White doesn’t want O’Connor

White doesn’t want O’Connor

The Brumbies have dismissed rumours that they are in line to sign Rebels flyhalf / fullback James O’Connor.

O’Connor made a high profile switch from the Force at the end of last season, after the Force and the Brumbies fought it out for his signature. This time around, the Brumbies are not getting involved.

Reports suggest that O’Connor is unhappy with the Rebels and wants to make a move away from the team, either back to the Force or to the Brumbies. The Brumbies though, have denied talking to the player.

Force gain a wing

The Force have snapped up Reds winger Luke Morahan for their 2014 Super Rugby season.

Morahan, who is reportedly unhappy at the Reds for having to play off the bench, has made the switch to the Force in an attempt to cement his place as a regular starter and add to his single Wallaby cap.

Morahan is behind Digby Ioane and Rod Davies in the selection order at the Reds, and even though he has started the last week’s match against the Highlanders, Ioane’s return will see him once again drop to the bench.
