Glasgow down Leinster in Dublin, Connacht seal play-off spot
Glasgow Warriors celebrated the news that head coach Dave Rennie will stay at the club by securing a famous win over Leinster in Dublin.
Glasgow Warriors closed in on a home Pro14 semi-final with an impressive 39-24 bonus-point victory at Leinster, while Connacht sealed a play-off place at the expense of Cardiff Blues on Saturday.
The Warriors capped a week in which head coach Dave Rennie signed a new contact with a famous win in Dublin to return to the top of Conference A with one match of the regular season to play.
Tommy Seymour plucked a floated pass from Adam Hastings before scoring just before half-time to give Glasgow a 18-12 lead, with Sam Johnson also scoring either side of tries from brothers Dave and Rob Kearney.
The European and Pro14 champions were back in front after the Kearney siblings helped themselves to doubles, but Glasgow came storming back to win it with tries from Matt and Zander Fagerson before George Horne put the icing on the cake.
Rennie’s side will face rivals Edinburgh at Scotstoun in a fortnight knowing a victory will seal home advantage in the last four.

Connacht are assured of third place in Conference A and a play-off spot following a 29-22 win over Cardiff in Galway.
Jack Carty’s 14-point haul ended the Blues’ hopes of prolonging their season, the Ireland fly-half scoring one of four tries for the province.
The Scarlets stayed in the hunt for the play-offs with a six-try 42-0 drubbing of Zebre, while Tian Schoeman scored 18 points as the Cheetahs thrashed the Dragons 38-13.
