Why Jaden deserves to start at 9
Jacques Nienaber has rewarded form over reputation in picking Jaden Hendrikse for Saturday’s series decider against Wales in Cape Town, writes Mark Keohane.
I always love chatting rugger with Iconic Lion and Welsh midfielder Scott Gibbs. His insights are as potent as his performances were in his 58 Tests for Wales and his 15 matches over three tours were for the Lions.
Gibbs, when chatting to him for SA Rugby Magazine, said he would have started with De Klerk. He explained his thinking in our video.
I disagree.
I don’t believe Faf has played consistently well in England’s Premier League. I also don’t believe Herschel Jantjies has played consistently well in the URC for the DHL Stormers. Equally, while I believe Grant Williams is talented, but right now I would not start him in a Test.

Sc0tt and I, in the video, banter about the Boks selection. What he thinks is on point and what I think is on point.
Most significantly, as you are the heartbeat of the Boks every Saturday, what do you think is on point?
Have a watch, have a listen and let us know.
