74min – Pretorius kicks his third drop goal to give the Boks a crucial eight-point lead.
73min – Steyn goes for a drop goal from 55m out and it falls just short.
72min – Januarie breaks down the blindside and kicks ahead for Rossouw, but Cohen is there to save England.
71min – Yet another England attack breaks down, this time after a forward pass. Passes aren’t going to hand and players are running the wrong lines. They may have all the ball, but they aren’t doing anything with it.
70min – SUB: Van den Berg on.
67min – SUB: Carstens and Britz on.
67min – England’s line-out ball comes back to hooker Mears who is stopped just before the line. Three players try to get over, before Goode’s cross kick is well taken by Steyn and the Boks get a scrum.
65min – The Boks are penalised again and Goode finds a perfect touch, 5m out from the Bok tryline.
63min – England work their way into the Bok half, but are driven backwards and concede the scrum.
60min – England get another penalty and this time kick for the corner. From the line-out, Goode sends a cross kick to the right-hand corner, which is taken briefly by Cueto in the air who then knocks the ball forward. Lucky escape for the Boks.
57min – The Boks bash it up again, but Muller and Botha are penalised for coming in from the side. Goode’s kick shaves the left-hand upright (3/6).
55min – The Boks are penalised for taking down the scrum. Goode’s 52m penalty kick goes just right of the posts (3/5).
52min – Olivier kicks for Ndungane. A bad bounce sees the ball bounce off Lewsey’s hands and back to Ndungane, but the referee rules the Boks knocked on.
51min – The Boks attack again from a line-out. De Villiers kicks a grubber, which is picked up by Ceuto who finds a great touch inside the Bok half. Steyn takes the quick throw and wins a penalty for the Boks.
49min – Pretorius goes for a third drop goal, which turns into a poor grubber.
49min – SUB: Moody, Perry and Kay come onto the field.
48min – The Boks kick into England’s 22, and Olivier charges down Lewsey’s kick, which fortunately bounces back into the fullback’s hands.
46min – Rossouw breaks away from the line-out, before Pretorius slots his second drop goal.
45min – Januarie’s kicks down the touchline, and Cueto touches it before it goes into touch.
44min – Steyn kicks for the corner, but it bounces on the line and play comes back for an England line-out.
43min – Goode’s up-and-under is collected by Steyn, and Pretorius finds touch inside England’s half.
42mn – Goode kicks deep into the Bok 22. Steyn keeps it in play, throws the dummy and offloads to De Villiers who runs through a huge hole, taking play into England’s half. De Villiers’s pass finds an opposition player, however, and England run the ball back at the Boks, and win a line-out.
41min – Rossouw runs the ball into the England half after poor kick from Goode. Smith finds space, but his pass to Januarie is knocked on.
40min – Januarie breaks right from the scrum and is high tackled, but the referee does nothing. The Boks recycle possession and go left. Pretorius throws a brilliant skip pass to Van der Linde, who controls the ball and scores his first Test try. Pretorius converts (4/4).
39min – The Boks attack from the scrum. Habana makes as if he’s going for the drop goal, but holds on and is swamped by defenders. Boks get another scrum.
38min – A powerful driving run from Smith takes the Boks up to England’s 5m line. De Villiers dives for the tryline, but is held up by Vickery. The TV referee awards a 5m scrum.
37min – Lewsey kicks an up-and-under and puts massive pressure on Januarie. The ball bounces back on England’s side but they’re pinned for accidental obstruction.
35min -Palmer is penalised for pulling down the maul. Pretorius adds another three points (3/3).
34min – The Boks take the ball left to Habana who kicks along the left-hand touchline towards the tryline. Only desperate defence from Cohen prevents Habana from scoring a try.
31min – Sanderson loses possession from the kick-off and the Boks get a penalty. Pretorius kicks the three points (2/2).
29min – England win the line-out and drive their way forward. Goode puts in a cross kick to the right-hand side that is knocked back to Tait who is stopped inches short, before Cueto plants the ball over the tryline. TV replays show Cueto lost the ball forward.
28min – Steyn tries a chip ahead inside his own 22, straight to Correy who charges up and looks set to pass to Cohen for the try. However, De Villiers intercepts again and saves a certain five points.
25min – The Boks win a free kick from the scrum and take the quick tap. Several of the forwards bash it up before Januarie spots a half-gap. The ball goes wide to Floors on the right who opts not to pass to Ndungane. The Boks go left this time, but the log skip pass sees them knock on.
24min – Tait attacks again and offloads to Lewsey on the cutback. De Villiers goes for the intercept but knocks on.
22min – England win the line-out and set up the driving maul, before kicking to Habana, who takes contact. The Boks knock on.
21min – Lewsey breaks through the Bok defence, but a South African hand rips the ball away in the tackle. The Boks find touch inside England’s half.
20min – Cohen breaks away down the right-hand touchline, after good hands from Tait. Goode’s drop goal attempt goes wide.
17min – Goode launches an up-and-under, which the Boks fail to take. The ball bounces back into England hands and they’re awarded a penalty seconds later at the breakdown. Goode kicks another penalty (3/3).
14min – Januarie’s pass bounces in no-mans land, but Olivier picks it up and bursts through a gap before being tackled. The Boks take it left to Habana, before Pretorius kicks a drop goal.
13min – The Boks take the ball through several phases before Pretorius finds a good touch inside England’s 22. England win the line-out and good finds touch on the halfway line.
11min – Richards spots a gap and is brought down 5m out from the Bok tryline. The referee indicates advantage to England, as Vickery takes it up another metre before the movement breaks down. The whistle goes and Goode kicks his second penalty (2/2).
8min – The Boks win the line-out, but break down in midfield. Pretorius, going backwards, kicks for touch, but Cohen takes the quick throw-in and England counter-attack. The Boks win possession back, but are penalised for going off their feet. That’s the Boks’ fourth penalty conceded in eight minutes.
7min – Goode kicks a grubber into the Bok half that Steyn collects. England penalised for hands at the breakdown.
6min – Pretorius’s restart goes over the deadball line. Scrum to England on the halfway line.
5min – England set up the driving maul and gain 30m before taking it wide. Cueto breaks away down the right-hand touchine, and is tackled. The Boks are penalised for playing an England man without the ball and Goode kicks the first points of the game (1/1).
3min – Goode chips over the Bok defence, but Januarie covers well and Steyn boots the ball downfield. Habana is penalised for diving on Goode, who takes the ball over his tryline. Goode relieves the pressure. Bad mistake by Habana.
2min – Boks win their first line-out and Olivier is tackled. Steyn takes the ball at first receiver but is penalised for holding on. Goode finds touch inside the Bok half
1min – Steyn goes for a long drop goal which falls well short. Goode finds touch.
