Dan Carter hummed in the Crusaders 43-15 humiliation of the Chiefs in Christchurch.
Carter, who missed the first two Tests against France, has been brilliant for the Crusaders in the last two weekends and was again inspirational against the Chiefs.
Much was made of his battle against his All Blacks understudy Aaron Cruden but Carter again showed all the touches of a player who consistently has been the best in his position in the last decade.
Carter kicked seven from nine to become the first player in Super Rugby history to go past 1500 points.
Carter, in his first season in Super Rugby, did minimal goalkicking because Andrew Mehrtens was the goalkicker and this season has shared goalkicking duties with Tom Taylor. Both Carter and Taylor are averaging 85 percent success rate this season.
