Rory Kockott’s match winning Top 14 final performance has not been enough to warrant inclusion in the Bok squad. Instead Stormers Louis Schreuder is the latest No 9 to join the Boks.
Schreuder replaces injured Francois Hougaard, who has been ruled out of the current quadrangular series because of a knee injury.
Schreuder is the fourth scrumhalf to be selected for the Boks this month after starting scrumhalf Jano Vermaak got injured and was replaced by Cheetahs Piet van Zyl.
Ulster-based Ruan Pienaar will start against Scotland on Saturday.
Schreuder this season played as understudy to Nic Groom and Dewaldt Duvenhage at the Stormers but in the last month was the first choice Stormers halfback.
Kockott was sensational for Castres in the 19-14 Top 14 final win against Toulon in Paris and was the consistently good for the French club.
What do you think. Has Heyneke got this one right or does Kockott deserve to be ranked higher than the four scrumhalves already selected?
