Blitzboks remain top of table, while Fiji take Vancouver crown
The Blitzboks maintain a comfortable eight point lead on the World Series standings despite failing to win the Vancouver 7s.
Fiji, who knocked the Blitzboks out of contention in a 15-12 semi final, were ultimate victors at the Vancouver 7s, with their 31-12 win over Kenya in the final.
The Blitzboks battled it out with the USA for third place and won comfortably, 29-7, claiming bronze and retaining their lead of the World Series table. The Blitzboks placed 4th in the Las Vegas Seven and now third in the Vancouver tournament, however they still remain comfortable table leaders, eight points ahead of second place Fiji, after six rounds of the World Sevens Series.

While the ability to still lead the table after two non-appearances in the last two tournament’s finals is impressive, the Blitzbopks will have to step it up for Hong Kong in order to ensure they remain comfortably at the top. Fiji are gaining form on traction as they have moved up from 79 to 101 points since the Las Vegas 7s
