Cobus Reinach has been called up to the Springbok training camp currently taking place in Cape Town.
Reinach’s inclusion comes at the expense of the Jano Vermaak, who picked up a grade one hamstring strain in the Bulls’ win over the Cheetahs. Vermaak and Francois Hougaard were the two scrumhalves in the group, and with both now injured it was decided to call up the young Sharks nine.
Reinach has been keeping regular starting scrumhalf Charl McLeod on the bench with consistent performances. He was one of the few bright lights in the Sharks loss to the Stormers, seemingly being the only player to break the strong Stormers defence.
