advantage (to being injured) from my point of view. Every game I miss is a game lost forever,” Du Plessis said.
“I feel like a kid who is not allowed to play outside in the middle of a beautiful summer’s day.”
The role of the hooker in professional rugby has evolved to the point that they now take on responsibilities traditionally associated with the loose-trio, beyond their typical duties in set-pieces and at the tackle area.
Du Plessis, the epitome of this modern mould, said spending a significant amount of time on the bench helped him shape his attitude so he could fulfill that role.
“I really made the mind shift while sitting on the bench for many games. If you play only 20 or 30 minutes you work on every minute little detail to make a big impact in the little time you have,” he said.
“I always had good anticipation and used this to good effect to be at the breakdown at the right time, to try and slow down the opposition’s ball or bring about a turnover.”
Du Plessis hoped that by doing this, he would one day be able to have the same impact over 80 minutes.
“Plum (Sharks coach John Plumtree) really helped to develop my game when he came from New Zealand so I have to thank him for assisting me in improving my standards.”
Professional rugby careers last only a finite number of seasons, and Du Plessis has sought ways of using his B.Comm degree and keeping his mind active for when his retirement day arrives.
Until then, however, he just wants to enjoy the game he loves.
“I would love to play rugby till I die of old age one day, but we all know that is not possible… maybe one day I can raise my family next to my brother on our farm. That is my dream,” he said.
“I do have our farming business which keeps me busy and which seems set up well to be a sustainable enterprise for decades to come.
“I also work as a broker which keeps my days busy and hopefully keeps my brain active.”
Asked whether he would consider a move overseas, Du Plessis said it was an option to consider when the time was right, but for now, his main priority was getting back onto the field for the Super Rugby campaign.
“I would love to be exposed to new cultures so maybe if the time is right I would consider playing abroad.
“For now my main focus is to get fit and just play rugby to the best of my ability.”
20 Mar 2013, 09:57 am
Grant he was on here. Then he went to bed. Plus he started it…just saying.
20 Mar 2013, 10:00 am
@grant10-830: Every Sharks supporter can’t wait for Bissie to come back.
I tell you Grant, had we had Bissie start on Saturday with Alberts we would never have gone down so badly to the Brumbies. Also to be honest, had he played for us in the CC final my feeling we would have won it. Our lineouts were a mess without him and Deon had free reign at the breakdowns. Losing Bissie is like losing 3 players at once. He is that type of player. Huge loss for Sharks this year.
Now coming back end of April the SR is almost over. If Sharks are hangning in there then I feel the injured players coming back will be so motivated, if we are lagging behind like last year and have to play catch up I somehow doubt even these players will be as motivated. Doubt any player wants to travel the globe againt 3 times in 3 weeks. It must have been tough on their bodies. So do hope the Sharks can hang in there until our big players are back.
20 Mar 2013, 10:01 am
‘ Plus he strated it ‘
I rest my case….juvenile man…..
Just ignore those who so badly irritate you….far easier than getting into these endless barrages of insults…..ET is farking you okes up 6 love by stoking your fires…….
20 Mar 2013, 10:01 am
@Puma-832:
hangning = hanging
20 Mar 2013, 10:02 am
@Puma-832: You know how I feel about Bissy Puma….the best hooker on the planet, bar none….a beast! Cant wait for him to get back….great , great player
20 Mar 2013, 10:06 am
@grant10-835: He is a huge loss for us this year. A massive player to lose. Even though we lost Alberts I thought with Deysel there we were just fine, now he is out injured as well. Deysel sometimes for me even a better player as he can also be good on the deck as well. Was at his very best when he picked up that ankle injury. Took Deysel a very long time to get back to that level. Remember he had a similar injury to Bissie was out for about 10 months after his op. Will take Bissie a few games to get back as well. That is understandable. Also looking forward to Whitehead coming back. Just hope by that time we don’t have more injuries as Jannie has picked up a injury this past week as well it seems.
20 Mar 2013, 10:11 am
http://www.rugby365.com/article/52730-kings-pumas-are-not-foreigners
I hate the Kings more and more. It is clear from the outset they were not going to honour the rules of SARU that says you can’t have more than 2 foreign players in your team.
So it seem the Kings think they are special and are above the rules.
I ask again, why do they need to contract all these foreign players if one of the drums they kept on endlessly banging away on is giving the masses of black players scorned by the the other unions from the EC a chance to play?
20 Mar 2013, 10:11 am
@grant10-835: Another thing not sure why Sharks took so long to eventually decide for Alberts to have his Shoulder Op? He had it since late last year. I know one should wait until very certain to do a op, but one week before the SR starts? They should have known in January already he needed it. Now he has missed 5 weeks of this tourney and probably this week then the bye. That will be 7 weeks until we can have him back. Last year too we missed Alberts from the start he only started playing late into the tourney same withe Beast. We only truly came right once we got Beast and Alberts back. Some players just can’t be replaced. Deysel and Alberts very similar if we have one of them all fine, but last year too we never had Deysel at the start.
Now hoping no more injuries to any of our players that means none from any of our franchises as we also need them later for the Boks. SR is just way too long.
20 Mar 2013, 10:14 am
@Puma-838: Far too long …..Sharks having a nightmare disruption of key players…..feel for them.
20 Mar 2013, 10:17 am
@grant10-839: I hope we hang in there until all our players are back. Even if he have to play boring rugby until our full team are back. As I know once our full team are back we will play far better rugby than we are right now. So far we are hanging in. However, if we lose this weekend then we in trouble as that will be two games lost at home.
I am not that positive against the Rebels after our poor showing of last week. Just hope we can correct it.
20 Mar 2013, 10:22 am
@grant10-839: Sharks must play with the youngsters this week. Psdt, Cooper and Herbst. Think we then will have Dell on the bench as Jannie it seemed picked up a injury. With Bosman starting at inside centre this week think we will see more tries. Well think we will, he does not hog the ball and Jordaan and the wings will see more ball this week I feel.
Pity Ludik picked up a injury hope he is back after the bye. Fransie will find his groove again I am sure of it and playing him at fb good thinking by Plum there. It will help Fransie find form. Still rate Ludik as our best fb though, so keeping fingers crossed he is back after the bye.

Transie don’t tell me how and why and whatever to do things, if you don’t care for what I like scroll past.
Like I said lots of noise and only got the gist of it….
20 Mar 2013, 16:55 pm
And they are so desperate, but stupidly so, these Ruyterwachters that they blatantly confirm their fantasies are all based on mere fiction.
Yet the currency I deal in is the historical facts of S.A sports and politics and sports politics.
Since I constantly outbid them guess who has the most valuable currency?
Some clearly see ghosts too for where I write “English-speaking Caribbean people” their twisted mind reads West Indies cricket team. Why?
They never focus on the substance, can they process it at all?
Where are the ‘adult’, genuine counters to the facts provided? Why this need to constantly lie. Is it a remnant of the culture of ‘apartheid’ and its accompanying lies, lies and more lies and then guns, bullying and finally violence?
