Province march on

Western Province’s Currie Cup march to the play-offs survived a late Griquas onslaught in Cape Town.

Province won 19-13 but it would have been an injustice had the visitors won.

Griquas scored the night’s opening try and led 10-6 late in the first half before Province scrumhalf Nic Groom’s try gave the hosts a lead they would keep till the end.

Conditions were awful because of the rain and four league points was a good return under the circumstance.
