Piri’s back in black

Piri Weepu is back in the All Blacks squad and Richie McCaw will travel in the hope of playing against the Springboks at Ellis Park.

Weepu replaces injured scrumhalf TJ Perenara as the third scrumhalf in the squad.

McCaw won’t be considered for the Test against the Pumas in Argentina but will work with the All Blacks medical team in Argentina.

If he is not deemed fit enough after the week in Argentina then Crusaders flank Matt Todd will be flown to Johannesburg. McCaw would return to New Zealand.

Aaron Cruden and Tom Taylor have been added to the squad. Cruden is expected to start at flyhalf.
