Kahui done in New Zealand
The worst was confirmed when Richard Kahui revealed that his shoulder injury is serious enough to require surgery.
Kahui ripped muscle from bone on the very same shoulder that has left him on the sidelines in the past, and with surgery required this week, will take no further part in Super Rugby.
Kahui joins up with Toshiba Brave Lupus after completion of the Super Rugby season.
Highlanders tour without Nonu
The Highlanders tour squad has been announced which excluded Ma’a Nonu, who misses out due to a knee injury.
Nonu missed the Highlanders’ first win of the season against the Sharks and failed to recover in time to make the trip to South Africa. They will face the Kings and Bulls in the Republic, before stopping in Australia to face the Force.
The Highlanders have been battling the injury curse this season, as ten injured players are left at home to recover, including the likes of Kade Poki, Buxton Popoalii and Lima Sopoaga.
