England centre Joseph signs Bath renewal
England centre Jonathan Joseph has signed a contract extension with Premiership side Bath.
The 27-year-old, who earlier this week was added to England’s training squad for their Six Nations opener against Ireland, joined Bath from London Irish in 2013.
Joseph’s new deal – the length of which has not been disclosed – ends rumours over his future, with Bristol Bears and Northampton Saints having been linked with his signature.
The 40-cap international returned from a long-term ankle injury last week and, upon agreeing the renewal, thanked Bath for their role in helping him back to fitness.
“I’m really excited about my future with Bath,” he said. “I want to say thank you to everyone at the club who has put in the time and focus in getting me back out on the pitch.
Shout out to @Jonathanjoseph0 who has signed a new deal with @bathrugby

“One of my main reasons for staying with Bath is that I believe in everything we want to achieve together as a squad and how we plan to get there.”
