    Kings’ suspected rule breach to be investigated

    The South African Rugby Union (SARU) has established an investigation into a suspected breach of SARU’s Vodacom Super Rugby participation agreement by the Southern Kings.

    Jurie Roux, CEO of SARU, contacted Cheeky Watson, the chairman of the Kings board, on Tuesday to advise him of the inquiry and also to caution him against any potential breaches.

    The matter was discussed by an emergency teleconference of the Executive Council (Exco) of SARU on Tuesday. The Exco, in accordance with the SARU Disciplinary and Judicial Regulations, decided to appoint a judicial sub-committee to investigate the allegation.

    In the event of a breach being proved there is a wide range of sanctions available, starting from a caution to a maximum fine of R1m or a recommendation to the General Council to suspend or expel the offending organisation.

    Ek onthou Carel Du Plessis se sister het kom aflos as proef onderwyseres een kwartaal, en sy was moers mooi en natuurlik ons hero se sussie, so daai paar klasse was ons heel voor in ons PT broekies, maar die res van die tyd gegyppo.
    Tik was moeilik ****, n liniaal oor die vingers is bleddie seer, maar beter as n 2X4 plank oor die gat

    come on Transie, the Lions look good to go so far into their Challenge series and while the Kings may be playing some good rugby at the moment, they were some good rugby in the CC promo/releg also.

    i just think they’re still too strong for you guy but the gap is narrowing. this time next year Kings should be ready for a genuine challenge.

    on the bright side, it gives Cheeky enough time to sort the ‘affirmative seating’ arrangement at the Slaghuis out :lol:
