Frolick in for Willemse

Lions coach Loffie Eloff has brought in wing Shandré Frolick in the only change to the team to face the Chiefs.

The inclusion of Frolick is due to Ashwin Willemse’s shock retirement as Eloff opted to make the straight swap instead of re-shuffling the back three and possibly including Earl Rose at fullback. Uncapped utility back Deon van Rensburg comes onto the bench to fill Frolick’s void.

It was earlier reported that scrumhalf Jano Vermaak would be rotated with Chris Jonck and that Willem Alberts may replace Ernst Joubert at No 8, but Eloff has decided against making any other alterations.
