Israel Folau scored three tries as the Wallabies pumped the Pumas 54-17 in Rosario.

The visitors led 25-3 after 30 minutes and changed ends 25-10 ahead.
The second half was as decisive for the Wallabies and Folau completed his hattrick early in the second half.

RUN OF PLAY (AS IT HAPPENED)
80 ARGENTINA 17 AUSTRALIA 54
80 CONVERSION, FOLEY. 17-54. Wow, that scoreline does seem a bit harsh on Australia, but this is Test rugby and errors will be punished. Thanks for joining us, it’s time for a cold one. cheers!
78 TRY, AUSTRALIA, FOLEY. 17-52. Oh, so harsh on Argentina. Amorosino makes a break but his offload goes to ground just a few metres short of the tryline. The Wallabies pounce and Foley races home from a long, long way out.
76 CONVERSION, FOLEY. 17-47. First points in Test rugby for Foley.
74 TRY, AUSTRALIA, ROBINSON. 17-45. Great break from Michael Hooperm who bolts 20m. The support is up quickly and two phases later Benn Robinson crashes over.
70 The Wallabies are sticking to their structures and looking dangerous. Foley throws a few decent passes with his first few touches. A handful of reset scrums in centre field slows the game right down though. Wayne Barnes pings Argentina for a crooked feed.Eh? How is that consistent?
66 Cooper misses conversion. Bernard Foley on for his Test debut off the bench as Felipe Contepomi is given a standing ovation as he leaves exits the field of a Test match for the last time.
64 TRY, AUSTRALIA, TOMANE. 17-40. The Pumas shoot themselves in the foot as Imhoff breaks but throws a loose pass. It ricochets off Bosch’s feet, Tomane picks it up and sprints 50m to score the Wallabies’ fifth try!
62 Into the final quarter we go. This is where the Pumas usually run out of steam. They need to keep charging if they want to pull this one out of the fire.
60 Great passing and offloading by Matera and Imhoff opens the Wallaby defence. But it comes to nothing as Folau stands his ground to snatch it in the air. Argentina keep coming though, this game isn’t over by a long way.
58 Hang on one second! How Martin Landajo just got away with repeatedly stomping on Adam Ashley-Cooper’s hand is behond me…The TMO can clearly see the scrum-half stomping away (after the whistle) but recomends nothing more than a warning!
56 PENALTY, AUSTRALIA, COOPER. 17-35. Easy three points from right in front.
54 Cooper finds touch. The Wallabies look to attack up centre field. The ball goes to ground…but the Wallabies win a penalty at scrum time! Cooper lines it up.
52 Argentina kick into the corner but make a hash of the line-out. Horwill snaps it up and Genia punts it up field. The Pumas try to counter but give away a penalty on the deck for hanging on.
51 YELLOW CARD, AUSTRALIA, SIMMONS. A no-arm, late hit on Contepomi earns Rob Simmons 10 minutes in the bin.
50 CONVERSION, SANCHEZ. 17-32. Easy conversion.
49 TRY, ARGENTINA, LANDAJO. 15-32. The Pumas hit back after Bosch opens up the Wallaby defence again. A few phases later the Aussies run out of numbers and the scrum-half can snipe over from short range.
47 Play takes a break after Juan Manuel Leguizamon face plants the deck and needs a moment to regather himself. On come Agustin Creevy and Matias Diaz.
46 Argentina need to open up to get back into this game, which does not suit their style at all. If anything it’s playing into the hands of the Wallabies, who are happy to counter punch.
43 CONVERSION, COOPER. 10-32. Easy extras for Quade Cooper, who has taken over the kicking durties from Lealiifano, who was replaced by Toomua at the interval.
42 TRY, AUSTRALIA, FOLAU. 10-30. Hat-trick for Folau!!! The full-back jinks his way over from short range. Perfect start to the second half for Australia. That should be good enough for the win.
41 Here we go for the second half! Can the Pumas drag themselves back into this one? The Wallabies start strongly and are playing the pressure in the Argentina 22.
40 ARGENTINA 10 AUSTRALIA 25
40 It’s a helter-skelter end to the half as the Pumas push for another try by the hooter brings an end to proceedings. Australia have cashed in on every half-chance.
38 CONVERSION, SANCHEZ. 10-25.
37 TRY, ARGENTINA, BOSCH! 8-25. What a reply from Argentina as Bosch cuts back in on the angle and punishes the Wallabies for some soft defending to race home!
36 CONVERSION, LEALIIFANO. 3-25
35 TRY, AUSTRALIA, FOLAU. 3-23. The Pumas are bleeding points with a man in the sin bin. Izzy Folau goes on a slaloming run to ghost over for his second try!
34 TRY, AUSTRALIA, ASHLEY-COOPER. 3-18. The gap grows even wider. Great work from Israel Folau, who creates the chance with a dummer and then an offload. Genia provied the link to AAC, who scores in the corner. Lealiifano misses the conversion.
34 Adam Ashley-Cooper scores in the corner! Or does he? The ref goes to the TMO to check if there was a knock-on by Joe Tomane on the opposite side of the field…
32 PENALTY, AUSTRALIA, LEALIIFANO. 3-13. Good kick from the centre.
31 YELLOW CARD, MATERA. Huge blow for los Pumas who lose their top tackler for a no-arms hit on Scott Fardy, who has sprinting towards the line.
29 PENALTY, ARGENTINA, SANCHEZ. 3-10. Straight down the middle. Fernandez Lobbe and referee Barnes have an argument over the lack of a card…
27 The Pumas are looking very dangerous here with a series of offloads to bog runners down the centre of the field after Bosch intercepts. Penalty against Horwill for offside.
25 PENALTY, AUSTRALIA, LEALIIFANO. 0-10. Slipper returns from the sin bin, Argentina have not been able to cash in on the numerical adavantage.
23 A bit of kick tennis ends in a line-out to Australia inside the Pumas half. Genia is unlocking the home defence and Argentina give away a penalty right in front.
21 Oh wow! Argentina break out with some wonderful offloading from inside their own half. Marcelo Bosch and Juan Imhoff combining. But the penalty goes to Australia on their own 22 as Farias Cabello goes off his feet at the breakdown.
20 Finally Hernandez can clear and finds touch on halfway.
19 What a psychological turnaround for the Aussies who are now on the attack in the Pumas’ 22. Strong defence from the hosts, who are under pressure from the speed of the Wallaby movement.
17 The Wallabies get out of jail! The Pumas scrum drives forward but the back row leaves the ball behind. Hooper breaks off and picks it up. Genia clears! Hernandez tries to counter but the penalty goes against Argentina at the next breakdown.
16 YELLOW CARD, AUSTRALIA, SLIPPER. The Wallabies loose man, but there is no penalty try. On comes Benn Robinson.
14 A reset cause the scrum wasn’t straight. Then another penalty because the Wallabies went early.
13 Ben Alexander goes down. Wayne Barnes warns the Wallabies, another collapsed scrum and someone goes to the bin.
12 The ball comes out. The Pumas keep it tight and try drive over. Another penalty, the hosts go for another scrum.
10 Penalty to Argentina. Surprise, surprise…they ask for another scrum down in the corner.
9 Oh! Close one. Cooper has to race back to dot down in-goal after a chip ahead from Hernandez. 5m scrum to los Pumas. This could mean trouble.
7 The Wallabies are on fire here. Tomane and Cooper in particular are causing trouble. The Wallabies even hold their own at the first scrum.
5 CONVERSION, LEALIIFANO. 0-7. Great kick from out wide!
4 TRY, AUSTRALIA, FOLAU. 0-5! What a start for the Wallabies! Genia and Cooper draw the defenders infield, space is created out wide and Folau can race over in the corner! Perfect start…
2 Argentina have a go down Joe Tomane’s channel early on but get bumped into touch. After the line-out it’s Tomane we replies with a break up centre field to start a promising attack.
1 Here we go! Argentina kick us off. The Wallabies take it in. A short maul is followed by a punt for territory.
0 What a moment for Felipe Contepomi as he sings his national anthem for the last time in a Pumas jersey. This place is about to explode. Here we go!
0 Scrum-half Will Genia’s promotion to the Wallabies run-on side, at the expense of Nic White, is the only change to Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie’s starting line-up after last weekend’s 28-8 defeat against the Springboks in Cape Town.
0 Argentina have been hit hard by the loss of tighthead prop Juan Figallo, who has been replaced in the side by Racing M?tro man Juan Pablo Orlandi. In the backs veteran centre Felipe Contepomi has been recalled, replacing Santiago Fernandez and Horacio Agulla in for Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino on the wing.
0 Hola! Welcome to Gigante de Arroyito Stadium in Rosario. It’s crunch time for Argentina and Australia. Los Pumas are chasing their first win in the Rugby Championship while the Aussies are hoping to avoid the humiliation of finishing last in 2012. Kick off is approaching, don’t go away.
