McCaw’s return imminent?
Richie McCaw could return for the Crusaders’ last two matches after the International break.
McCaw took part in his first weights training this week, and will gradually work on his own fitness as his sabbatical comes to an end in June. McCaw has not ruled out playing the two matches against the Chiefs and Hurricanes in July.
McCaw hinted that he would get back to fitness and then it is a matter of Todd Blackadder selecting him when needed.
Keven keen for Crusaders clash
Keven Mealamu returns to the Blues starting team to face the Crusaders this weekend.
Keven is one of several changes made by coach John Kirwan. Newly selected All Black Francis Saili drops to the bench in favour of Jackson Willison, returning from injury after an ankle sprain.
On the bench, prop Sam Prattley could make his debut after being called into the squad earlier this season.
The Blues have not beaten the Crusaders in Christchurch in nine years, and will fancy their chances this year.
