Johan Goosen to return
After announcing his “retirement” in late 2016 from professional rugby, while still contracted to French giants Racing 92, Johan Goosen looks set for a comeback this weekend when the Cheetahs take on Munster in the Pro14
Goosen officially came out of “retirement” earlier this year as it was set for Montpillier’s owner Mohed Altred to buy out his 22 million rand contract with Racing. However plans then mysteriously changed again as the utility back re-linked with his original South African side, the Cheetahs, who have now confirmed that he will be available for the remainder of their Pro14 matches.
It is believed Goosen will run out at flyhalf in this weekend’s clash and that Rassie Erasmus will be present to witness the match.
A reminder of what the talented utility back could do pre his premature and temporary “retirement”
