Ford among seven departing Edinburgh
Edinburgh have confirmed that seven players will leave the club at the end of the Pro14 season, with Ross Ford among them.
Scotland veteran Ross Ford is among seven players whose imminent departures from Edinburgh have been confirmed by the club.
Hooker Ford, his country’s most capped player with 110 appearances, will leave Edinburgh at the end of the season having so far played 197 times for the Pro14 outfit, whom he joined in 2007.
Fellow Scotland internationals Tom Brown and Luke Hamilton will also head for the exit door, along with Sean Kennedy.
It had already been confirmed that Allan Dell, Nathan Fowles and Senitiki Nayalo would move on, having agreed deals with new clubs.

“We first and foremost want to thank all the departing players for their hard work, commitment and professionalism during their time at the club,” said head coach Richard Cockerill.
“They all leave with our utmost respect and we wish them all the best in their future rugby endeavours.”
Of 34-year-old Ford, he added: “Fordy is, and will go down in history as, one of the great Edinburgh and Scotland players. He’s a credit to the game with his work ethic, both on and off the pitch, while his playing record speaks for itself.
“I’ve got no doubt that he will be a success in whatever he decides to do in the future.”
