Crusaders crush Reds

The Crusaders were brutal in dismantling the Reds 38-9 in Christchurch.

The hosts, who had lost three of their last four Super Rugby matches against Ewen McKenzie’s Reds, were rampant from the first whistle in a one-sided contest.

Dan Carter was brilliant at flyhalf, but his forwards were the key to the victory. To a man they were superior in every thing they did.

Richie McCaw also made his return to Super Rugby. The All Blacks captain played the last 15 minutes.

The Saders, who scored four tries and had two disallowed by the TMO, led 21-6 at halftime.

Carter scored 20 points and was subbed with 10 minutes to go.
